There can only be one space cop.

    >Bu-bu-but superhero fatigue isn't real!

This has nothing to do with superhero fatigue and everything to do with Disney's recent string of flops forcing them into cost-cutting.

"Superhero Fatigue" is a cope pushed by studio shills, in order to damage control for how badly studios are doing because the ramifications of spending excessive money on poor projects/decisions has now come back to bite them

This has nothing to do with superhero fatigue and everything to do with Disney's recent string of flops forcing them into cost-cutting.

Not just the flops but also decisions like buying Fox and stuck with a pending bill for Hulu

It's okay, I know they wouldn't let him be the white trash trailer park boy dick rider, he would have to he the Latinx/American family appropriate Sam Alexander.
    I'm not crying you are!

    >Dick Rider
There is no way whoever made up this name wasn't aware of what they were doing

Richard Rider is a alliteration, which is very common in comics. Reed Richards, Susan Storm, Victor VonDoom, Peter Parker, Scott Summers, Bruce Banner, Steven Strange, Bucky Barnes, Otto Octavius, etc.

It makes the names easier to remember.

Nova doesn't have enough casual awareness to carry a whole project, movie tv or otherwise.

Nova is a generic space cop, it's a premise with extreme since Green Lantern got fricked up and every other space cop franchise like Lensman is retired.

He can be THE Space Cop of this decade, maybe the space cop of an entire generation.

I take Nova over Green Lantern any day. The green power ring that needs to be charged in a lantern is a dated concept.

The Nova Corps have ChatGPT in their helmets.

          >The green power ring that needs to be charged in a lantern is a dated concept.
It rarely plays into the comics tho. You're more likely to get beaten into submission or killed than run out of juice.

The whole thing is stupid. It's supposed to be technology but it's basically a magic ring that allows you to create oversized fists and stuff.

Nova Soldiers at the very least seem futuristic with military ranks (corpsman, millennian, denarian, and centurion) and technological armor and weapons.

And that's the reason why I think the GLC is much more interesting. Military forces in space with their space tech and weapons has been done more times than you can count. But when was the last time you saw one with a strong focus on the color green that accepts members based on their courage no matter how abstract and weird they are? And I'm saying this as someone who really likes Nova more than the popular Marvel space stuff.

The casual has at least heard of Green Lantern, but not Nova.

Because Marvel has more than 5 relevant characters in their roster that they're promoting?

People forget that Marvel is an actual Universe while DC is technically just an Earth. In fact it's literally in the names the 616-Universe and Earth-1.

At this rate Tech Jacket will be the space cop of this decade if they get their own Invincible-like series.

This, I'd rather all these fricking projects get scrapped then see these characters be shitty quip machines

I'm only upset because this means synergy wont give him a new ongoing. Besides that I couldn't give less of a shit about a MCU bastardization.

I'm fricking done with the standard capeshit set in New York, I want space shit NOW.

I wouldn't want a Nova project with this current MCU. six years ago, it might have been nice. It would be utter shit now.

Nova Corps is basically a space military run by an AI. Could end pretty badly if it got hacked.

Nice, I don't want an MCUification of Rich, maybe he would have gotten an ongoing out of it but it's not worth it.

Shame. Nova's source material is dense with lore. Would've been very easy to turn it into an interesting story.
