So not only has culture moved forward in time at a dramatic pace, the average age of the target demographic of flash media(people with shitty PC's and maybe a console) has actually gone backwards in time as well, speeding up the process of feeling old twice as fast.
That's the cycle, friend. Everyone goes through it. Enjoy things while you're still young; soon you'll be seeing how everything got worse compared to your days.
Modern culture is so laser-focused on teens than young adults experience rapid alienation from it. I experienced the same thing in my early 20s, 8 years ago now. I know it's a relatively recent phenomenon because my literal baby Boomer parents still followed pop culture into the mid-90s when they were in their 40s.

Even though I was mainly a console gamer, I LOVED playing the flash games on the family's potato pc.
