Yeah, that's why they would need to ask the other person, because they actually do like them and would know more.

The object of this little Human game isn't to spend time talking about only things YOU like. You're supposed to reach out to others and see what life is like from inside their head. If they're decent people (and most aren't), they'll ask you about your rich inner life.

        >Why even play this game, Anon?
Because life is a long, slow, miserable march to the grave and small talk is a cheap and easy way to distract you and someone else from the mundane horror of it all.

It’s like going on Cinemaphile, going into a random thread, and asserting an opinion that’s completely irrelevant and derails the entire topic
              >Oh man I LOVE this show
              >I’ve never watched it but I like to jerk off to off model art of the characters

                >>I’ve never watched it but I like to jerk off to off model art of the characters
You just described every cartoon thread on Cinemaphile

                Anonymous

No, it's going into a thread on Cinemaphile and asking "I don't get the appeal of this show. Can you tell me what you like about it?" People love to talk about themselves and their interests and you can inquire about them through an honest and sincere question that gives them that opportunity.

You're projecting a lot of anti-social givens onto this kind of exchange.

                Anonymous

                >Can you tell me what you like about it?
Then everyone responds by telling you that you should have already watched it and to frick off, then as a bonus decides that you are either an anime fan or a fan of some other cartoon they are against.

Making small talk is the furthest thing from a "human connection". Bet you think a waitress wants to frick you because she asked you what your shirt was from

                Anonymous

Small talk is standard stuff, everyone does it, and it is necessary sometimes. Not every conversation needs to be about something grand, specially if you barely know the person, so you just talk about mundane stuff and gauge the person's responses to try to see what type of person they are.

Problem is keeping the conversation going, like if it were me, i'd probably say 'nah i dont watch many sports, but growing up i used to watch this and that team's games with my dad', to which the person would reply with something like 'ah they are doing well recently' or something, and then it'd be a bit of a struggle to keep the conversation going from there.

      I don't understand.
      Where is joke?
      WHERE?
      THIS FUNNY ISN'T FUNNY
      WHERE IS THE FUNNY?

This webcomic is often more about showing relatable daily life stuff than being funny, or the funny aspect often comes from it being relatable at times.

It's a little detail, but I like how their eyes always turn into one big pixel whenever they're focused on a screen.

I think it's more like the reflection of the screen.

I don't think so, since here they're clearly looking at the screen and the same blue reflection is there on their eyes, but the pupils are still the normal shape. The pupil turning into a big pixel is intentional to show how absorbed they are.

When was Rasputin a meme? As far as I'm aware the song was popular when it came out, and remained popular right up until today. Bobby Farrell even kicked the bucket in St. Petersburg after a performance, a stone's throw away from where Rasputin was killed.
