It means what he says, you want "thing" at an affordable price and at your convenience, you don't care said "thing" is made with exploited underpaid labor. You might say you do but if better pay or better working conditions make the stuff you want more expensive or harder to get you'll b***h about it because you care about "thing" and not who makes it.

I do care about labor conditions, but I'm not the one deciding how money and goods are distributed. There are things that I want, and there are people that make those things, and in between us are at least three entities that feel they are entitled to the value of that thing. So I end up paying 300% what things are actually worth so 10% can make it back to the workers. (figures are broad estimates)

Coffee works like that, the people who makes it gains pennies while most of the money goes to the people who store it and the sellers.

As long as one can still go to mcdonalds and get a burger than no one will really care about the plight of the people cooking it.

Squidward is the type of guy to complain about his job sitting around in an air conditioned room all day.
With his phone made from colbat that came from slave mines in the Dominican Republic dug up by hand and carried for miles on back.

        Probably something comical and silly.
Like those male pufferfish that move sand around as a mating display irl.

Believe it or not, winning a negotiation doesn't involve destroying the opposition. That is considered counterproductive.

I feel like part of the joke is that Squidward is the last person to complain about not being paid enough for his work.

All things considered how are they not getting paid enough? Spongebob and Squidward are both home owners working fast food.
