New changes made to the MCU.
Universes now have a Chosen Hero that if dies or is removed from their universe, will destroy their universe.
Tom Holland Spider-Man is the chosen hero of the MCU.
New changes made to the MCU.
Universes now have a Chosen Hero that if dies or is removed from their universe, will destroy their universe.
Tom Holland Spider-Man is the chosen hero of the MCU.
That sounds moronic.
But thats how it is in the comics.
616 universe Spider-man (its the main universe) is canon the chosen one on Marvel comics. Like, one time he was actually going to abandon the suit forever and the literal christian almighty god had to give him a peptalk about and say he is sorry for dealing Peter a shit hand but he needs to continue being spider-man and dealing with a shitty life otherwise the multiverse goes to shit
Nah, by the time he is old the universe is already "safe". Spider-man is a universal constant with some butterfly effect mumbo jumbo going on. He neds to existe to inspire other heroes and save future ones. And he is pretty much the only one who has been on every superhero team and every major event. even if for some very small part
>616 universe Spider-man (its the main universe) is canon the chosen one on Marvel comics
no he isn't you moron, you are doing crazy mental gymnastics to retcon him as being one, despite many many marvel characters having met literal god
stop being autistic and sucking off the mcu so much, it isn't good and you have shit taste
>many marvel characters having met literal god
yes, they have, but lower case god. But Peter is the one who met actual literal God, as in, not their version of the abrahamic one, but our version of actual almighty god. As in a omnipotent marvel god. There are two One above all and Peter met the top boss, the other isn't omnipotent.
homie get your IQ above the single digit before telling someone to off onself. We are just saying its not something new and its following the comics. Its not right, its moronic, but its Marvel as a whole at fault, not just the MCU
>Peter is the chosen one
>currently being cucked to death
Welcome to comic books.
Nah, in the comics each universe has a Molecule Man who dies to blow everything up.
>That sounds moronic.
The entire MCU sounds moronic
What did you expect from Michael Waldron.
FPBP
>Chosen one of the MCU
>isn't relevant for the first 2 phases
Holy desperation Batman
But there's still infinite parallel universes where other versions of said hero exist so the stakes aren't actually being raised here at all
but they're not the main characters in those alternate universes
Who gives a shit? There's still zero threat that a character such as Spiderman can ever actually be written out of the MCU now. That's why there's no stakes to any fight scenes after the multiverse is introduced.
>the stakes aren't actually being raised here at all
there were never any stakes anon it's just movies
Surely fricking Iron Man would be the chosen hero of the MCU
So the world ends when Spiderman dies of old age? That's moronic
them's the rules
>storyline about a group of villians that figure out who the main hero is
>invent a 'live forever' serum and keep them locked up until the hero prays for death
>villains take over the world
>it's up to the future generations of heroes to set him/her free and end the world for the good of everybody
>after credits scene shows an advert for euthanasia
i'd watch it
Luckily Peter never reaches 30 because Marvel is run by moronic manchildren.
That is a very bad idea to introduce when your franchise is becoming less sustainable due to continuity bloat.
The reason normies stopped watching MCU isn't because the plot was too hard to follow
Didn’t he die in Infinity War?
I’m assuming that is before the rules were established. Since Endgame and Loki changed the multiverse.
Yeah whatever its stupid
How did Endgame change the multiverse?
Loki escapes when they take the tesseract back in time in Endgame.
After his escape, his personal show begins and the moronic, nonsensical events that lead to the current state of the multiverse
Nobody watched loki season 2
So if the Designated Hero of Earth-306 is Teddy Roosevelt, the entire universe of Earth-306 ended when he died of old age in like 1920?
lol
this is some gayyyyy shit
don't worry, they will abandon this whole concept before they'll write themselves into a corner too much
Doesn’t Sony want to kill off MCU Peter and have Miles take over? How is that going to work with this?
They will just retcon it to Miles being the chosen hero. Or maybe Avengers 5 changes everything.
We are all spiderman
>Doesn’t Sony want to kill off MCU Peter and have Miles take over? How is that going to work with this?
That's just some fanboys theory. There is no way they will make a white straight guy the chosen of anything.
Plebbit idea tier
but Peter Died in the first part of the Thanos movie
no, he just didn't feel so good
This is the dumbest shit ever and I am a fanboy
>This is the dumbest shit ever and I am a fanboy
I'm not buying it as the rumor came out with a couple other garbage rumors.
there is no dying of old age in these universes?
Once AI is introduced for these movies, they’ll never have to worry about the actors getting old
>tfw even when i'm too old to move i can sit and watch all my favourite characters with my favourite actors doing cool things until i'm dead
>tfw tech is filled with autists who live for this shit so they will get every tiny, worthless detail ''correct'' for me to enjoy
>if i think it's shit i can tell myself ''well that's not real'' and watch a different version by a different autist
very based tbh
imagine willingly writing the story so one actor can demand obscene amounts of money for no reason
Holy frick, right when I think this multiverse shit can't get more moronic, it does. Bravo, Disney, bravo
>multiverse
>inb4 its just a joke for a throwaway line where dead goes
>SO you're saying I'm 20th Century Fox's cinematic Jesus?
thats literally in the trailer this is a confusing post
I haven't seen the trailer. This is concerning cause it sounds like it's going for the low hanging fruit.
nobody but greedy executives like multiverses
yeah so the hero they choose as the most important in the MCU is the one that isn’t even owned by marvel and can be taken away at any time by sony. i don’t buy it.
I believe it. Tom Holland Spider-Man is their biggest hero.
It’s meta way of Feige getting Holland to come back stating the franchise while die without him
WHO CARES
I pity capeshit fanboys that have to put up with this, holy shit.
>Tom Holland can't be replaced with miles morales
I don't believe it.
ENOUGH FROM THE MULTIVERSE
that's a good way to deal with all the infinite universe bullshit
>just pick a hero and kill them, if we have a flash of inspiration and regret it (we won't) we'll splinter off and make another universe just like it but a bit different
chosen one for what
Anon asking the real question here
It'd be some "key" thing where Spider Man is necessary for events, so rather than Tom Holland having a magic keep-universe-alive aura it'll be that the universe needs him as Spider Man to keep the big villain from destroying everything. Miles Morales will step in and save the day, leading to everyone (even the universe itself) unanimously agreeing that he's his own real Spidey and not a cheap replacement.
This is such a fundamentally NON-Spidey concept that...Stan Lee is turning in his grave or something.
The comic already went full moron on making some multiversal spider power that all spidermen are linked too instead of some kid who got radioactive spider powers.
Into the Spiderverse made lots of money so now Spiderman is just the multiverse spam franchise.
Comics did it first.
>comics do something moronic
>that makes it okay for the movies to be moronic too
jesus christ please have a nice day
I never said that. Why did you just invent something to get angry about?
>but that’s how it is in the comics
>comics did it first
I never tell people to kill themselves over the internet but you really should look up the price of helium
You are a moron.
It is weird that Disney was obsessed with wanting off Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, and Black Panther yet they treat Dr Strange like he is the black sheep of the MCU. They cut out his dead sister plotline from his movie and made him a sidekick to a Mexican lesbian.
What do they have against Strange? Especially when the actor loves the character and would be down to do more with him.
Even Wu gets shilled/pushed more than Dr Strange.
Wouldn’t it make more sense to make Dr Strange the new Stark of the MCU?
He is white.
He's a straight white male.
They already took his girlfriend and gave her to a black guy, overpowered him with Wanda, and took his job and gave it to an immigrant.
They are doing exactly what they want to do to straight white males.
Just on screen, so they can mock us.
How is that the suits still haven't realized after all these decades that multiverse shit is complete poison? Inevitably any time comics interact with this stuff the eyes of general audiences gloss over, they stop buying the content, the comic line goes into a death spiral, and it has to be rebooted. Its happened so many times for both Marvel and DC, yet they keep doing it, and they bullrushed head first into doing it for the movies and quickly killed off the most powerful franchise in Hollywood within a few years by doing so.
Just like everything else, the multiverse shit is ok in SMALL doses, but they are making it the lynchpin to everything for some fricking reason ensuring everyone will be sick of it
This seems like an awful idea since Tom Holland wants to quit being Spider-Man and retire from the MCU.
seems like the kind of moronic idea you'd expect from marvel though
Wow, they're really just going all in the moronation aren't they?
Pretty bold move to use a character you don't own the rights to as the staple of your franchise and explicitly mention that without that character, everything will canonically collapse.
Maybe they should've chosen someone like Shang Chi since Simu Liu's never going to turn down doing another film?
>Maybe they should've chosen someone like Shang Chi since Simu Liu's never going to turn down doing another film?
That was probably the original idea since Shang Chi was going to be the main character of Kang Dynasty before it changed.
>every universe has a chosen hero
Predicting it right now, they're going to undermine Logan's ending and make Wolverine the chosen hero of the Foxverse
>didn't actually die in logan
>buried alive but too weak to escape
This is it. This is the most moronic idea I've ever heard of.
>Theres one person with infinite plot armor that objectively makes them the most important person in their universe and it’s a good thing!!!
Looking forward to the inevitable “oh no spider-man died AGAIN so we gotta revive him with time travel AGAIN” avengers movie.
Why didn't it destroy the MCU universe when he got snapped?
>Somehow last time he died we were all fine.
So how did the universe exist before Peter Parker was born?
That is dumb AF.
At least pick Wolverine or someone who lives centuries. Peter Parker? Stupid. More so because he died in Infinity wars. We are just suppose to ignore that?
This is either moronic writing or a fake AF rumor
>tom holland dies off/leaves
>"oh no we need a new spidey things are falling apaaaaaart!"
>enter miles morales
That is 100% what will happen.
The MCU already got destroyed and physically removed from the universe of cinema by Avatar, Barbie, Oppenheimer, and Dune. Nobody wants to hear about that slop anymore.
>current marvel writers haven't even watched infinity wars
I'm enjoying Disney doing everything it can to kill itself.
But he died once
LOL imagine watching capeshit in 2024
imagine watching capeshit in 2008
>Tony Stark wasn't the This world's hero
>just some cuck who gave his live to save the world
>his gay twink protégé who does nothing but fail at everything he does is actually the hero
Yay thanks Fiege
Frick you, his gay twink gets replaced by dull Hispanic teen.
Love,
Feige
Deadpool 3 is also a joke movie
Deadpool turns everything he comes into contact with into a joke, this is a big problem if you want to make movies the audience can be invested in.
Sounds dumb.
>capeshit is bad
Wow, this is a revelation for you homosexuals?
Then again, you c**ts tricked me into watching Jessica Jones and that was some of the worst shit I had the displeasure to watch so I'm not surprised you have terrible fricking taste to stomach all this shit for so long.
>kill off and neuter all the beloved heroes
>the new wave of mega woke and hateful girlbosses will take their place with zero effort and be even MORE popular
>lol_nope.webp as they all flop one after the other without a single good movie
>mfw the only character left to grasp onto to try and thread water in this massive universe filled with fantastical people is a tiny moronic teenager flailing about shooting cum at walls that barely understands where he is
Watch it be fricking Miles Morales instead of Peter. Those homosexuals at Sony and Marvel Studios are probably waiting to do this.
Based based based I hope they actually do it, but they are too much of pussies to followthrough (chinese market).
Spiderman should've been separated from the rest of the MCU after No Way Home and have another set of trilogy about him.
is hugh gonna show is arms?
I can’t wait to never watch this shit.
Go woke, go broke.
What the hell does that even mean? You know what, I'm kind of glad I don't actually know.
>tfw the writers frick over your ultimate sacrifice redemption arc
Then why didn't the universe disappear when the snap happened in Infinity Wars?
I absolutely love the fact that comicbook movies have went to shit because of (among other things) they have developed the same obsession with continuity that bogs down the comic industry. It's poetic, honestly.
>Tom Holland Spider-Man is the chosen hero of the MCU.
He died in the SNAP and life went on
This new bullshit story rumor is just that, bullshit.
Because he came back.
So how'd the universe survive for so long before he was born?
Will this means anything in the movies though? When they get a new Spiderman actor it'll just restart his story again.
>Spider-Man got snapped
>universe didn't end
>Universes now have a Chosen Hero that if dies or is removed from their universe, will destroy their universe.
I know that deep down this shit doesn't matter but, why? Why do universes now have a chosen hero that if dies or is removed from their universe, will destroy their universe? Why is Spider-Man the chosen hero of the MCU?
>With great power comes great responsibility. You’re now responsible for the entire fricking universe Peter.
but what if he can't shot web
>Save the MCU by making it as stupid as Spiderverse.
Nope.
> Sony owned character is Anchor of MCU.
Amy sure cucked Kevin.
>create a superhero where the entire ethos is that they're the literal everyman
>make them a god
kek marvel is cooked
Nobody cares about this shit anymore. I do not know a single person who has watched marvelshit in the past three years. This is a dead brand nobody gives a frick about. Who honestly watches this shit?
>Please don't leave us, Sony!
>there is an infinite number of universes
>you can always go back in time or jump to another universe if something goes wrong
Honestly, why bother with anything in this type of story?
>Universes now have a Chosen Hero that if dies or is removed from their universe, will destroy their universe.
So this is how they bring in Moira McTaggert.
Remember when Spider-Man was a street level hero?
This just sounds like a meta joke. Like having franchises end when the main star end their contract.
>Without Hugh Jackman this X-men universe is falling apart
>James Gunn left so now the GOTG are done forever
MCU is Disney's chosen hero.
