That's the good thing about Supernatural. Made by a israeli guy but still masculine. Multiple times where Dean makes fun of gay people and feminine guys. Maybe it was the times.

Telling people to kill themselves is horrible. What if they actually did it? Honest question. I’ve thrown the word homosexual around before but telling someone to kill themselves when there’s a real possibility they might do it is fricking horrible

I've done it a bunch, and can only hope a few people took the advice

It is safe to assume he is a repressed homosexual in denial. I am a homophobe myself, but I don't seethe and screech at the mere implication that someone is handsome.

Literally can't think of any character who's remotely similar anymore. The idea of a decently fun, charismatic guy who's actually masculine is increasingly rare in media depictions.

too many women, blacks and gays right now

I'm not white or male or straight, but I'm so sick of diversity casting because it's so badly written, there are plenty of series that weren't ENTIRELY white and male but MOSTLY -- and the women, blacks, and (subtextual) gays in those series are much better written. The Thing (1982) is an women-free movie and it's one of my favouriate movie, might be favourite right now since it's so hot I like watching something cold. There's 2 black guys in it but it didn't feel political. Ditto for Ultraviolet (1998), it has a white woman played by Susannah Harker and a black guy played by Idris Elba, with a hinted budding romance between them in the end, but it didn't feel political, it didn't feel like they are or should be celebrate for their race or sex, they were all fleshed out characters with fleshed out relationships with each other. The main star is the white male Catholic cop Michael Colefield who was played by the young doe-eyed Jack Davenport, he got the traditional female character role of The Heart but he's also masculine, clever and brave, and he's casing one girl while being chased by another girl. Pearse is the priest / vampire hunter whose personality is like a crusader but in modern times -- they have carbon tipped bullets instead of stakes.

you might be a Black, you might be a homosexual or even a pretend woman whos about to 40% himself but i cant disagree, old kino even with the tropes you said felt different, more natural and they're still pretty good... so i guess thats the only thing left to watch

Sometimes I wonder if Current Year is actually trying to make everybody hate women, blacks, and gays, by forcing it on everyone and doing it so badly, like replacing Nick Fury with a black guy. I feel like Current Year is deliberately pushing for a conflict of white vs black, man vs woman, when we got along before, or better at least.

That is one of my favorite Angel episodes. And, yeah, when Angel got cancelled I was wondering what to watch because Buffy and X-Files were already cancelled. I was so happy when Supernatural was announced.

      X-Files

Is the show still worth watching after they kill Lucifer or whatever the frick it was? Watched 1 ep after and it seemed kinda lame

No it isnt. There are some good episodes in the middle but it is very bad overall.

You mean Season 5? Yeah no reason to watch any episode after that. The main writer Eric Kripke left and the show is terrible after that

Has its moments, but that is absolutely the moment they should have ended it on. Anything past S5 is basically just a filler arc from an anime

It's insane how quick the decline in quality was. Literally Season 6 Episode 1 you can tell something is different. Characters talk different. Lost their personality.

Such a hilarious change. Go watch the first season, then watch the episodes with Charlie.

          It's such a stark contrast.

lol the episodes after lucifer died were the last two episodes of the entire series

        Anonymous

anon he obviously didn't watch far enough to get anywhere close to there, he definitely meant the end of season 5 where they bring Sam's character arc to a close and they seal Lucifer away, effectively killing him

except they basically retcon all of that afterwards and make it very, very gay

      Anonymous

It's okay. The best episodes after Season 5 are the standalone monster of the week episodes and the "fun" episodes. Everything else is lame as frick aside from one or two episodes here and there. For instance, Cain is pure kino.

        Anonymous

It was like this for Buffy too, both Buffy and Supernatural should have ended after their Season 5 and the only good things were the standalone special episodes, the overarching plotline tend to be lame and a lot of plotholes and stuff they forget as time goes on, like : Adam Milligan.

Why do sexless women gravitate to this show so much? It’s THE show for lonely dorky women. IIRC they were going for a high school/college male audience, but that demographic ignored the show and instead they got a legion of loyal femcels.

I only started watching that show recently because my friend, who happens to be straight and male, told me to

There are straight male fans of Supernatural since there is men killing monsters at a time when that's rare in television, but the women are mainly watching because this show got pretty men in pain, crying, tied up, felt up, etc -- the Supernatural kink meme / ao3 is like the most scary depraved place on the internet, the things that thursdayshunter wrote would make the average serial sex killer blush,

  11. 10 months ago

I like the first few seasons but the power creep honestly killed it. Heaven and Hell should've remained two virtually unknowable Superpowers that were mainly in the background, and time and Angel or Demon appeared it should've been a near death experience not another week day

I liked that the Wincester brothers split up and made their respective horror movies.
You got Dean in My Bloody Valentine and Sam in the Friday 13th reboot. Too bad that didn't become more a thing. Supernatural became stale after a while but watching them in horror movies was very cool.
