I think it would depend too on how audiences react to Mothra being in this one. If they see that people want Toho kaiju then they're more likely to pay for more licenses.

It's the camera angles too. It isn't framed to emphasize their scale anymore. The whole thing just looks like it was produced as generic capeshit, but the heroes were reskinned to monsters and some of the set pieces are occasionally reskinned to be buildings.

I think it would depend too on how audiences react to Mothra being in this one. If they see that people want Toho kaiju then they're more likely to pay for more licenses.
If they want to do a Toho villain but don't use Gigan then I could see them doing some OC new form of Ghidorah.
Apparently they had some OC Titan in place of Mothra originally but there was backlash at the test screenings big enough for them to swap it out for Mothra, so you never know. Women love mothra too, every girl I've watched Godzilla with loves her.

Gigan seems like the most likely Toho kaiju for them to do, but it depends on the future of the series. If GxK is a mega hit and the MV continues then its possible, Gigan is one of the only villains to be in multiple movies already.
Destroyah makes no sense in the MV. Destroyah's design is cool enough but hes still mostly known because of his connection to the Oxygen Destroyer and his movie was good.

The novelizations have been leaning pretty hard on inserting bits of characters talking about various creation myths of the first humans emerging from caves and with how much they're pushing Hollow Earth now, I imagine there's going to be a big thing about "The myths were true, humans originated in the Hollow Earth just like the monsters" with this new underground tribe in the movie.

It's the camera angles too. It isn't framed to emphasize their scale anymore. The whole thing just looks like it was produced as generic capeshit, but the heroes were reskinned to monsters and some of the set pieces are occasionally reskinned to be buildings.
