The Wire might be better and have a larger scale but The Shield is extremely focus and much more smaller yet all tge emotional moments hit so much hard than The Wire ever has
Sure is boring trash. I mean, when I watched it it felt good, but nothing rly outstanding now that I think about it. The dock guy was aight, but otherwise frick you, way more memorable and intense shit in shield
Yeah what the Shield was really lacking was a season in a newsroom and a handsome writer's self insert character who knows how to properly use "evacuate" in a sentence while a cute coloured girl writer is amazed at how wicked smart he is. Also, instead of a solidly written black female character like Claudette they should have gone for... Kima and just made everyone around her dumb to try to make her look smart.
I think you're right. No other show is as intense as The Shield. I actually can't believe this was an FX show. Fox/FX television shows are always so god damn generic and pg13.
um yeah... get yourself in a major criminal conspiracy where the participants will face life unless they snitch first and see what happens if you act that flakey. Let us know how it goes anon.

Lem was Lem. He wasn't a snitch. He had a solid deal
Everyone calls Shane a monster for doing this but he still felt considerably bad about it despite Lem burning $750k that he risked his life to get.
Even if Lem wasn't going to snitch, burning the money would be enough reason for me to put him down.
All the seasons are great, but that doesn't mean they're equally so
Season 2 (Money Train) probably is the weakest, because the show hadn't yet tightened its focus: the police-procedural stuff with Dutch and some other side plots are just kind of unnecessary or simply take longer than they should
The first half of Season 5 drags in a similar way, and is probably the second-worst season
Again, even though they're 'the worst', I would still watch and recommend them enthusiastically; they're just not as good as the others.
The Wire, but for morons
so the wire?

>Here's the handsome reporter I was telling you about
*for non-Black folk

Holy kino
It was different back then. I pity zoomers forced to eat goyslop daily.
>forced
Just don't hit the play button
Lem deserved this
frick you Black person
How?
Burned the money. Was going to snitch.
>Was going to snitch
No evidence

homosexual
>Salvadoran grenadewich with extra fragmentation, no pins? My favorite, buddeh : )
He pulls a pin before dropping it
Wouldn't be a no pin grenadewich if there were still pins in it

Lem was right. They never should have gone after the money in the first place
BUT HE HAD TO, RIGHT?
grenade sandwich a little spicy
>15 years later
>Ronnie is still in prison
poor fricking guy
He got a back full of shiv and an ass full of cum day 1.
The show's biggest flaw is that there isn't enough high moments and there's too much filler
>The show's biggest flaw is that there isn't enough high moments
That’s where you’re wrong bucko
Was it really necessary to roll this in the opening for 5 seasons straight?
Yes, just in case you forgot he got face raped
unironically yes
>SUCK IT
>last season is also the best
How many other shows are like this?
What’s the worst season?
Money train
That season was great
Hate to use this term but It kinda felt like the show jumped the shark, rest of the show was great though.

Season 6
4
Rewatching season 6 and 7. Amazing how many opportunities Shane had to get out but fricked them all up
Friendly reminder that Julien did nothing wrong.
In real life or the show?
yes
Did Vic do anything wrong?
Throwing Ronnie under the bus
What choice did he have?
Offing yourself is always an option when you've gotten yourself that deep in the shit. You don't need to hurt more people to try and escape.
>just have a nice day bro
If only Shane had done it before he'd killed Lem rather than after.
Telling Ronnie the truth and giving him a signal to run the moment the ICE deal was solidified.
No way ICE wouldn't suspect Vic of tipping Ronnie

Try "Rescue Me".
Looks good, I'll have to give it a watch sometime
Watching season 7 for the first time was something else. There were times where I legitimately didn't know what side Vic was playing
Only the parts with Dutch were good.
