>What is the deal with non-binary robots?
How did they get away with this?
Super-collider I just met her: and then they build the Super Collider.
>Sci fi comedy
>But it's not funny, ever
Futurama was always shit. I laughed more watching Okabe from SG and that wasn't even a comedy story.
I didn't, that anime is boring as shit.
It was fun if you have a soul. And the later parts have some genuinely gripping drama.
Which is also something Futurama would never be able to do.
>genuinely gripping drama
lmao, anime cannot be kino.
post katana
>watching
Plebs.
Cinemaphile gays are too pleb to ever read a vn.
Manga for gen-z/gen-a adhd tards
>VN
>not watching
>pseudo-intellectual midwit bullshit
miss me with that shit
futurama has good jokes, but ur not gonna laugh as hard at it as you would something like south park. its an entertaining scifi show with good all around humor and focuses more on the science than on jokes but they let the humor come naturally.
steins gate, however, has typical anime japanese humor, which is basically one step removed from cringe humor and is shitty as frick.
You think Futurama is funny, maybe your sense of humor is just out of whack
Not a fair comparison since s;g is better than almost any non-live action series.
That was a shit anime, have a nice day.
>has snobby attitude & shit opinion
>anime picture posted
as sure as the sun rising every morning
If you haven't watched it then don't knock it.
Is the reboot worth watching?
There is an entire episode dedicated to calling anti vaxxers moronic while the sub plot is hermes wife continuously cucks him with barbados slim in front of his face while he laughs about it
i am not making this up go check it out yourself
Doesn't sound promising. Please tell me they at least kept the humor.
nta but they didnt. it feels way too forced and super dry. its really not worth it and thats coming from a long time futurama fan. but then again, its 20min episodes so you can fly by it pretty quick, depends on how much you can stomach it
Comedy shows have always been political. That is just a thing that people need to deal with.
shill
I'm not wrong.
Yes but modern political humor is objectively of lower quality/effort than it was in the past, the most blatant example is old Colbert vs new Colbert
I just finished the first episode, I laughed a handful of times. Give it a shot.
you tell me
forgot pic
Tell me it's at least not as complete dogshit as the last few Seasons and I might put it on.
Any good Brannigan or Robot Mafia eps?
Reminder he was good pals with Jeff Epstein and flew to pedo island.
>Ed,Edd N Eddy and KoTH are now the only two cartoons to have ended at a good time and not too soon or late
The Comedy Central seasons weren’t that great but the finale was well done. Now that’s in the garbage lol
Xaolin Showdown had a spectacular finale.
I am a giant Futurama fan who was eager for this, but for some reason I didn't even finish the latest season. All the episodes I saw just felt sub-par and uninspired. Where's that crazy creativity?
Is there anything specific that's wrong with it? Or does it just feel off
I only saw like 4-5 episodes... they weren't awful or anything, they were all just like... the weakest/least inspired episode of one of the previous seasons. Like, not BAD, just... kinda boring? I figured they would be coming out of the gate strong with some inspired scifi shit after all these years, but... one is about Kif having kids, one is like a western parody.... where's Bender being God and that stuff?
They went full steam ahead on the commentary-on-current-events thing which is the telltale sign that a comedy cartoon is out of ideas (Simpsons/Family Guy/South Park) and it makes far less sense with the whole future setting. That said it was decent and 75% the Futurama you know. Still fulfills its purpose as a light night right before bed cartoon just fine
Yeah, I wanted... what I can't even think of. Crazily creative scifi plots. It doesn't even need to be original. Fricking... do a Groundhog Day ripoff or something instead of a fricking Santa episode
I get it, some grounded episodes, is Futurama's shtick, but I expected at least a few creative ones
>They went full steam ahead on the commentary-on-current-events thing
This started several seasons back at least.
Cant remember exactly when but pretty much dropped it as it happened.
bit of a shame, like an idiot I was kind of hoping for better.
It's soulless content that exists for no reason other then to promote Disney's streaming service.
It should never have come back
the original run was good and it ended on a really good note
saw those two movies and then like one episode of the first continuation. really didn't like any of them
There are actually lots of great episodes in the first continuation. Honestly some of the absolute greatest. There's just more uninspired episodes in between
Not really. The original run had a lot of mid episodes but the best ones are way better then overrated stuff like the time travel one
"The greats" of Comedy Central like Murder On Planet, Express Late Philip J. Fry, Game of Tones are still subpart, and basically even the worst episode of Fox run is 10 better than them.
>Murder On The Planet Express
You know, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this one actually reaches the quality of the original run. Probably the only revival episode I'd ever want to watch again. The other two you listed I kinda hate, they are just aping on the success of previous episodes and feel like soulless retreads of them.
It's still funny, maybe a bit less so than the original. Still good enough for me.
i haven't watched a single episode of new Futurama or Rick and Morty Season 7.
I have very diehard chud sensibilities so I physically can't stomach disingenuous shit.
>disingenuous shit
That's more than half of all modern comedy. Even the random anime
posted is disingenuous humor.
Ratio of shit to decent was better than the first reboot, but that's not really saying much. The episodes were forgettable and they tried to replicate heartfelt moments that felt forced.
Its come back fifty times and each one is worse than the last. First three seasons were funny everything else is 98% shit.
>Its come back fifty times and each one is worse than the last.
This. They killed the best thing they did until became as soulless as The Simpsons.
Comparing this with the soullessness of modern Simpsons is too harsh.
Maybe, but it's getting there.
Agreed, they never should have rebooted it, let alone twice. The original finale was very kino.
Idk what's up with Cinemaphile but Futurama was never really that funny or good, so pretending the new season is worse than anything that came before is just silly.
Bender trooning out to win the Robo Olympics was a good time. I just want to see more of that.
its always been better than simpsons ever was.
no futurama has never been totally laugh out loud funny but was comfy and slight "heh" level of comedy
how many times has futurama been "back" at this point?
the first revival was so bad i gave up
I don't think I've enjoyed anything beyond the first 4 seasons. Some people liked Fry's mum/dad very special episodes but they are just soulless retreads of Seymour/Yancy. Recently found out that virtually none of the original writers returned for the films and beyond, and it fricking shows.
There was one gem episode in the first revival where they switched bodies with each other and that turned out to be one of the best episodes of the entire series, but yeah most of it is shit.
I didn't care much for the episode, but yes that one did actually feel like a Futurama story. I wouldn't be surprised if the concept had been floated during the original run and someone found some rough notes for it, and they built an episode around it.
It's a nice little spark of creativity amongst an imaginative black hole.
Zoidberg wrecking the kitchen reminded me of going over board on the old Ketamine in a frens place once.
awful
OG futurama was written by 130 iq israeli comedians
new futurama is written by 85 iq Black person nobodies, and it shows
I don't think anybody realizes that "it's back"
It happened so many times that millenials and zoomers have a radar for regurgitated goyslop
The very second that first revival debut with an
>dude, iPHONES, lmao!
I knew they had tainted the show. That is the most awful low hanging non-joke reference premise ever. I never get any of the subsequent reboots, any mind I don't even know how many times they've done it now this is the fourth isn't it?
It's dead like Curb. Larry David is going through his humiliation ritual and has to include politics into every episode.
Didn't even bother to watch the wokeboot, don't know anyone who did
mediocre. the episode where it keeps cutting away to toy shit is the worst one in the entire series.
decent episodes, expect for the one where they were al rubber ducks or whatever the frick that was
