Something just felt off? Huh, you know anon, I've hear a similar sentiment from a lot of people about this show. Something was off, but what, I wonder???
If you're implying I'm talking about the casting you are mistaken. I liked the show a lot. There were just some parts where things didn't make sense to me.
Yes I liked the show a lot. I don't care if you don't.

This was the best scene of the show. It's when I finally realized the great twist. Galadriel was the bad guy all along! It confirmed what had been a sneaking suspicion since the first episode when she broke into a trolls house and murdered her in cold blood, for the crime of being a troll.
Kind of a shame though, because I didn't even bother watching the last episode.
>all female directing team
Honestly it can't ve worse than those two fricktards who had nothing of value on their resume and needed 7 attempts to even bring a satisfying pitch for their story.
He wanted a Game of Thrones rival. He doesn't care about the Tolkien IP. He handed it off to his production morons who insisted on an agenda and who hired nobodies as showrunners whose only experience was working under JJ at Bad Robot. Given this, how could you expect anything other than a plot that makes a nonsense of chronology and geography, a world that has supposedly-isolated peoples look as racially diverse as New York or London, and whose finest soldiers wear 3D printed plastic armour?
No, he's a money grubbing israelite in charge of an evil mega corporation. You've fallen for his public relations campaign meant to make him look like a harmless goofy little dork and not the evil freak that he is.
Because they gave everything they could to TLOU
NB and Hispanic leads + '''serious''' drama with lots of shouting + mandatory homosexualry propaganda + HBO logo and you are halfway to an Emmy already
House of the dragon only got 1, but it’s equally as shit.
>House of the dragon only got 1,
It's weird how this got shunned by awards.just like TLOU it has Nonbinary schizo lead, house of Black folk, mandatory homosexualry, "serious" drama. Got s8 really killed the goodwill of the franchise to even win awards
maybe it's your theories that minority lead = nominations are schizo, just a thought. Tom Holland was literally fricked by a Black person on screen I see no one is praising him cuz his show sucked
Those all feel well earned and TLOU was still really mediocre. Rings of Power doesnt have as many wild misses but they also dont have any real actors or writers to win awards. The entire industry literally adores LOTR and they did not find it in the budget to cast a single known actor
>did not find it in the budget to cast a single known actor
They were never interested in getting well known actors for the main roles. When leaks come from production and they talk about the cast they constantly bring up 'star potential' and who they think has it (or doesn't).
For the record they actually don't think they have enough star potential in the cast and they consider most of the actors as 'unprofessional and amateur' (bar the biggest faces on the poster) but that's kind of another matter.
They planned this entire show out with the long haul in mind, they didn't want to buy stars they want their main actors to become stars by like S3/S4. Whether that's through the show itself or stuff they do outside of it, doesn't really matter.
It did pretty well at the Guild awards and such last year
Multiple for art direction, VFX, soundtrack. Bears ROP score was the first TV soundtrack to ever win at the IFMCA awards
Emmys just dicksuck one/two HBO shows to death, like pretty much every acting category is Succession/White Lotus/TLOU.
>Blacklas is bigger and above motherfricking Elendil
Poster reflects who the production wants to push as the stars of the show. Morfydd Clark and Ismael Cruz Cordova do much of the high end promo between them. That's who they put on Colbert/Kimmel and who they have doing mag shoots and putting them at the forefront of everything else important.
They have pretty much sidelined Elronds actor and might end up shifting some of his focus to Celeborn (and his actor) from S2 onwards.
the real reason is existing studios hate amazon for butting into their space and will refuse to let them play. This is petty nonsense.
Not that rings of power is good or anything, but it would have won something if the right company was behind it
The more I look at this the worse it gets. When you think of the movies they made some clear choices in casting to separate the fantasy races. Yet in this they casted wide faced men to play elves when their faces would be better suited to play hobbits or dwarves.
Don't even get me started on the agenda pushing garbage.
Nobody watched it. LotR fans rejected it because it's non canon and the forced diversity shit, and normalgays ignored it because barely anyone watches Amazon original shows period, and the elf guys aren't hot.
No cultural impact.
Bad writers
Bad casting
Bad music
Bad costume design
Bad plot
No love put into the project
Just boring
the intro was legit the best of the year and it didnt even win that
AWWWWW LAWWWD DEM RANGZZZ
I hated the intro, even Wheel of Time was much better
How dare you say anything positive about the wheel of time show.
Not coop bro, not cool.
fully agreed
It's really this simple. You're not allowed to criticize people working on TV shows anymore though, for some reason.
the music was generally great and the casting was hit and miss but pretty much this.
just not good, simple as
S2 will be good. They learned mistakes
I hope so. S1 was alright imo but somethings just felt off.
Something just felt off? Huh, you know anon, I've hear a similar sentiment from a lot of people about this show. Something was off, but what, I wonder???
If you're implying I'm talking about the casting you are mistaken. I liked the show a lot. There were just some parts where things didn't make sense to me.

Aside from the visuals i don't know what's there to like a lot
Yes I liked the show a lot. I don't care if you don't.

Anon, you might be an idiot. I'm not trying to be mean, you just seem immensely simple.
Why?
>elves will steal our jobs!!!111
it's incredible how bad it was
Yeah that part was quite stupid
>They learned mistakes
>pajeet Sauron
>all female directing team
They will double down and you know it
>all female directing team
Honestly it can't ve worse than those two fricktards who had nothing of value on their resume and needed 7 attempts to even bring a satisfying pitch for their story.

Isn't Bezos a huge fricking dork bookworm? Why would he let this happen? Is he too rich to care?

I look forward to season 2.
He loves money more than he loves art, and BlackRock is helping.
He's one of the bad guys. He's the equivalent of being one of Sauron's generals.
No, he's a money grubbing israelite in charge of an evil mega corporation. You've fallen for his public relations campaign meant to make him look like a harmless goofy little dork and not the evil freak that he is.

Not enough hour long episodes with homosexuals that have nothing to do with the story, sorry
>Still assblasted one year later
>actually defending rop
Lmao

why did the main female cast screamed "INCEL" at me tho
>pepe with giant pipe.jpg related
LMAO, couldn't they find a better picture for the black woman on the front? She looks like she just crapped her pants right there and got caught.
>Blacklas is bigger and above motherfricking Elendil
Lmao white men are done dirty in this show

Blacklas! What do your Nog eyes see?!
This was so bizarre
Modern political commentary in a LOTR spinoff. What could go wrong.
the real reason is existing studios hate amazon for butting into their space and will refuse to let them play. This is petty nonsense.

This fricking no mark has a bigger more prominent position that Elrond, Elendil or even Feanors fricking grandson. Amazon and their DEI obsession.

i see you, saars. good morning.
>what the frick went wrong with this show?
Black personification
Which show had the best negrelves?
>RoP
>The Witcher
>the best negrelves
no such thing
negrelves are always the worst
Shieeeeeet
WoT hurts me far more than lotr. At least we have the movies with lotr, but god knows if we will ever get a decent wot adaptation
Nobody watched it. LotR fans rejected it because it's non canon and the forced diversity shit, and normalgays ignored it because barely anyone watches Amazon original shows period, and the elf guys aren't hot.
No emmy for Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes?
Was nominated for ep1, probably would have won if they submitted an ep featuring Eärien's milker outfits
Some of the costumes were so good the actors wore them in every scene they were in. Like Celebrimbor and his green dress.
Where did the billion go? Obviously not in the costume design or the rights to the Silmarillion.
>what the frick went wrong with this show?
better question is what went right with this show?
nothing
S2 leaks
Get hype Tolkienbros
>Tom and Goldberry are Morgoth and Ungoliant
please no
what went wrong with the emmys?
Adar was the best thing about the show. Too bad uncle benji got recast
