No one cared about it beyond lesbian Velma.
Other than that, good fricking lord Velma needs to be recasted. I cannot fricking stand her voice. She sounds like Sadie from Steven Universe.
No, having the same art style doesn't mean they're in the same continuity, it just means WB is cheap/lazy and didn't want to spend time coming up with new character designs
If that's the case, how come they went the extra mile to have a separate style for the movies during the 2010s than any of the concurrent series (Mystery Inc/Be Cool)?
I've heard Be Cool was the more comedic one. Does it not take itself as seriously as previous adaptations?
It tries to be "self-aware". There's a gay who insists it has the best characterization for Daphne as "constantly trying to reinvent herself every episode so she isn't known as Danger-Prone", but it always came off as randumb. Artstyle's garbage too.
Not baiting. Scooby doo is a horrible series in every regard. It's unfunny and repetitive and only clings on because networks used to drill it into young people's heads clockwork orange style.
Anon probably is baiting, but let's be real. Scooby Doo has never been above being mocked. The entire reason that shit like Zombie Island and Mystery Inc was a shock to everyone's system is because Scooby Doo is typically the most formulaic show in existence. I still like it for some fricking reason though.
I loved it because in my country it has some of the classic dub cast
I didn’t like the original voices in English tbh( I changed to hear the guests voices) Wanda S was prob my favorite
>Was it really that bad?
Yes. Just awful. Especially on the heels of the franchise recovering from Mystery Incorporated wrecking everything. Be Cool Scooby-Doo was a near masterpiece.

agreed.
Pretty sure her current VA's a pajeet, so she gets diversity job security.
Lesbian Velma was in the Trick or Treat movie, not the Guess Who series
Aren't they in the same continuity due to using the same artstyle, like with the What's New era?
No

>Artstyle's garbage too.
That was the first red flag for me. Looked more akin to those Nu-Animated Sitcoms.

Finally, I'm not the only one who wishes Scooby Doo could get put down.

The best thing about OG Scooby Doo is all the extremely weird in-between frames, but that's about it.
Remember when people didn't unironically hold opinions that would've been called "bait" 10 years ago?
Of course you don't.
Now that the dust has settled, this thread is proven dogshit.
Still haven't finished it. I wish the guys were as sexualized as much as the girls are in this series.
Was Be Cool close?
>Was it really that bad?
do we really need yet another revival of 60's scooby doo? I'm glad Velma exists and wants to be different
Too bad "Velma" was less Velma, and more of a Mindy Kaling self-insert.
>no I don't want human input
just say you're an AI homosexual.
Except Mindy can't write? Velma was clearly written by people who only worked on live-action shit.
>I'm glad Velma exists and wants to be different
now THIS is unapologetic bait. Look closely,
.
I dunno, there's (sadly) people who unironically like Velma.
>Now that the dust has settled, Was it really that bad?
Yes
>What's next?
If you're over 18, the Velma show. If you're under 18, tough luck
It was fine but it being locked to boomerang hurt it, it should’ve been on Cartoon Network proper
Daphne > Velma

Maybe an adaptation with Ed Benedict-inspired designs wouldn't kill them, just a thought.
I hate this even more than the original screencap.
Scooby Doo itself is dust, what are you talking about?
