I agree. I like the feeling of it, and the story is good, but something about it makes me slightly uncomfortable. Maybe it's just the old obscure VHS feeling or the NES thing but a lot of people who are having mental problems regress into this nostalgia video art style so it comes off as off putting.

Audrey & Victor being overly cutesy was funny contrasted with fricking Hitler painting furry stuff/ I didn't think I was supposed to find them genuinely endearing.

Alot of people cope with the hardships of life by making or consuming overly wholesome media.
this is why i avoid those kind of media, they make me my heart feel sweet, kind and compassionate. I dont like that.
