Think it was even watched twice as much in the second week compared to the first one. I simply view it as nice adventure with some serious inner conflicts. Nothing super special but it wasn't bad by any means IMO. You would think that "adventure" and a bit of drama wasn't much that I was asking for and yet I barely get it anymore. I am tired of Rick and Morty clones, netflix "anime" and super safe family shit like the stuff Pixar makes and most anime are shit as well.
I'm straight and I liked it. It had its problems and I think there was a better movie that didn't quite make it out, but I enjoyed what I got and had fun.
>book was award winning
Ehhh that’s not saying much, it’s not to hard to win a book award. Plus I think the only reason this movie worked was keeping a good distance from the source material.
I'd argue that looking back at old Eisner winners, I don't enjoy all the old winners myself, but there's less "lol, wtf is that thing? How did THAT win?" than with Academy awards or the like.
Hard to say, Ruby had a lot going against it. I think Nimona is fairing well because it was a straight to streaming release meaning it didn't have competition from Spiderverse or Elemental.
>Hard to say, Ruby had a lot going against it.
For one thing, it was a bad movie.
Not TOTAL shit, but it was indeed a bad movie that needed several more rewrites. Humor could have carried it if they'd put in more jokes, but it was surprisingly light on those, the plot ended up going down the toilet, a bunch of the character designs were pure shite, and these just wasn't much in the way of genuinely fun action scenes.
Sure, it being mid doesn't help any but Elemental is doing better and that film is also mid. Nimona would have crushed the two with pure ratings, and as such word of mouth. What I'm skeptical of is the adveritising. That's what I think is barely saving Elemental but also what killed Ruby. I think that's why straight to streaming was a smart choice for Nimona. Let the reviewers do the advertising for free. It might be less money initially but it being in theaters could have killed Nimona. I think theaters just don't have much patients for original films anymore.
Honestly I think it would have fared well. Futureknights and a cute shapeshifter. Great fight scenes, and virtually no preachiness.
Compare with the "weapons are wrong, m'kay?" preachiness of Spies in Disguise. Yeesh.

Yeah, Nimona definitely seems like the type to not want to commit and settle down with one relationship and instead prefers random hook ups with complete strangers at clubs and in back alleys.
>Nimona at the local bawdy house >"So how we doin' this, girl?" >OKAY SO PUT THIS LONG BLONDE WIG ON AND THIS DRESS AND HOLD THIS LITTLE WOODEN SWORD >"Alright..." >NOW SAY "I'M SORRY NIMONA I WAS JUST JEALOUS OF HOW CUTE YOU WERE NIMONA I NEVER MEANT TO HURT YOU NIMONA" >"Are you crying?" >SHUT UP
>or
Anon, Nimona ain't gonna settle for 1. Or even 2.

First love had her ostracized, tried to kill her when she became an adult and built a nation trash talking her existence for 1000 years.
Might be a bit before she considers dating again
Everyone very much wants people to think this movie is a very big deal, a huge success, and a masterpiece of artistic creation because LGBTetc allegories or whatever, but no one has very much to say about it , which is really all you need to know. It's forgettable and it barely entertains.
You cared enough to make a thread about it when there were no threads up
OP is clearly a member of the alphabet crowd
FPBP
"Why does nobody care about [thing]" threads are self-defeating.
Welcome to the crowd!
There seems to be a decent number of Nimoaners. Guess the Alphabet crowd is big.
>Nimoaners
I have mixed feelings about this fandom name.

OH N-
It's good and way better than what it deserved to be
I mean the book's an award-winner and the crew was top notch, I'd say it deserved to be pretty damn good.

Then why are you posting about it?
I didn't know this show existed, look pretty gay.
It would have been a flop if it came out on theater.
I bet my boots it would have fared better than Ruby Gillian
Hard to say, Ruby had a lot going against it. I think Nimona is fairing well because it was a straight to streaming release meaning it didn't have competition from Spiderverse or Elemental.

Will Nim ever find a gf or bf of her own?

How did you know about the cut scene?
Nimona would definitely cry during sex
Yeah, Nimona definitely seems like the type to not want to commit and settle down with one relationship and instead prefers random hook ups with complete strangers at clubs and in back alleys.
I wouldn't go that far. She seems more the sort to have MANY "friends with benefits" while simultaneously going light on the one-night-stands.
probably not. She likes more like an agent of chaos and seems content being by herself. She just doesn't want people treating her like shit.
polyamary where the only "sex" is fully clothed cuddleing

I'm going to assume no one uploaded a mega of this, huh?
Torrent or PL.
I care
>tranime
Is this just Kipo but with wienery latinas and worse animation?
From what I remember of Kipo this is nothing like it, besides the fact that the main male character is gay.
I do unless there is an A for Assburger in the LGBT+ acronym.
It's weird, for a minute there I thought they were going to have the gay mexican get with the dragon e-girl.

>A comic that had a big following on Tumblr is only cared about by people that would come from Tumblr
Okay.
