This movie really made me think about all those videos of Israelis talking about how hard their life is and IDF dancing like children while Gazan children are bombed
The ending scene was great, and the kid hearing the camp outside his window and reenacting the lines to himself
More history movies need to have shorter runtimes and not be bloated 3 hour long messes. Half the runtime and I feel like I know more about Hoss than I do Oppenheimer

So happy my brain isn't rotten by /misc/ yet and I can enjoy this kino, ending was the most interesting thing that's been done in filmmaking in a very long time
Seriously? You are just watching it in the background while playing on Cinemaphile? You are supposed to shut off everything and be trapped with what is on screen. It is supposed to be an EXPERIENCE.
Lol
I'm done now.
It was thankfully a short film. Might be better to see this in theaters as it relied so heavily on the soundtrack.
This wasn't anything special to write about.
Things happen to victims, people without power. Living on the wrong side of history always feels peachy, until one day the unexpected explodes out of nowhere: "how did this happen? We weren't being told the whole truth?"
what was up with the nazi party? how come one of the people hoss was talking to looked transgender? it clearly wasnt a woman. Or was she? just a mannish looking one?
I thought it was great. Going to thermal cam whenever the Polish girl steps outside was awesome, I wish there had been more weird visual stuff like that since he clearly has a knack for it.
And no, it's a very simple movie with a very simple premise and concept. It's just about Hoss and is family literally living next door to Auschwitz and showing how they react and are affected by living right next to the genocide. They eat breakfast, do paperwork, have guests and throw parties as they see furnace smoke and hear screams and gunshots. It's basically Holocaust the audiobook., and it works.
As the Israelis continue their campaign of genocide against the Palestinians expect more Holocaust propaganda to shame anyone thinking of protesting. While they show you events from 100 years ago Israel is butchering Palestinian civilians.
It's a sick irony. Whites are being shamed for their history while israelites commit the very crimes they accuse whites of.
kino happened
I think a few dudes got killed off-screen
Mainly because allied bombing campaign btw
Easily the most interesting movie i've watched for a few years.
This movie really made me think about all those videos of Israelis talking about how hard their life is and IDF dancing like children while Gazan children are bombed
Glazer is pro-Palestine thoughbeit
the banality of evil has itself become a banal concept, Glazer really needed an approach other than knockoff Haneke for it to be effective
I liked it but does it really deserve 92 on metacritic
reddit: the movie
Glazer is always kino but he really needs to up his output to more than once a decade
>Glazer is always kino but he really needs to up his output to more than once a decade
mike rowe is right
a hard days work is it's own reward!

Oh shit is that what he was doing
That he likes to run death camps and clean his dick at the sink? Woah, character growth!

I don't like israelites but I also hate poltards, will I like this film?
This is probably the easiest holocaust movie to watch even if you don't like israelites because they barely have a part in it, so I'd give it a try
I was going to torrent this
I like Martin Amis
is it good?
why are the many genocides the Russians did never mentioned
nothing happens: the movie
France is hell
>anatomy of a fall
>nothing happens
lolwat? It's constant happening from start to finish. Probably the most entertaining movie i saw in years
Both movies carried by Sandra Hüller
Also that was her real dog
I saw that. Keeps you on the edge, but who dunnit?
I'm 47 minutes in and so far it has been shit.
Constant moronic cacophony from the camp is annoying as well.

Nothing happens: the movie
I hate this movie. But even this shit is better than Zone of Interest
>Villain is evil because he...wants that promotion at work
Yeah right
If they hated the israelites so much why did the mom want their clothes and make up?
>you only steal from people you don't hate
brilliant
They thought israelites were vermin, why would wear clothes worn by rats?
she really wanted those curtains
Non-Nazis and citizens saw them as rich people who owned nice things
this. She should only steal from people she likes

Just like real life!
The postcredit masturbation machine tease was done well
Yeah no
Auschwitz slice of life is comfy!
it kinda is
Life happened
i live like 65km from the camp. I was there once on a school trip. Still think about it
I groaned a bit when hearing there's yet another Auswitz movie, but it was honestly kino.
what was up with the nazi party? how come one of the people hoss was talking to looked transgender? it clearly wasnt a woman. Or was she? just a mannish looking one?
I though Oscar noms needed a diversity quota. Not this comfy Whitey Paradisa.
wtf is this real pradeep?
pajeet
sorry i dont watch zionist propaganda movies posing as ww2 movies anymore

Should win best picture. If you don’t get it, you’re just not smart enough.
it's nolan's year but yeah, great movie, hope it wins for best cinematography and gets played in high schools throughout the country
I too, am a happening denier.
The effect wears off pretty quickly. Would've worked better as a short.
>Would've worked better as a short

Do you disagree? Why?

>i'm le heckin intellectual because i call everything propaganda
have a nice day homosexual
>post-occupation resistance movement
?
>when even places like Ethiopia and Albania managed to have one
Why would they NOT have a resistance movement? Even the French had one.
Why was he retching in the end?
They had him for his foams
He saw into the future that he would be reincarnated as a cleaning lady and he found it too insulting to bear.
he imagined the smell at home
