Did you notice how dark the lighting was in those sparring scenes, despite them being out in broad daylight? It's to make the glow of the sabers more apparent. Maybe I'm just massively nitpicking but it was a little distracting.
It's really distracting. So far the best Disney has done with lightsabers was Asohka in Mando and I think that was before they started using the real lit up ones.

It should've been a 3 hour movie. The scenarios and general plot and Obi-Wan's characterization are good, but it doesn't have a high enough budget and the directing is C grade.

Man I really don’t care what race an actor is anymore, but everything about Reva is awful. From design to execution to writing, it is a complete failure on all fronts. She is a bad actress in a bad costume pantomiming badly for bad cgi. Some things about the show are interesting, but she is solidly in the negatives of the show.

Some of the ideas are okay, but the execution is awful. The production values look cheap from the sets to the clothes. The camera work is shoddy, action scenes poorly directed, color grading is terrible. It looks like a fan film you'd find on youtube in 2007 without the soul the fans would put into it. I don't mind Obi-wan having to rescue a young Leia except the child looks like a toddler and is annoying. I like the idea of a youngling surviving and seeking revenge, but that black woman is an even worse actress than Leia's. There's no breathing room either. There's fake tension followed by a shitty action scene followed by a shitty dramatic response. It's all so poorly done.

vader shouldn't have even been in the show because it inherently just creates more problems for the continuity. They should have just had the show be about protecting luke or leia after somebody finds out who they are. Or just had obi wan go on some wacka doo adventure about trying to keep himself alive and undetected so he can be there to protect luke. This newest episode where Obi-Wan is using his knowledge of Anakin's personality to out maneuver him is great. That should be the whole show. Each episode unfolding with Obi and Vader duel/training in the past, and then using that knowledge to peruse/evade each other in the present. They dont ever need to actually meet on screen in the present to accomplish that. Vader doing his best Dr. Claw would be amazing. "Next time Obi-Wan!"

Absolutely. Something like that would have worked great. There really isnt a reason for the Inquisitors to be in the show since its so personal between Vader and Obi-Wan. However, it would be a good opportunity to flex on 3rd Sister...and maybe give her some character arc too...with him teaching her as he shows her up. Maybe he even remembers her from the academy and what her weaknesses were.

I feel like this series is schizophrenic. On the one hand it should be about Obiwan but since he’s just an old man wandering around his character just fades into the background of the female sith or whatever. Both plots could be cool, but they seem to be taking away from one another not complimenting each other. Like there should be a reeva show and an obiwan show. The Obiwan show should be sort of like hercules the legendary journeys but with him going to different planets and saving people from the empire with his Jedi powers, and staying hidden. Maybe he himself can wear a mask to hide his identity or something. Maybe he could spend time with the mandelorians. I don’t know.
The reeva show should be like Xena where she tries to help also.
However…the fundamental flaw with Disney Star Wars is that what made the OT so cool was that Luke was a fish out of water exploring an unknown world of magic and craziness. You can’t recapture that by redoing the same shut over and over again with characters that are walking in place going nowhere. No new mysteries. No fish out of water. It becomes just a repeat of pew pew lightsabers force choke another guy in mask, another planet sized weapon, more cameos and nostalgia wanking, etc
