      Everything.
      >peach doesn't have a fart joke
      >peach only gets beaten up once and doesn't have slapstick moments like the cheep fish scene that was shortened
      >movie cuts out certain scenes that would pace it better
      >poor luigi is treated good at the beginning and then is just there for the rest of it
      >foreman spike and pauline only there for fanservice

People glossing over how lazy Donkey Kong’s voice is. Stop giving a one voice performance a praise.

        >Seth Rogan
        >"I don't do impressions"
This is what pissed me off the most. Pratt was honestly fine for what he was given, but I seriously hope they go with someone else for DK if he ever gets a movie.

He was a 4/10 Mario, but it was true that Seth Rogan was a 0/10 Donkey Kong.

Peach's face. It looks so bad in motion it's like they're trying to make expressions by beating them into the side of a raw turkey.

God, the animation in this movie is sooooo mediocre. And you gays keep moaning over Genndy Tartakovsky an his Hotel Transylvania movies animation.

It's really JUST peach's face but god damn is it bad. The top half of her face is almost completely static. There's no face muscles there whatsoever.

Anon’s comparing it to other 2020s animation, not some 90s low poly game visual. If you have to go to N64 graphics to have a comeback, that’s pretty sad.

Peach's faces and body language in the movie are to make her look tough and fierce, like she has the eye of the tiger.
They tried to make Peach act hardcore and manly for some reason, even though she's fricking Princess Peach, she should be all about being soft, graceful, and sweet. The tryhard girlboss interpretation of her was way over the top and OOC.

Luigi could've easily been part of the main group. Just have them land in the mushroom kingdom, ask Peach how to get home, she tells them about Bowser, and he wants to help to try and prove himself while Luigi reluctant tags along.

Would've made the ending feel more justified and doubles as reference to SMB2 with the four of them together.

The movie is typical of Illumination, uninspired slop. It may have made money initially but it ain't really gonna be on anyone minds in a year or two, if that.

He was a miscast. There was no way he ever could have captured the energy of the Mario character, and his bland and generic performance lead to a very low energy interpretation of Mario. The writing wasn't good, but the voice was all wrong as well.

The story should have stayed more true to the original original (it's obvious why they changed so many things around, and it had nothing to do with telling a better story) and they should have went with a more cartoony, Popeye-styled atmosphere.
