Arcane should win but we all know The Simpsons will win. Since animation is considered lesser and they'll vote for what they now.

It's actually pretty unlikely anything other than Arcane will win, not because the voters give a frick about it, but because it actually managed to become well known enough in the public consciousness that normies will recognize it by name and remember that people were talking about how good the animation looked and give it their vote by default. Same reason Spider-Verse was actually able to beat out whatever piece of shit Disney dropped that year at the Oscars, because it had enough mainstream recognition that the voters knew they were supposed to vote for it.

I haven't even seen it, I've just been aware of all the buzz around it because normies are lapping that shit up.
There's a lot of buzz about Laika and Studio Ghibli movies, but some Disney/Pixar trash wins every time anyway because its the only one the voting committee actually watched. Rick and Morty or What If is going to win because one is "the edgy show all the younguns like" and the other is "I watched that on Disney+ with my grandkids!".
Ok, then let me put it like- the buzz for Arcane is exclusive to animation twitter and fans of the game. It’s not even close to the level of awareness a theatrical Spider-Man movie had.
This has nothing to do with the quality of any of the shows. It was an admittedly weak year and most people who’ve seen Arcane attest it’s worthy of praise. The emmys always mystify me with their taste nominating the same zombie adult sitcoms for decades, so I tend to ignore what they pick.

As cool as it would be to see arcane to win, I can't help but feel as it goes with animation, it's hard enough for animation itself to be taken serious when it comes to this sort of thing but it would be even harder for a animated show based on a video game.

Tuca & Bertie was fricking robbed. There were at least 3-4 episodes last season I remember truly wowed me. Why the frick are The Simpsons and Bob's Burgers still getting nominated after all these years? And I'm surprised Invincible didn't inch its way in. That show was a big hit and definitely had some impressive stuff to offer that I feel would make it just as worthy for consideration as Arcane.
