Bill Skarsgård and Lily-Rose Depp have been cast as the leads in Robert Eggers’ ‘NOSFERATU’ film.
The film was previously in the works with Anya Taylor-Joy and Harry Styles.

Yeah it is. It's a fictitious account about the making of the F.W. Murnau film.
Basically John Malkovich plays Murnau, and Dafoe plays Schreck, but the twist is that Schreck isn't an actor, and is instead an actual vampyre.
So Malkovich is trying to make a Dracula movie with an actual Dracula killing the actors and set members.
Good movie.

Dafoe would be very interesting...possibly as the cinematographer who films Nosfet. The hard part is finding someone who can play hard under make up (no CGI) without troping it to death.

Well, it all about makeup and body type. I don't think even a younger Johnny Depp could've pulled it off.
I can only think of Doug Jones other than Skarsgaard to play Orlock. It's a very physically impactful role.
Klaus Kinski was a great Orlock and he was 5'8". The actor needs to be skinny to be ghoulish in the double-breasted coat, and lanky to do all the emoting with their arms and hands.
If the pennywise dude is Dracula then it should be interesting.

Judging by the OG Dracula and the Herzog film, she's a very minor character. The novel is more of an ensemble piece, about reluctant allies coming together, and the Herzog movie is about Orlok versus Jonathan Harker.
