I been watching star trek since I was 8 years old and if I had seen prodigy when I was 8 I would had lost my mind and that's the best compliment I can give to any cartoon.
Of you're 8 years old and have the profile of a trek fan prodigy will be the best cartoon you've seen and if you're an adult you just need to soften and appreciate it for what it is.
Prodigy is trek, it's just missing the melodrama that hooks adults but has all the science and adventure that makes children's imagination fly.

I bet you even have a dad, c**tbag
It's good! It just has a little bit of kids-show stink on it
not like the way fraggle rock did from time to time, but nearly as forgivable. more like some executive clearly tossed in some notes like "This is what kids like!"
but MOST of the issues are centered around the main character. and he actually does get better over time. Beyond him, everyone's pretty great. It starts out looking way too starwarsy, but that turns out to be deliberate so that once they LEAVE that setting, it's like "ah that's better" and we get their perspective on how special life aboard a starship is compared to what they used to have.
i saw it when it WAS new. that's why I told anon how good it is, because i saw it already. no idea why you replied to me like I thought it was new.
also why would it be on netflix and not paramount plus...
Yes. It´s written by people who care bout Trek. It starts a bit rough (the two part pilot is a lightsaber away from being sued by the Mouse, the third episode has Dal as an impossibly grating butthole) but by episode 5-6 (Terror Firma, Kobayashi) it shows its true colors.

>New Star Trek Cartoon on Netflix
A. IT'S NOT NEW
B. IT WAS ORIGINALLY A KIDS SHOW ON NICK
Maybe anon just put on Netflix and saw it?
Started out on Paramount+ with rebroadcasts on Nick, got canceled and picked up by Netflix.
>push a streaming service literally no one uses or wants to use
>cancel shows due to low viewership
Is Paramount moronic or something?
Well their next move may see Papa Zazz taking the axe to their catalog if that prospective Warner Bros Paramount merger happens.
>Zaslav
Oh god
Is not that nobody is watching but that not enough people subbed to watch it.
Streaming services are not about views but about new subscribers.
I don’t know a single person who pays for Paramount+.
Well, since anon has an anecdote I guess that means it's time to pack it in folks!
They literally give you another two months free if you try to cancel.

Yes
Eeehh it's alright for a kiddie show. I think some of the designs are a miss, especially the purple protagonist guy.
Holo-Insaneway is fun.

A goodbye.
>A goodbye.
To what?
Janeway is a bad character.
Don’t know I’ve always been more of a whovian.
