>New Guy can't keep up the Rick-voice while screaming/shouting his lines
>and Rick does that like 80% of every episode
Yep, its dead jim.

When he said "Rick and Morty we're back baby"... just awful... not even close
Was that really the best take they could get of the new voice?
same energy
to bad the show is popular in all other languages
They should have got Tracy Morgan to do all the voices
If that's the best Rick they could get, I think I would've preferred it if they didn't even try to find an accurate voice-match and went with someone who can fit his personality. A different enough performance to not invoke that uncanny valley effect while still being true to the character. I saw someone suggest Steven Ogg. That could've been good. Or maybe the grass is just greener on the other side.
Should've just been Michael Cusack.
Cusack certainly had the energy despite the accent.
Link to that shit?
You can easily find the trailer on YouTube to lazy fatass
not interested enough to look for it. post a link.
>voice is perfect match except for the outlying, high-intensity lines
This is AI
Until they reveal the VA to be a real person, I'm going to believe this.
AI can handle shouting, Roiland Rick shouted plenty of times
it's close enough to be recognizable. i promise u most ppl don't gaf
I don't mean to sound like I'm some kind of badass with an ultra-original, outside-the-box opinion, but after a solid decade I am really and truly sick of Justin Roiland's voice. Korvo being a stuck-up British guy makes sense and the new R&M voices feel like a breath of fresh air. No one else will ever be able to do a good Lemongrab though
Dan Hartman is voicing Rick
Why did they change the voice actors for two of the most iconic characters? This was really stupid.
Because they're really stupid. There was a whole thing, but that's what it comes down to.
The legality of a guy who punched a girl and lost his show over it or something. I heard they were losing polar opposites not Rick & Morty. Really dumb if true
>new guy is superior to old guy in voice acting and he doesnt beat women in fits of rage
sounds like a win in my book.
>and he doesnt beat women in fits of rage
How's this a win?
Have you seen what b***hes are like?

This is so much better
its over anons, it was fun while it lasted
This AI slop sounds like fricking shit. What the frick are you idiots smoking
Both the AI and the impersonator sound slightly off. Yet neither is bad enough or good enough to make a difference in the overall show quality. Having heard both now, whether the show should use AI or an impersonator makes no difference except for your personal principles regarding AI usage.
all the AI shit I've heard sounds fake as frick. Sometimes it sounds alright, but inevitably in every single clip there's a part that sounds unnatural.
At least with a voice actor it's a real person and a real performance.
I personally don't mind Rick's new voice. He sounds more like an old geezer, which is kinda fitting for his character. If it were 15 years in the future and you told me it was still Justin Roiland doing the voice, I would have believed it.
Because Fry in the new Futurama season sounds slightly off too, because Billy West is getting old.
Fricks sake AI would literally have been better than the half-arsed impersonator they got.
Whatever, Cыeндyк will still voice him anyway.
does he even get paid for that?
He got hired by Kinopoisk and became an official dubber, pretty sure they pay him a lot
The new Morty VA nailed it but yeah the new Rick sounds like someone trying to do an impression of Rick and he cannot hit the high notes when Rick starts to yell and instead sounds like when someone is pretending to yell but doesn't want to actually yell because their parents might hear.
I thought Rick sounded better than Morty.
Morty sounds like his balls un-dropped
It doesn't sound that off.
do you think they will address the voice change in universe or will it just never be brought up?
I hate that there was that one guy who could literally do both Rick and Morty perfectly... so well in fact that Justin thought it was scary and said he probably wouldn't notice unless if he was paying really close attention that it wasn't his doing the voice, yet for some fricking reason they went for this guy instead?
Do you mean Sean Kelly?
His Morty was perfect but his Rick sounded wrong to me. I actually like the Rick they chose better than Sean Kelly's.
The Morty they went with sucks ass compared to his though
more like sean smelly
(rumors say he's voicing mr poopy butthole in the upcoming season)
Seems weird to cast him as PBH but not Morty
yeah I don't get it either
Yeah, the scream is terrible, and will ruin the show for me.
Sounds castrated
I didn't even give him a chance.
I think the funniest thing is how many more actors they'll need to pay for considering how many characters JR did.
This will probably kill the show with the strike demanding more pay.
