Now that True Detective Night Country is a pretty big success, do you think it's more likely that they will pass on the title and role of Jigsaw to Cecilia or another woman? Could it actually work? I like Cecilia, but Tobin really carries a lot of weight in the movies.

As with so many things, I really think it would come down to the execution. It's just a matter of whether or not you could trust them to execute well if they were trying to do something like that in the first place.
Chicks being protagonists doesn't bother me. They're stupid, but in their own unique way and I find that entertaining.
She would be more like the antagonist. Jigsaw was the protagonist in X so it almost seems like they need a new one. The franchise is at an interesting crossroads.

This seems like an overreaction. There's no inherent reason to think that a woman continuing Jigsaw's work couldn't wind up being a good movie. We've already had Amanda and the series has a pretty good history of showing that it can try new things and go in different directions.
