No one really cares about Miles Morales. Also not being able to mod the gay shit out didn't help its case as well so...

it's too integral this time, huh?

Media awards shows are all trash. Especially video game awards. And they've been trash for decades.
      Stop making these moronic threads.

isn't it weird? The only consistent thing in media for so many, many years is the awards shows are garbage.

I was making a point about video game awards show getting any kind of validation outside of the glorified ad campaign it tends to be, the same way movie and show awards shows mean absolute frick and all.

i mean there's nothing wrong with it being promotional. Just.. -also make it legit-

The original didn't win shit either. Outside of Spiderverse and the MCU, Spider-Man is a failing brand

This is kind of hilariously delusional. Spiderman's so popular that spinoffs he's not even in can do well. The first Venom grossed more than either Spiderverse and the second probably would've done the same had it gotten a release in China/Russia.

Most people don't care about gay shit so they wouldn't mod it out even if your echo chamber have gays live rent free in your heads.

That's cool man, but no wishful thinking will ever erase the vocal, collective groan at this low IQ propaganda piece from all corners of the internet, including homosexual centrals such as reddit and twitter. You know, like the diversity you preach but don't practice.

it's really not, anons on this board and Cinemaphile are just overdramatic homosexuals like usual and are just butthurt that Miles is more active in the story and even then his whole arc is connected to Peter

literally his whole story centers around Peter
          >and yet the characters will go on and on with how great he is and how much they need him around
they really don't, they just commend him when he helps get rid of the symbiote

I'm convinced none of you actually played the game. If you weren't being dishonest about your points, maybe the game wouldn't have sold millions

Even the people who were salivating over this game's release now constantly talk about how rushed it is, lacking in features the first game had, the lack of suits from the first game (and how Peter has more fricking movie suits than comic ones), the pacing of the story being terrible, the story itself sucking hot ass, and overall not being worth the 5 year wait.
Also even normies are now nonstop talking about things like Miles being just Peter 1.5 in these games and MJ looking ugly as shit. They genuinely burned their good will with the fanbase.

That's one of the issues adapting the black suit arc. It's a fricking rush to get to venom that you speedrun what the suit does to Peter. Only spectacular got it right. The whole game should've been Peter wearing the symbiote and getting rid of it by the end. Which sets up venom for another game. They want their cake and to eat it too

        Anonymous

The suit originally didn’t do anything to him. It was just a living suit. It was Spidey 94 that had it affect his personality. Then every adaptation since incorporated that element.

          Anonymous

Unfortunately the 90s cartoon origin became the new canon. Battle within and all that. Highly doubt we get an adaptation where Peter doesn't go full brood wearing the suit. Also Yuri lowenthal sounded constipated delivering his Peter is angry lines

I was genuinely appalled how when the game dropped, I was like 15 hours in since I did everything immediately as it unlocked and still didn't have the black suit. You get it so fricking late in the game and then lose it again quick as shit. He has the fricking thing on for a matter of days and he's already immediately going psycho.

That's kind of what I'm wondering about, if pacing could have been more of a thing. I bought the game last week and already have it 100 % and platinum'd. There's not even a NG+ to take into the higher difficulties or a way to replay missions like Miles Morales had. If I had taken my time with the side quests and not tunneled on everything as soon as it unlocked then would I have appreciated it more? As it went, I was consistently doing the side quests as soon as they were available which, by the end of that only left time for the story to bullettrain ahead at breakneck speed. Lack of bios and social media feed this go-round was disturbing too. I liked the little bits of story in there and I'm not even a twittergay like that

Pretty much this. I switched from my beloved Xbox to the inferior PlayStation specifically for this game. I tried really hard to like it I really, really did even deluded myself for a while but it’s just no where near as good as the first game. And besides the rushed plot a lot of the blame does go to Miles, instead of Peter having more costume and gadgets they wasted all sorts of time on Miles shit that no one wants anyway.

    the good:
-boss fights, boss fights, boss fights
    -traversal
    -harry

    the disappointing
-easy, stale, repetitive combat, OP gadgets
-too much time on miles' tangential narrative

    the bad
-lack of side missions and nerfed crimes
    -rushed story
-symbiote takeover of nyc too short, glad i made a save file there bc its more fun than post-game

      Anonymous

      >glad I made a save file

I should have done this too, since there's no replay mission available (wtf) I realize I have to play it again and save before the moments I want to see.

I honestly think Kraven beating Peter/Miles then doing his "Lol, I win" move could give like a good plot beat for the two of them to bounce off. Instead it just felt squandered like everything else.

People liked the first game, where Miles and detective MJ were snuck in. The sales of the Miles spin off cratered. The sequel that makes Miles and detective MJ an even more central focus isn't as well received.
