>not a single person checked or thought to check if the sword was a decoy for multiple hours
>they never sent scouts up to the fort, even though they knew orcs/humans from before had survived and would probably still be there
I'm not a CinemaSins "everyone needs to be 100% logical all the time" autist, but are the characters brain damaged? Why is this written like a Pixar movie?
>science
galadriel and halbrand didn't know what the 'package' contained so of course they wouldn't have bothered checking. and if arondir had checked when he got it back it would've been too late because nobody knew that waldreg had it or that he was going to the watchtower.
A: They would unwrap whatever he was carrying within literal seconds of nabbing it and the only reason they don't is cause the plot needs them to fail and B: He probably would have just caught Waldreg running up the mountain, dude is an old man and he's an elf
Any reasonable person would check the super important item
They’ve spent almost all of Galadriel’s screen time emphasizing the fact that she’s autistically obsessed with chasing down Sauron, yet she isn’t one bit curious what’s in the wrapping carried by Sauron’s presumed servant?
Plus, Arondir told her that Adar mustn’t be allowed to escape with the mystery item, but she doesn’t give a shit what it is
If they had checked earlier, they would’ve had a decent chance of catching an old man on foot, especially when they have horses, and are also immortal elves with supernatural stamina
even if they found out, they had no idea where the key hole is. arondir not being able to tell a sword and an axe apart is moronic tho
Arondir says something along the lines of "IT IS IMPERATIVE HE DOES NOT LEAVE WITH THE ARTIFACT". And when they catch Adar
> They don't check. Or if they do, they see it's just an axe and think that's it, making them extra idiotic.
> Adar at no point in time shows any signs of this being on his plans. If anything he acts surprised when they activate the device.
>galadriel and halbrand didn't know what the 'package' contained so of course they wouldn't have bothered checking.
>open the package
>it's just a normal axe
>immediately ask Arondir a multitude of questions about why they were trying to retrieve an axe
I feel like this would be standard practice for anybody in their situation.
That makes too much sense
We need to draw out fake tension and have the characters act stupid for the sake of sticking to the script.
No
>"What you got in there?"
>"Doom"
Missed opportunity
When did the swap happen?
when he sees the Numenoreans charging in, he calls Waldreg over. It was extremely predictable
Damn, I must have +15sec'd over that
Kek
And yeah what’s even worse is they show multiple characters holding it, over a long period of time. It would have been way better to have them catch Adar, and then they immediately check it to find out it’s a decoy and then right then the scene with the volcano goes off.
Also was that the first time they’ve shown that’s there’s been a massive volcano right next to them the entire time? I think it was
nah we see mount doom in a few shots before, like when Arondir escapes the slave trenches
>not a single person checked or thought to check if the sword was a decoy for multiple hours
yeah i was just waiting for a "...wait they switched it!" scene, but it didn't happen. they even had a scene where galadriel wipes blood on the "sword", which was weird given context
and then it happened much later
Please understand Galadriel was busy lusting after bargain bin Aragorn (totally not sauron teehee) and Niggolas was busy lusting after the single mom
I don't know what's more moronic, this scene, or my friend who thought Arondir was aware of the swap and just didn't care
It's because rocks look down
What Godzilla movie is this from?
Would've spiced the show up a bit
they are shitting all over the lore anyway, why not make it a kaiju crossover
>Why is this written like a Pixar movie?
Was that supposed to be a criticism?
Yes
Pixar movies are not very well written
Why did the elf even give the sword back to the kid?
Shouldn't he have taken the evil magic sword or destroyed it?
What is that sword anyway and is the boy destined to end up with it?
i was kinda hoping for Rodan to appear
