The idea of Dora the explorer running away from a SCP entity that can jump though channels is interesting, but if the only appeal people get is because it drags other shows to the story then maybe it wasn't a strong idea enough to merit its own show.
It's the same reason why people bother to remember Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and it is a miracle that movie even exists in the first place.
