The one here is before they renamed it Wild Thornberrys but it has Eliza's ass-ugly NTAW design and she became the main character at this point. Super fascinating stuff

It's actually pretty common for big corporations to make digital back ups of this kind of stuff. Mattel is sitting on the original Thomas the Tank Engine pilot, and was sitting on the Magic Railroad Director's Cut, too, as well as stills from the cancelled "Missing Coach" episode. There was also a huge leak recently of production scripts and documents from the 80s.

also I think you're overreacting a little sure some of that pitch bible stuff being kept would have probably been better but FOP prior to its first cancellation after Season 5 is still overall a really good show
It was a good show but stuff within the revision sort of showed why it became the way it did. Making it sort of a law that every episode focus on Timmy and involves his fairies limited their creativity. It was times they went outside this box and focused on other characters (like in The Big Scoop) that treated truly memorable episodes.

I remember Jim Jinkins saying the Doug bible was incredibly detailed, and looking at it now, he wasn't kidding.

I think the first time Vicky tried to assault Timmy was in a season 4 episode, trying to chop him up with an axe. I remember fans being pissed at the episode for that reason, when it first aired.
A lot of the pillars and established character traits are what made the show good in the first place. But they run out of ideas and have to break their own rules, the whole show falls apart, which only got worse season after season.

the mini-series bible does describe wanting to do "Vicky episodes" that focused on her... I can't recall seeing that many outside of maybe one or two of the pilot season episodes.
also, FoP appears to have two series bibles. the second was a revision by Steve Marmel that does away with those ideas and does shit like set into law "episodes must have running gags" and also removed Tootie's character bio for some reason, suggested that Chester should become a criminal, compared Vicky to Hitler and some weird shit. I remember a lot of people crediting Marmel for being the "true brains" behind FOP/DP's more serious stuff but this kind of suggests the opposite.

It's an anthology series. Each sister gets a bunch of episodes focusing on them specifically. It seems Lisa, Lucy, and Lori are the most heavily focused on but they all get episodes

One of the first episodes was a Lincoln/Lucy episode where he sticks up for her. She also tended to be the more docile of sisters compared to the others (unless of course she was acting in accordance to Sister Hivemind episodes). Plus her design and perpetually hidden eyes make her a visually interesting character.

Oh I forgot, the actual copies of episodes also come from their media API thing that's used by their websites internally. You can see it in the Inspect Element Network tab when watching a video. People have had access to some kind of index for that thing for even longer.

It's pretty much a dead effort for a couple years due to all the brute-forcing potential filenames required.. things like the 3D Groove games and Slimeball Online have "src" folders but the filenames are unknown.. same goes for most of the flash games. A friend of mine has access to the Viacom asset archive (not saying where they work or their position), and I can confirm they have a LOT of stuff from various Viacom media across all their networks. When I saw it, there was random B-roll of live action stuff, merch designs, PSDs and other raw asset files for various shows, copies of shows in higher quality than have ever been released to the public, and probably more that I'm forgetting. Unless an employee's account was compromised by an outside attacker, I'm willing to bet someone is in deep shit for this leak.

What do they gain from intentionally using shit quality masters for streaming? Invader Zim on paramount plus looks awful due to being tape transfers of some kind and even the old DVD sets are better looking
This is only speculation, but I would guess the tape transfer is what they had on hand, and they don't have all the original assets to do a proper re-release. Another friend of mine worked for a division of Disney, and their archives are/were a complete clusterfrick, so it wouldn't surprise me if Viacom's are patchier than I'm giving them credit for. I only got a peek at the archive once and I'm not about to ask my friend to put their job at risk again, so I can't really answer any questions beyond that.

For many kids shows in the 90's, after they forwarded the masters to other countries to get dubbed (so they could split the music from the dialogue), they'd throw them away, because they believe they served their purpose. "Remastering" or "Uspcaling" decades later was never a thing to consider.

Those are just upscales from digibeta, which looks good when transfered right. I know for a 100% fact viacom tended to never keep stuff like that because its really expensive to store and nobody thought about potential future remastering back when it was made
You're probably right, but it's funny how the upscales are able to show stuff that wasn't easily seen, like here, you can see a LOT of jpg artificing from around the frame especially, implying that the crew saved the original photo as a low quality jpg file lol
