Its foolish to think that how people act under these specific conditions is a truer representation of who they are than how they act in some other context. It's really easy to not viscerally realize that you're talking to another human being when you're both anonymous and reading each other's text on a screen. I'm way less moody and reactive because I removed my emotions from my thoughts and addressed a few cognitive distortions, mainly catastrophic thinking and mind reading.
