Had some of the worst movies I had the shame to bring dates to the cinema to. A total trainwreck. Made David S. Goyer a name I'll avoid for the rest of my life (unless he has a cowriter).

I enjoyed it a lot. I wish I could brainwash other people into enjoying it.

It was pretty terrible until Aquaman, then it got pretty good. Its a shame that it took 5 movies before it got fun, because then it might have had a chance at lasting longer.

Casting Ben Affleck in a pivotal role like Batman was the sign they were clueless.
Most of the other Batmen had one or two good leading roles under their belt before they played Bats. (e.g., Keaton and Beetlejuice)

What'd Ben have? Playing second fiddle to Bruce Willis in Armageddon? One of the all-time worst superhero movies with Daredevil '03?

Ben Affleck as Batman was surprisingly good casting all things considered, its just that the material they gave him to work with was bad.

No shit, they gave both the main producer and main director jobs to Zack Snyder, the guy who made Sucker Punch and whose Magnun Opus and only work not trashed by the critics was a mediocre zombie horror movie.

I stopped watching after Suicide Squad and I've never regretted it.

Same. I was so hyped for this shit too. Man of Steel sucked, but BvS and SS looked like they could bring things back on track. NOPE!

Man of Steel was disappointing and then BVS killed my interest in both Batman and Superman. Suicide Squad trailers dropped, thought it was going to be a fix to the sadistic tone of the MOS and BVS, nope. Wonder Woman, I almost skipped until I saw the reviews and it had good WOM. First DCEU film I liked.

it had a handful of good/decent films, but the universe overall was a complete clusterfrick.

    1) Aquaman
    2) Shazam
    3) THE Suicide Squad
    4) Wonder Woman
    5) the rest
    Over all I’d give it a C+
Really squandered the leg up it had on mcu just from name recognition of its characters

It was total dogshit. The first two films kneecapped the universe.

The first Wonder Woman and the first Aquaman Movies are the only thing I enjoyed about the DCEU

look at how it aged Momoa

he used to be so proud of his looks, but they wedged him into that shitty costume one last time and he looked so tired of it all

imaging going into filming that movie with literally everything working against it, knowing even when it was finished you'd have to promote the thing

    poor rich guy
