Of all the movies ever made, this is indeed one of them.
This movie looks like giga slop aesthetically and is living proof that the anime artstyle was never meant for 3d.
the joke is its not "anime style," james cameron literally didn't understand that the giant eyes weren't some trait unique to martians, that it was just how all anime looks.
I really didn't think much of it on my first watch and soon forgot it existed. Then randomly watched it again and turns out it is really damn fun. CG also looks very good, especially the roller skates scenes near the end.
Although some of the enemy designs look like shit, I will acknowledge that. This shit is painful to look at.
Hope James Cameron is as heavily involved with this one as he was the first because Robert Rodriguez is fricking dogshit
