Thread hidden? Make it so.
Who are you quoting?
Janeway
Oh hell yeah, especially if it's year of hell sweaty sexy Janeway
>Janeway
>sexy
Pick one
Ah, the people no likes from /trek/ have shown up.
no, that's the two LD schizos
janeway fans are acceptable even if they're flawed
No. NO! They're exactly the same as the homosexuals who pretend to like the enterprise theme song. They need to be purged.
It’s actually this. Picard was too impersonal. Sisko was too tortured. Janeway struck a balance between Pucard’s high ideals and Sisko’s pragmatic ruthlessness. Real Tteklers know.
Who needs pragmatic ruthlessness when you can have impulsive ruthlessness?
Snore Trek. Yay
I tried watching DS9, I really did. Multiple times in fact. It's the only Trek I could never get through and its solely due to how Brooks plays Cisko. Cannot stand him.
Imagine being filtered by Avery Brooks
Don't blame you. His acting is particularly awful and autistic. Not sure how they let that Black person on TV. There were great characters on that show though.
He's a very passionate, doesn't take shit and frequently voices his thoughts/opinions regardless if they're politically correct or anyone wants to hear them at all.
But he gets results and you can't argue with results.
He only appeals to people with a learning disability.
I didn't say I like the Black person, I was just describing a few of his attributes.
MAKE IT SO
This moron is taking up 3 times more vertical space than necessary.
I'm not an avid Trek fan but I'm tempted to watch DS9 just because of Sisko. He's quite the character
Avery Brooks is theatrical.
He speaks like the undercover cop who is Black Dynamite's younger brother that got shot early in the movie.
Sisko got dealt a very shitty hand and had to do whatever it took to make it work. He's definitely a war time captain.
Picard is the thinking man's captain who's had it a bit easy and sheltered.
>learning disability formatting
Take an English 101 class and/or Marketing 101 class, no one wants to or even reads big unbroken walls of text.
But when you split it up into a few sentence long chunks, people read it.
YOLO
>i have trouble reading so everyone else does too!!!!
If someone can't read a normal paragraph, then they aren't worth talking to. Sorry you get excluded.
Except Sisko wrings his hands and whines about all the horrible things he has to do as a wartime commander instead of just doing them. Compare his performance in "In the Pale Moonlight" with Gregory Peck's in "12 O'Clock High". It was only when Peck finally broke under the strain that we showed any real issue with him doing those things he has to do to win versus Sisko overemoting every other scene.
Oh yeah, he's definitely over dramatic and whiny (especially when he doesn't get way) but he's a thug captain when he needs to be.
What would be Picard's honest thoughts about Kira Nerys and what she did given her circumstances? She killed thousands of Cardassian civilians & civil servants. Her terror cel was basically Hamas.
I watched star trek picard and there was a literal, actual, physical homie called SNEED on it
As soon as I heard his name, I immediately cheered because I knew we'd snuck someone into the writer's room.
I know it's not related, but every once in awhile I'm reminded of Q's exchange with Picard where he takes the form of a uniformed soldier and Picard becomes offended. He goes on about how humanity doesn't need uniforms or violence anymore when the fricker is literally wearing a uniform and uses violence. It always makes me laugh because it's written like Picard is some enlightened guy but he really just comes across like an butthole talking shit.
Picard is pretentious and a hypocrite.
Sisko is a real ass homie.
>Ro wasn't a terrorist
Nice try Jean-Luc
Sisco didn't let Eddington be a terrorist, in fact he went out of his way to frick with his terrorist acts
The problem is that Eddington betrayed his uniform and went full time terrorist
this. sisko's problem wasn't with the maquis, it was with close comrades like hudson and eddington 'betraying' him.
Except when there was a pussy attached, Sisko was forgiving.
i never liked sisko as a character, don't know why but i can't bear him
Man if they were smart they would get all the actors to sign over their likenesses, and when CGI+AI filmmaking gets to the point where it’s believable they should introduce the “next” generation of Star Trek and call it Star Trek: Mirrored, and they could literally redo every show but it takes place in the mirror universe.
Watching The Omega Glory now realizing that Star Trek Insurrection just copied off of it.
