>S4 will be pozzed
Apart from Eli teaching Gideon, absolutely nothing was definitively set up for next season, but we know it's happening so they'll have a chance to redeem themselves (or be pozzed).
A few arcs that just went nowhere, or were wrapped up with not much payout. The season did have some great stuff, BJ's story, and i think Steve Zahn was solid. Last season had a tighter story. I was hoping the locust was going to be a sort of end of days, and would be leading into the next season. Baby billy is still the best character.
The locusts were a lame deus ex machina. The show's "comedy" is being used to excuse really bad dramatic storytelling instead of being genuinely funny for it's own sake unless it's about a side character. The side characters were still funny this season but they completely botched the main characters, especially Eli. Everything built up about Eli's character and past was completely thrown out for the sake of the Montgomery's storyline.
Yeah, but part of what kept their "gay" scenes from being max cringe is the comedy of both of them not realizing they're gay for each other, or being in denial. Now if they're just total gays that's pretty gay and cringe.
It's not mocking christianity it's mocking american style megachurches. I know christians who like the show because the mega churches are basically a cynical mockery of religion where they preach about money instead of god and the preachers use the tithings to buy yachts and shit
Guess that settles it
S4 will be pozzed
Just like the others

UNCLE BABY BILLY
THERE WILL COME A PAYDAY
HALLELUJAH COME A PAYDAY
>Uncle Baby Billy fricked Dusty Daniels and Gene Hackman at a Y2K party
Why didn't they just make all of S3 about Bible Bonkers?
>jews shitting on christianity
How tiresome.
McBride was raised Baptist. Their whole crew was raised in the south.
>hasn't watched the show
It's actually surprising that this show doesn't shit on Christianity.
wish they would move on to a new show - this is their worst
>entire season was a waste of time between Bible Bonkers / Simkins episodes

Correct. Also, making Kelvin gay just deletes his characterization in the first two seasons.
The last few scenes felt like hedging their bets in case they were canceled. The Kelvin/Keef scenes especially were closure.
Kelvin being obviously closeted has run it's course as a joke.
It will be an interesting plot device how him being openly gay causes problems for the family.

>All the goooooooollllld in Callllllifoooornia...
Loved seeing Sturgill this season
I feel like the first season is the only one that had a plan. Two and three have their moments, but don't feel nearly as cohesive.
I felt like this season was much worse than previous ones. Or maybe I don't remember much and they were all like this, flat and dull.
The writing was still good. There was just something about the way they shot the scenes that wasn't nearly as funny. All the jokes got lost.
Am I the only one here who’d frick the shit out of Judy?
They made her look harsh a lot this season. I don't like it.
that's not even a question, of course, my nose would be up her butthole
GODS FAVORITE GAME
>Christianity le bad
Tired of this shit and I'm and atheist who frequently antagonizes Christians on Cinemaphile.
I was expecting it to be like this but it really isn't. In fact, it barely has anything to do with the church or the fact they're preachers
Insane Evangelical creeps who prey on elderly and foolish people aren’t standard Christians and deserve to be mocked.
It's not mocking christianity it's mocking american style megachurches. I know christians who like the show because the mega churches are basically a cynical mockery of religion where they preach about money instead of god and the preachers use the tithings to buy yachts and shit
Hillsong Church is one of the most successful megachurches ever and it's Australian. Frick off.
Without Oral Roberts you don't have any of these prosperity and hypercharismatic preachers.
Fair enough, but nobody forced the Australians to take the ball and run with it in a huge way.
I got my fill of McBride and Goggins in Vice Principals. I shall not watch this show.
S1-S2 is better than VP. S3 is worse.
Maybe I'll give the first three episodes of S1 a shot, see if I take to it.
Young Jesse is really great at being Danny McBride
