yah I never got the hate either of these got on /m/. X is just fun with cool designs. IBO is one of my favorites cause I love the AU. I'm glad its still getting content. Honestly I wish X would get more content. Gib HG Bertigo and HG Nouvelle gundam!
X gets hate because one anon spams the shit out of it a lot. It’s pretty commonly regarding as being good, if not great but the constant shit stirring has annoyed people. No one but SEAmonkies and teenagers like IBO
IBO gets hate for squandering the potential of a cool low tech AU and not really having a compelling final half.
I don't think i've ever seen anyone actually hate on X. It's one of the most inoffensive gundam series out there, almost to a fault. It's so 7/10 that it risks being bland a lot of the time.
That show would have been saved better if at some point, the producers found an excuse for the Monstruous Mobile Armors to come back. Like weapons of War in the new conflict between Tekkadan and the Gjallarhorn. I mean, I get that the idea was to make Tekkedan lose at the end. But rather than throwing us some political Drama I would have loved to see an old, powerful enemy returning back as a consequence of someone trying to use their power to crush Gjallarhorn.
that was never going to happen because they wouldn't make mobile armors into kits. The one we got (hashmal) was on the small scale and even that was shrunk in model form. They'd never be able to do the one from the games.
X is perfectly fine, even if they rushed and abridged the story in the last cour because of cancellation. IBO on the other hand is hot garbage served by a director incompetent at mecha and a writer who's just a female troll with issues.
How would Japan react to them removing the orga meme pose from the theatrical version of IBO? Would they just meme whatever they replace it with? Would they people who work on the series do a better job of defining the "protagonists" tekkadan as true evil beings brought from hell as the producer intended before Okada pushed back against it and tried to make them symbathetic/pathetic? There are all questions that need to be answered.
>IBO >Has an interracial BMWW couple >homosexual homosexuals Yamagi and Norba >israelite Kordelia Bernstein
Nah, it was wokeshit too. I’ll apologize to X though, I don’t remember it being particularly pozzed.
IBO only gets flak because it had the balls to actually kill off its main cast. Back when the S1 finale aired everyone was b***hing about Lafter and Azee's fakeout deaths and saying the show had no stakes and only killed off the fat ugly characters, then the show called their bluff and killed off nearly the entire main cast and left only the supporting cast alive and everyone lost their shit. There's nothing wrong with the ending tbh, they were simply revolutionaries who lost. We just got to see the other perspective of a typical gundam story, but the story is still a gundam plot played straight. The institutional forces are challenged by revolutionaries who want to overthrow the current order and they win. That's most gundams.
I give IBO flak for having a snoozefest of a middle for S1. Specifically after they get Gusion up until they land on Earth. And S2, everything on Earth with the two fricks and the one's little sister, the season is just boring as hell right up until Tekkadan proper shows up and the Fully City gets a proper fight. I enjoy the show for the most part after that. All in all, probably 15-20 boring episodes in a 50 episode show.
Imagine if IBO was 24 eps long. And I don't mean it ending at the point where season 1 ended. I mean that all 50 eps are crammed into 24. That would have been an even bigger disaster. And that's exactly what Witch did.
Nope. They'd've properly edited their scripts to reflect the number of episodes they were given. And IBO has no space magic so theres no potential to frick it up.
I am just guessing here, but I have a really strong feeling that the G-witch staff didn't know if they were getting 50 or 24 eps, right until they were already doing season 2. Could it be that bad communication or final minute decision, forced them to rush through every story idea they had, in the one cour they had left?
Cut the pointless plot threads, sand the cast down so there aren’t a bunch of nobodies running around, spend more time showcasing the mecha doing cool things instead of ditching everything just to push the Aerial, actually meaningfully develop Suletta and Miorine’s relationship and by extension Suletta’s entire character arc instead of skimming around it/rushing through it, more focus on the transhumanism side of things, more focus on the geopolitical stuff, cut the duelling thread entirely as it just chaffs up the story, etc
That's a defining characteristic of gWitch – illogical "shock" scenes aimed at minute popularity on social networks without short-term consequences and not affecting future events.
Why would I apologize?
Trash from Okouchi being vomit-covered shit doesn't magically make Semen-Blooded homosexuals not shit.
Heads need to roll at Bandai, and Nagai's is one of them.
you wish, nothing in the anime industry is guaranteed 50 episodes anymore unless it's the current hyper-popular fad and even then it's only renewed for a season (1 or 2 cour) at a time
I still am raising my flag while listening to resolution
>X
For what? It's a decent show.
>IBO
Sure, G-Witch would be better if either Nagai directed it or Okada wrote it.

At least we got some more content from the game

wdym by this? can you give some specifics?

I don't apologize for anything. All gundam is shit forever and you should stop liking it.
>AU
Outside of Fighter G and 00 Season 1 why even bother
>why bother
Cool robots? Why are you here?
>Cool robots
Not a single one of those in most AU
Why are you here?
To talk about Eureka Seven
>Eureka Seven
>cool robots
Literally just G-reco with turd polish.
Filtered
>Same animation studio
>Same shitty mech designs
>Same character designs
Tell me when I'm telling lies.
Sunrise did x. Bones did e7
Frick CM Punk
That’s kinda hard to believe considering the sheer breadth of mech design between AUs. But w/e
g-self is ugly
So when the next longform comes out we'll have this thread but it'll be apologize to IBO and G-Witch. Understood
WfM is still better than IBO, cope.

IBO producer hinting movie version?
How would Japan react to them removing the orga meme pose from the theatrical version of IBO? Would they just meme whatever they replace it with? RAISE YOUR gay
>non-Tomino Gundam is shit
duh
What's your problem with X?
Also between IBO and WfM, I'd rather just not watch the special olympics
Gundam X was a fine anime. For IBO, only the first season was good.
2nd season of ibo was a better story but they made all the characters go full moron so it ruined everything
The second season fricking sucked.
better than anything in season 1 story wise
Maybe, but if season 1 was bad, season 2 was worse.
IBO only gets flak because it had the balls to actually kill off its main cast. Hathaway's Flash did it better.
I just want more IBO gundam frames, maybe some more grunts in either model kit or action figure form.
Though I love the idea of the calamity war I think my imagination can do a better job than some japanese writers in a slave labored writing room.
Tamashii teased some special color lupus rex but I haven’t seen any elaboration on it yet.
Imagine if IBO was 24 eps long. And I don't mean it ending at the point where season 1 ended. I mean that all 50 eps are crammed into 24. That would have been an even bigger disaster. And that's exactly what Witch did.

You know what you do if you don't know how many episodes you're getting? You plan for the smaller number.
Gwitch doesn't contain 50 episodes of story
G-Reco had 50 eps worth of story, and the original TV version was 26 episodes long.
Could actually be better, especially for the Season 2 of IBO.
IBO was 50 episodes of nearly nothing but characters pretending stuff was important. "Muh Bael" sums it up perfectly.
X's staff modifying the entire 2nd half to work with 10 less episodes and still pulling a complete story with an actual ending was a miracle
You could easily cut a lot of IBO like the parts where they walk around shopping or some of the Turbines plot.
>WfM is confirmed to be shit
How would you improve G-Witch, OP?
12 episodes, cut everything but the most important shit and tell a more focused story instead of spending half the show on pointless filler.
Make it 115 minutes movie.
Any one else feel like GWitch unnecessarily tries to end every episode on a cliffhanger?
Aerial getting wrecked meant nothing.
That's a defining characteristic of gWitch – illogical "shock" scenes aimed at minute popularity on social networks without short-term consequences and not affecting future events.
Game of Thrones ruined an entire generation of storytellers.
isn't the latest final fantasy like this too? why is japan accepting this disease?
money and out-of-touch executives and marketers chasing after what they think works
BlackRock
Got a zoomer who's never watched Code Geass over here.
Ending every episode with a cliffhanger is just a thing Okouchi does.
Nope, IBO is shit.
So what's this about someone who worked on ibo talking about a future ibo movie?
i'll never apologize to its awful second season, but that first season is better then both witch seasons
Man they shit the bed hard with the second season.
I was more entertained with the 2nd season. Season 1 was beyond boring and so typical "gundam" it felt incredibly constrained.
>I was more entertained with the 2nd season
Why? That season was a mess.
I enjoyed them all. Does that make me better than you? Yes.
Why would I apologize?
Trash from Okouchi being vomit-covered shit doesn't magically make Semen-Blooded homosexuals not shit.
Heads need to roll at Bandai, and Nagai's is one of them.
Isn't Witch From Mercury still up for the rest of its fifty episodes, anyway?
you wish, nothing in the anime industry is guaranteed 50 episodes anymore unless it's the current hyper-popular fad and even then it's only renewed for a season (1 or 2 cour) at a time
No. It's obvious the production staff were told it wouldn't continue past the second cour given how it ended.
>wasted potential and setting for a fricking space yakuza drama
Nothing to apologize for, WfM being garbage doesn't make IBO a masterpice.
