You misunderstand that fundementally this show implies that hell is just where the societal heaven rejects went after not approving of heavens dictatorship. There is no punishment there neither for sinners or demons including the main cast of this show, because in Viv’s mind 90% of the sinners and demons there are not actually in the major wrong for anything beyond social indiscretions and shouldn’t be held accountable for their actions unless it conflicts with her (current year) political compass. It’s definitely born of the modern day individualist ‘it’s all society’s fault I am as I am, I dindu muffin, why do I have to change beyond just shallow actions when it’s everyone else who is pushing ME down’. See the leaks of Adam, Lucifer, and the angels like Sera with the context of Beezelbub and Ozzie and Mammon. They are the context that spell everything out for where the series is going and kinda imply Viv’s worldview based on those writing decisions.

It's bizarre how the hell show doesn't really have prominent, strongly masculine characters. Paimon or Vortex are maybe the most notable examples I can think of, but they don't play big roles in the story so far.
In a fairly lawless place you'd think it would encourage more shows of machismo or attempts at dominating through physical strength and literal manpower. Especially since the story's universe seems to be critiquing older and traditionally male-led power structures, which historically tend to proliferate in places where the government is weakest. Instead most of the male characters seem oddly effeminate.
Fizz got his balls snipped and while I want to like Crimson, he suffers from this constant trend in the cast of being too silly in his ineptitude despite trying to be passed off as a malevolent mob boss domestic abuser to act as Moxxie's more broken reflection.
Crimson is the most wasted character on the entire show. He is the closest character in the entire show to seeming like an actual threatening presence and they still manage to frick it up by making him too goofy and inept after his first appearance, which was fine and one of the only good S2 episodes. He would have been so easy to get right too, he's just a mafia dad who hates his son for leaving the business that's like the most generic backstory ever. The exact same thing happened to Striker too, he was menacing and competent but got turned into a total joke later.
Why do they keep doing this with villains? Who is even supposed to be the main bad guy? Striker and Stella have been turned into Team Rocket, Crimson doesn't even have a goal or connection to Moxxie anymore and is in the same boat, the DHORKs, Cherubs, and Verosika are completely MIA, Mammon is a complete b***h, are we supposed to be afraid of Paimon? He's been in it for like one minute in a bad flashback episode.

I found it amusing how she was modeled after her voice actress as well. Mostly noticeable when she is a human. She was in RWBY as Robyn Hill and modeled after her as well but that was her worst character she played to date. 'The book' seems to be unfinished and focus on some weird 'octavia is actually stolas' mother' time travel thing that I did not care for.
However the first story in the series is fairly passable. Its mostly just Octavia and Stolas fricking with quite a lot of backstory so I'll likely finish reading it.

There's a pretty easy rebuttal for that, Hazbin is being animated by Bento Box instead of Spindlehorse. Combined with the fact this is now on Amazon Prime instead of free on Youtube, the indie excuse won't be able to cut it.

It's bizarre how the hell show doesn't really have prominent, strongly masculine characters. Paimon or Vortex are maybe the most notable examples I can think of, but they don't play big roles in the story so far.
In a fairly lawless place you'd think it would encourage more shows of machismo or attempts at dominating through physical strength and literal manpower. Especially since the story's universe seems to be critiquing older and traditionally male-led power structures, which historically tend to proliferate in places where the government is weakest. Instead most of the male characters seem oddly effeminate.

Fizz got his balls snipped and while I want to like Crimson, he suffers from this constant trend in the cast of being too silly in his ineptitude despite trying to be passed off as a malevolent mob boss domestic abuser to act as Moxxie's more broken reflection.
Crimson is the most wasted character on the entire show. He is the closest character in the entire show to seeming like an actual threatening presence and they still manage to frick it up by making him too goofy and inept after his first appearance, which was fine and one of the only good S2 episodes. He would have been so easy to get right too, he's just a mafia dad who hates his son for leaving the business that's like the most generic backstory ever. The exact same thing happened to Striker too, he was menacing and competent but got turned into a total joke later.
Why do they keep doing this with villains? Who is even supposed to be the main bad guy? Striker and Stella have been turned into Team Rocket, Crimson doesn't even have a goal or connection to Moxxie anymore and is in the same boat, the DHORKs, Cherubs, and Verosika are completely MIA, Mammon is a complete b***h, are we supposed to be afraid of Paimon? He's been in it for like one minute in a bad flashback episode.

I think, that basically Stolas af Stella are just grown teenagers. That they got married young and force to have a baby and then just told to do his job.
Stolas never had that thing of dating around, or making mistakes, finding out what you truly want to do. His basically living a life lived by other people expectations.
It is the massively indulgence of Viv and hopefully Rodgers was not having him as his author self-insert for this aspect. It is incredibly off putting he is supposed to have a huge knob when he keeps trying to find any opportunity to frick M&M and early on seemed far less concerned if they were wanting it.
