Jensen was rumored a while back. He's also been a favorite of Marvel casting, coming close to landing Cap, Hawkeye and Star Lord. It's said his long Supernatural shooting schedule was the one thing that hurt his chances.

As much as I love Rider, I think it's too late to introduce him. He's supposed to be best buds with Quill, and honestly they should've had him instead of Captain Marvel. He could've done everything she has done only he's actually interesting.
He was in the script for the first movie, but Gunn cut him out.
But, yeah, if they do him now, I think it'd be something like how Spider-Man drops to his knees every time Stark is around him.
And he would've fit in perfectly.

Basically just steal some parts from Annihilation, the best crossover event that marvel ever did.
Your don't have to do an Nova origin movie, because you intruduced the corps already, the powers are explained in the first act, the mission is clear.
And it would even keep the tone from the end of Infinity War, with all the death and destruction and it wouldn't introduce some moronic super strong character that no one ever heard of before.
This is exactly what I thought up myself. It would've worked so well but they wasted it on a shit character.
The Nova Corps in the GotG movie didn't have any powers though, they were just space cops in space cop ships.

No, it's true. But the directors felt there was already too much going on to introduce a whole new character. Same reason Captain Marvel didn't debut in Infinity War like she was supposed to.
I think we all know Marvel is gonna Gender Bend the character. They will make Nova a girl and probably a lesbian.
