that has been calart shit eaters defense from the start. First they try to tell you "this is not calards it's <other style name>" then they shit on older shows with the pretense that they are "just the same", it's moron logic, there's no dialog there, they basically bark and bark and barlk and claim their victory without ever quoting any of the answers they get.
Like 40% of the episode takes place in the cartoon dimension, but the version I found had such shit resolution and image quality that only like one or two close-ups were worth looking at.

Meg was pretty cute. She had this bratty spunky thing going on. The mom was pretty cute to in a milf way.
You can watch this and kind of get an idea
of course the mom has a girl run and Meg leaps with energy and spunk.
Too bad this show is almost lost media. You'd think someone would put out a blu with all the episodes.

It’s sad
We hardly get cartoony characters anymore, or cartoony girls for that matter.
Molly McGee was such a breath of fresh air because of how wacky and zany she could get. She was like a Ren and Stimpy character, she looked like a Spumco girl and they even gave her mental breakdowns like a Spumco character

So, did anyone catch the Tiny Toons easter egg in this yet?
This show ended in 87. But they call the duck "chucky duck"
What are the odds some of these people were already working on preprudction material for Tiny Toons? We know TMS helped animate both. Many of the backgrounds and sound effects are similar. And this whole episode has a premise similar to Wackyland.

>Many of the backgrounds and sound effects are similar.
Those are stock sound effects used all across the industry. We're still using recordings made a decade ago. The Wilhelm scream is from the 50s.

For me it's interesting to see what people view as the standard "cartoon" style. It's either some old rubberhose/disney style, what kappa mikey did, or nowadays the """"calarts"""""" post-adventure time style
The girl unironically looks like she could fit in a KND episode
Oh god, you mean the show that obviously started as a pitch for a nirmal cartoon about kids in adventures but execs wont buldge so they slapped Popeye and Co. and make the kid his son?

yes and carebears and pound puppies.
BUT, cartoony Bionic six is specifically copying popeye, more than it is like any of the other shows mentioned. They all look like they could be related to olive oil.
was Popeye and Son animated in japan by TMS? Because all three bionic cartoony characters are really just Olive Oyl. Though they have the white eyes of the kids. Olive only had white eyes in the 60s. I have my doubts japan animated those, though it is possible. The 60s shorts are some of the worst looking popeye cartoons.

Like most '80s Hanna-Barbera shows, Popeye and Son's outsourced animation was done in Taiwan by Wang Films.
I don't really see the Olive influence either; the cartoonist and the universe are pretty clearly a combination of Looney Tunes and MGM characters with Flemming himself being more of a Tex Avery stand-in than anything else.

yeah...but that isnt how they designed the humans in that cartoon world.
Had they turned Meg into a little red riding hood, even that nerdy one in your video, there would be a daily thread. Cinemaphile wouldn't have ever stopped beating off to her.
But none of the 3 bionic kids look like that. They look like popeye and son characters. No Tex Avery or Warner characters look like that. At MOST, MAYBE, the rural red riding hood has similar proportions, but Meg and company have better face designs.

you know what? if they drew Olive this shapely while still being a stick, I can appreciate Popeye's taste
I'm watching it now. Is this the opposite of a bottle episode? Like, did they come in under budget and decide to blow everything that was left on the final episode?
TMS almost went bankrupt making the Little Nemo movie
To fundit and their debts they took on a bunch of western outsource work at a large discount
Once the debts were all gone they jacked the rate back up because they wanted to focus on their own projects.
Mostly because they remade the damn thing 3 FRICKING TIMES! once as a japanese language late 70s anime film, then as a proto-ghibli style film, then as a Ozamu Dezaki style film which there were even leaked production sheets on twatter, and finally as the TMS westaboo style we got.
Anon is exaggerating. They didn't remake the film three times, they just had a long development period during which they considered many different pitches and creative directions. The root of the problem was that it was a co-production with a revolving door of western creators who all had their own idea of what the movie should be like, and the studio's own ambitions of breaking into the world market with a"western-style" film. No one was playing to their strengths, and much money was wasted on writers.

It is studio TMS, aka the one behind the best of Animaniacs and Tiny Toons.
Of course when you allow them to animate cartoonish, you end up with the creme of the crop. that studio could single handledly save western animation, if americans in animation were not japanophobic weabos.
Even from the moment they enter the cartoon dimension, characters just move for no obvious reason even when they could have gotten away with freezing them. I'm glad I saw this.
that's right
they could've animated meg just sitting down, instead they added a cute gag just to characterize her and her brother, even in the last episode
TMS was the only animation studio in the 90s with that exact animation style. whether you like it or not, theres no other japanese studio who did shows like those in the late 80s/the 90s.
If you check the end credits for the episode, it lists TMS as the production studio for the animation.
Only a few of the Japanese personnel are specifically listed though since the norm back then was just to list the studio outside of directors; some of the named people also worked on the second season of Kidd Video a few years previously. Which isn't surprising when you compare the B6 toon world to the Flipside.

Adding that Niel Ross did a lot of 80s/90s stuff, though if you play video games you'd probably know him best as Volgin from MGS3, Moneybags from Spyro, or Murai from Ninja Gaiden (the 3D one, not the arcade or NES ones)
There's something about that unnecessary action of the guy sitting taking up all the space and then getting tapped on to move over that I really like. Like he could have been animated to right away sit on the side.
She also does a little curtsy when he makes room for her
He just opens a single eye when she taps him like he's already expecting it as well which makes it feel like something of a routine between them. Just a nice little bit of a brother gently teasing his sister accomplished in just a few frames of character animation.

famicom why are you insane? Does your family know you are insane? Why come onto Cinemaphile and claim that anything good that TMS so much as breaths or farts on is thanks to TMS or build up these wild conspiracies where any failure on any property ever related to TMS is a slight against the entire nation of japan and that the japaense people are united in their intense hatred as a response?
Are you taking the piss? Do you realize that the real world isn't as simple as the shit you say?
All of japan not wanting to work with american's because TMS wasn't allowed to make any new tiny toons episodes AND that scott pilgrim didn't shit literal gold nuggets for everyone is the most absurd shit. How can you walk and breath at the same time with a brain that works in such absulute terms while also drawing such odd connections between things?
Dude, you have overt Schizophrenia if you're not acting.
I am just thinking that TMS did a good job in the 90s and if you look at their current animation output anime wise, they are still doing okay. meanwhile I see very little of that sort of quality from the american side of things and as such I would prefer it if TMS gained some more recognition again on the western front.
I was otherwise just mocking the fact that some western animators, particularly of the current generation, seem to love the fact to put anime references in their own media, but at the same time mock the genre if it "dares" to be more popular than them.
again, who is even famicom aside of some made after the NES.
from what i understand, it seems that famicom guy, is someone obssessed and upset that the remakes of WBs 90s cartoons (Animaniacs 2022, Tiny Toon Looniversity) werent animated by TMS. regardless of the fact that the old guard of TMS is probably retired or dead, meaning that style will never come back, ever.
personally, im ok that they arent involved with those cartoons. but whenever an anon calls someone by name, he is just as obsessed, prolly he is against japanese studios animating american cartoons in general.

Smelling her finger... >Slappy Squirrel voice
You remind me of a drawgay I saw on /b/ once...
I've always wondered if this was a self insert ep for the japanese team. Meg and Bunji are almost flirty in this episode. Hugging each other. Being graceful and thoughtful of each other.
Then again, I dont have every episode memorized. They might have been touchy in all their shared episodes.
Which reminds me. For all the b***hing you people do about wokeness now, you'd shat yourself when this show came out. The good guys adopting both a black and asian son? The Black son being the smartest? The white daughter being all touchy with the asian son?
That is Toshihiko Masuda's personal style. He was known as the go-to "cartoon guy" in Japan in the 90s.
Really underrated. To this day, he remains the only Japanese animator to have won an Emmy.
That guy is still directing and drawing keyframes. It's both wondrous and a little sad, that a guy his age is still doing the work that's normally by people in their 20s. It's just how they roll there.
I don't mean he's doing low level work. Rather, he's still doing a lot of manual work. An episode director on anime is doing a lot of drawing personally, while overseeing everyone else's drawing. It's physically demanding.
>why was the outsource team doing character design?
Because they were hired to do that too, nowadays they do pretty much everything in-house but the actual animation because that's the most expensive part of the process so they send it to the cheapest korean sweatshop they could find, but back in the 80s japanese studios were seen as the best of the best(ignoring that they also sent their inbetweens to the korean sweatshops), so while the american producers provided the money, scripts, voices and music, for the animation they were left to their own devices with minimum interference
>why was the outsource team doing character design? >shouldnt that have been handled stateside?
This episode is either the last episode or one of the last episodes pitched. Maybe after helping them do the whole show, the japanese team asked "hey, since we all like american cartoons so much, can we do like a funny american cartoon episode?" And the americans said sure.
Also, Roger Rabbit was going to release in 88, one year later. So its not surprising the American team agreed. Hell, These designs might partially be born out of sketches from the american team too. We don't know. Its really only Famicom in the thread fully crediting TMS for everything in this episode. Ultimately we don't know how much is them and how much of it was the American team.
Neh, depends on the shot and episode, but is she supposed to be a Teen? She looks like a woman in her mid 20s, and lets face it, as well as the japanese animate or draw, the George Perez comicbook artstyle does not look good.
Of course it depends on the shot and episode, is an 80s cartoon you are lucky if you get 3 seconds of smooth animation.
> the George Perez comicbook artstyle does not look good.
How dare you, to be completely honest that style is great, thing is, its not an animation friendly style but on a poster or a notebook looks great.
>Popeye and Son

Can we please zoom out of the blonde girl for a second?
This show (Bionic Six) looks alright, seems like something I'd enjoy but also seems it didn't had any home releases and that's a shame since this animation with a crispy clear video will be amazing.
it was first an 80s show that aired around the time COPS did. Then it was later reran on SCIFI channel in the mornings around the time BTAS was popular.
It was aight. The villains never really made any sense and I dont know why they exist. But the artwork was good and mom and daughter are cute. Dudes are at least as good as COPS, GI Joe and heman

>>LJN >the Rainbow of shit actually made toys and not just shitty videogames?
Yeah; LJN started as a toy company in 1970 before moving into video games in '87. MCA who produced Bionic 6 owned like two-thirds of LJN at the time the show was made.
LJN was really big in the early and mid-80s since they basically had the ET toy rights given to them for practically nothing (like they paid about $20K for a toy line that made around $20 million) and followed that up with the WWF license.
They also had Thundercats along other with less... successful things like some ill-chosen tie-ins and the Entertech line of water guns that got some kids killed by panicky cops.
Anon, Robocop and Rambo had cartoons and toy lines, as long as it wasnt explicit pornography you could license anything to sell junk to kids back in the 80s

The plan for the Dune movie was for it to be as big as Star Wars and sell tons of merchandise.
>It was PG-13 and, I guess, the thinking went "why wouldn't kids want to play as their favorite character, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen"?
given that the current BVH is piling up in ROSS right now, I guess they never learn

The funny thing to me is that if LJN had actually went all-in on the character and made the toy as gross looking as the '84 film version, it probably would have worked. Say what you will about that film, the Baron is still one of the most memorable movie villains in an era absolutely jam-packed with great ones.
>wasnt that movie either pg-13 or r? kids werent supposed to be watching it, why would you license a toy line
oh anon, kids in the 80s and 90s watched all kinds of adult shit not meant for them. Freddy Krueger's Robert Englund was on Nickelodeon, cooking with his murder glove.
That was just a stupid game kids played back then. Adults would make something R for themselves and kids would find a way to sneak and watch it. Kid's tv and toys knew and capitalized on it.
its somewhere below GI Joe / Transformers / Shera / heman and above shit like filmation's ghostbusters. Its about on par with COPS or the robocop cartoon. The randomness of the villain designs and half of the superhero family are really what hold it back. Like, the hero team has a robotic gorella. Like...why? It didn't help or save Filmation's ghostbusters. So why do it again?
its kind of like what if someone made the Incredables right after the bionic woman was hot and popular and then kind of flubbed half the design.
Because most R34 artist usually dont draw someone if they didnt grow up watching their cartoons, unless someone pays for it or is a current trendy character
Cinemaphile doesn't have the pull it used too.
Threads like this where a cute cartoon character is discovered use to be alot more active than this, with more artists.

Cinemaphile's been going to shit for a lot longer than that. The biggest problems are, in order of importance: smarphones, the deletion of /misc/, and the creation of /misc/.
NBCUniversal owns it and they take down Bionic Six content on Youtube. They don't even want a video of the intro in English on Youtube, you can only upload a video of the audio. They're sitting on the show and don't want anyone to have it for whatever reason.
>They're sitting on the show and don't want anyone to have it for whatever reason.
do they own bionic man and bionic woman too? They could be hoping Sony or Universal or someone will licence it for big bucks since it was also hot when the hulk show was hot. (76 vs 78)
They dont realize that unless they ease that grip up, they are killing their chance at kids finding the stuff on youtube and revising the different shows.

I FIGHT FOR THEM
AND THEY FIGHT FOR ME
Uh, I guess be careful if you ever try watching Ulysses 31 or Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors.

Surprisingly charming, shame about the quality
I miss squash and stretch on cartoon characters, though molly McGee ar least has it
Man, I'd genuinely love to see more of this style. What a shame it was only for one episode.
Are the rights all fricked up or something?
I just don't think anyone really cares. This never had quite the same nostalgia appeal so many other shows of the time had. Probably find more people who remember Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors.
>I just don't think anyone really cares. This never had quite the same nostalgia appeal so many other shows of the time had. Probably find more people who remember Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors.
If COPS can get a basic dvd release, Bionic six should get one too
>BUT WHEN YOUR WHEELS GET YOU THERE
>THINGS WILL TURN OUT RIGHT!
For me it's interesting to see what people view as the standard "cartoon" style. It's either some old rubberhose/disney style, what kappa mikey did, or nowadays the """"calarts"""""" post-adventure time style
The girl unironically looks like she could fit in a KND episode
>The girl unironically looks like she could fit in a KND episode
no. Its just popeye style.
She looks straight from Popeye and Son
Pretty cute actually, you deed a great job juggling the cartoony while making it appealing.
>Popeye and Son
Oh god, you mean the show that obviously started as a pitch for a nirmal cartoon about kids in adventures but execs wont buldge so they slapped Popeye and Co. and make the kid his son?
Several shows around that time had similar designs; My Pet Monster is another one for instance.
>Several shows around that time had similar designs; My Pet Monster is another one for instance.
yes and carebears and pound puppies.
BUT, cartoony Bionic six is specifically copying popeye, more than it is like any of the other shows mentioned. They all look like they could be related to olive oil.
Man she is ugly
Many will disagree with you.
The voices in your head
>She looks straight from Popeye and Son
was Popeye and Son animated in japan by TMS?
>I don't really see the Olive influence either
get your eyes checked then. Nothing about those human designs is Looney Tunes.
Setting aside the episode title, the entire first scene of it is a direct parody of Bugs Bunny cartoons.
Plus:
>Setting aside the episode title, the entire first scene of it is a direct parody of Bugs Bunny cartoons.
yeah...but that isnt how they designed the humans in that cartoon world.
At MOST, MAYBE, the rural red riding hood has similar proportions, but Meg and company have better face designs.
>was Popeye and Son animated in japan by TMS? Because all three bionic cartoony characters are really just Olive Oyl. Though they have the white eyes of the kids. huh, are you ok bro? the 60s Popeye's were done DEFINITIVELY NOT BY THE JAPS
you know what? if they drew Olive this shapely while still being a stick, I can appreciate Popeye's taste
Toony Bionic 6?
I'm watching it now. Is this the opposite of a bottle episode? Like, did they come in under budget and decide to blow everything that was left on the final episode?
Cancelled leaked Phantasy Star the animated series by DiC?
AI makes Meg look like a derpy looking anime girl or boy.
Pasqualo ?
always had a big crush on Meg. Shame taht cartoon will probably never get even a blu full of the SD eps
Bionic Six was mastered on 35MM film, HD/4K prinks can be done.
doesn't still have video edits like speed up footage and the ending credits are done on video too?
Those have to be redone.
i wonder why jap studios stopped being outsourced to in the 90s, im guessing for budget reasons
We had Scott Pilgrim last year, East and West do still intermingle sometimes
TMS almost went bankrupt making the Little Nemo movie
To fundit and their debts they took on a bunch of western outsource work at a large discount
Once the debts were all gone they jacked the rate back up because they wanted to focus on their own projects.
Mostly because they remade the damn thing 3 FRICKING TIMES! once as a japanese language late 70s anime film, then as a proto-ghibli style film, then as a Ozamu Dezaki style film which there were even leaked production sheets on twatter, and finally as the TMS westaboo style we got.
they were being fricking idiots
how are they idiots yet also some of the best outsourcing studios?
Anon is exaggerating. They didn't remake the film three times, they just had a long development period during which they considered many different pitches and creative directions. The root of the problem was that it was a co-production with a revolving door of western creators who all had their own idea of what the movie should be like, and the studio's own ambitions of breaking into the world market with a"western-style" film. No one was playing to their strengths, and much money was wasted on writers.

yeah, I looked over some of your artwork and I recognized certain characters I assume no one would know in america
I have the TF scene of her
I love how they upped the detail on her regular look to make the contrast bigger. such a nice sequence.
That scene is also cute one
Don't know why I made this, I just love the animation and how she looks.
holy SOUL
dat animation, dem details, dose gestures...
It is studio TMS, aka the one behind the best of Animaniacs and Tiny Toons.
Of course when you allow them to animate cartoonish, you end up with the creme of the crop. that studio could single handledly save western animation, if americans in animation were not japanophobic weabos.
Hello Famicom
Even from the moment they enter the cartoon dimension, characters just move for no obvious reason even when they could have gotten away with freezing them. I'm glad I saw this.
that's right
they could've animated meg just sitting down, instead they added a cute gag just to characterize her and her brother, even in the last episode
Who animated this?
TMS
Can I get some proof besides the TMS crazy person?
TMS was the only animation studio in the 90s with that exact animation style. whether you like it or not, theres no other japanese studio who did shows like those in the late 80s/the 90s.
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=3897
ill verify its TMS as well.
> war iz teh proofs
No.
If you check the end credits for the episode, it lists TMS as the production studio for the animation.
Only a few of the Japanese personnel are specifically listed though since the norm back then was just to list the studio outside of directors; some of the named people also worked on the second season of Kidd Video a few years previously. Which isn't surprising when you compare the B6 toon world to the Flipside.
>some of the named people also worked on the second season of Kidd Video a few years previously.
AH HAH!
I fricking knew it!
I watched Kidd Video years ago, and IIRC in the season second I started to see a few episodes that looked very TMS-ish in style, but nothing was ever mentioned in the end credits. Nor is Kidd Video listed on TMS's Wikipedia page. So I was right all along? What are the names?
Hi Famicom, once again
For frick's sake anon it's not that hard to distinguish Famicom's posts.
Dude lol he isn't Famicom/TMSgay, his posting style isn't nearly robotic enough to be him
No I'm not him.
I legit watched KV a few years ago.
Was looking for proof it was them that animated some episodes.
>Nor is Kidd Video listed on TMS's Wikipedia page.
I don't think TMS worked on it so much as some of their people did some freelance work on it and other shows. Those artists sometimes did that work under other names which can cause certain sites to list those shows in their credits while others don't.
>as some of their people did some freelance work on it and other shows.
Well, were their named listed in the Kidd Video ending credits? It's been too long now, I don't remember.
>Those artists sometimes did that work under other names which can cause certain sites to list those shows in their credits while others don't.
Fake names or their real names?
Well I'll be there is the proof.
I dont know any of these voice actors besides Frank Welker.
>I dont know any of these voice actors besides Frank Welker
I'm not a Zoomer, but, I didnt watch any of these really. Don't remember Smurfs that well. I think one of them is a Wuzzle?
Also wow this guy is still alive at 93.
Alan Oppenheimer (Best known for Skeletor, Nornan from Big O, and Prometheus from God of War II)
Jennifer Darling (Irma, Pythona, and Aeka)
Brian Tochi ('90s movie Leonardo, DoTR Liu Kang)
I never watched any of these.
So it didn't work?
One of those roles was from a video game. You never had a PS2?
n64 kid
>So it didn't work?
Why do you think the American pharmaceutical industry spends 19 times as much money on advertisement as they do on research and development?
I miss animation.
Is the physicality that makes it charming. You get to see their personalities shine in something as simple as sitting in a couhc.
That's called character acting. Most cartoons nowadays lack it because the showrunners have reduced the medium to vehicle for dialogue.
>That's called character acting. Most cartoons nowadays lack it because the showrunners have reduced the medium to vehicle for dialogue.
which japan is famous for. Mother frickers all about filling a shot panning a background or someone's face while someone speaks to eat up some time.
The part where he tells them to get off the couch is so smooth people animating today should take notice.
i missed those background light effects? how did they accomplished such stuff?
By leaving that part of the cel unpainted so the backlight would go through the transparent sections
>Toonification

Do TF gays really, truly?
Perfection
Oh yeah Pegasus was big into toonification too
The Toon Dark Magician Girl Pegasus has was super cute as a toon
Damn it, I want a good show in this style.
I like that the message of the episode was against corporate social engineering and in favour of entertainment. Been a while since you saw that in a cartoon.

Toonification
>did it really do that shitty?
no one liked how they all got fooled into thinking this was a loyal adaptation, the animation is nice but that's not surprising from a japanese animation studio, Im sure people would've been more likewarm to the idea of a "what it" if netflix was sincere in its ad
somebody clearly saged the tread because he hates fun
famicom why are you insane?
Dude, you have overt Schizophrenia if you're not acting.
who the frick is Famicom?
I am just thinking that TMS did a good job in the 90s and if you look at their current animation output anime wise, they are still doing okay. meanwhile I see very little of that sort of quality from the american side of things and as such I would prefer it if TMS gained some more recognition again on the western front.
I was otherwise just mocking the fact that some western animators, particularly of the current generation, seem to love the fact to put anime references in their own media, but at the same time mock the genre if it "dares" to be more popular than them.
again, who is even famicom aside of some made after the NES.
from what i understand, it seems that famicom guy, is someone obssessed and upset that the remakes of WBs 90s cartoons (Animaniacs 2022, Tiny Toon Looniversity) werent animated by TMS. regardless of the fact that the old guard of TMS is probably retired or dead, meaning that style will never come back, ever.
personally, im ok that they arent involved with those cartoons. but whenever an anon calls someone by name, he is just as obsessed, prolly he is against japanese studios animating american cartoons in general.
please stop talking to yourself and check into a facility
>There will never be a high quality version of this uploaded anywhere
Fricking hate that, it's just a genuinely appealing looking episode.
She's so cute it's unreal, being a guy is legitimately suffering when 3 lines representing eyelashes are enough to hijack my entire brain

eh, her realistic design is still pretty cute
No homo, but the Asian guy is cute in toon form as well.
Cinemaphile brains shat straight on the floor.
Gotta love how more appealing she is as a toon
literal smurf proportions.
That is Toshihiko Masuda's personal style. He was known as the go-to "cartoon guy" in Japan in the 90s.
Really underrated. To this day, he remains the only Japanese animator to have won an Emmy.
what did he won it for?
Superman The Animated Series.
What scene in particular?
The dream with the symbiot fighting the costume for peter is really well done.
It's not a particular scene, it's an Emmy for outstanding daytime animated program. It's for the entire production team.
I don't know why people here hate you Famicom. You seem to know your stuff
Ffs anon that's not Famicom
Pretty sure that's not Famicom
>Born in 1960
Bros all these guys are getting pretty old...its gonna be sad when they go.
That guy is still directing and drawing keyframes. It's both wondrous and a little sad, that a guy his age is still doing the work that's normally by people in their 20s. It's just how they roll there.
isnt directing the peak?
I don't mean he's doing low level work. Rather, he's still doing a lot of manual work. An episode director on anime is doing a lot of drawing personally, while overseeing everyone else's drawing. It's physically demanding.
Damn. I wished there are more Japanese animators that want to makes cartoons.
Hell, I wished there were more animators in general that made cartoons. Proper, traditional, funny cartoons.
Now, everyone wants to be either "comics" or "anime."
why was the outsource team doing character design?
shouldnt that have been handled stateside?
>why was the outsource team doing character design?
Speak for yourself I think she is pretty cute.
Never watched the show in full, I found it cringe as a kid, this one and the one where the Pink Panther talks.
>the one where the Pink Panther talks.
The only thing I like about that show is Queenie.
Localization vs original game
Sex with toon Meg would sound like this.
I have an OC who used to look something like this, but changed it because it looked too cute.
Personally it's an improvement.
Dudes are at least as good as COPS, GI Joe and heman
the show was also rather self aware. Dr. Scarab had some really great lines.
Henchman: But boss, what if your plan fails.
Scarab: then I just lost millions in development and research
also one of the most rerun cartoons in germany in the mid 90s.
I swear i remember seeing this on cartoon express back in the day.
Jennifer Darling (voice of Madame O) played a supporting character on Bionic Woman.

I picked the color from a blurry screenshot and those tend to lack saturation and brightness, making things look muddy. When I draw for threads I rarely have time to bother with tweaking colors since the thread could be dead or deleted at any time.

Ok what if....when they get back to their world the blonde chick is still stuck as a cartoon and is the only one permanently stuck in cartoon form do we like this?
bionic enhancement AND toon logic would be broken as frick
Then why not make a mini series of Bionic Six but as cartoony?
why are you asking me? do I look like a 80s network exec?
This show came out in 1987. It was the era of He-Man, GI Joe, Thundercats, C.O.P.S., and Silverhawks. We're lucky just to get this episode.
Hhappy to see some fanart of toon Meg and I don't want to be an ass and request anyone specifically but, I was thinking how the Bionic Mom would look like in the same toon style, so if anyone would be willing to try their hand at it...
The pizza made me snort, this is beautiful!
also in color
Were you already working on this before the request/suggestion? That's too fast!
no. I just am that fast. I epected it to take longer because of the suit but the legs are pretty plain.
I just imagined a link between toon Helen and that one pic of Meg with the censoring bars pressed a bit too tight against her body:
>The other toons convinced Meg to go around naked like them.
>Helen promptly slaps censor bars into her daughter using her telekinesis
>Objectively covered her, but Helen's toon powers went a bit too hard so there is still a lot to be seen...
not a bad idea.combinig the pics and removing the pizza would make it look on purpose. good thinking.
Yo, that's actually very cool! Can you do Jack and Eric too?
Nah.
using her powers on multiple toys to pelasure herself when? I'll be checking your baraag since you can't post here if you take the request. (lovely new Meg by the way)

If any drawfriends are taking requests, I'm requesting toon Meg in the same pose that's on the Meg action figure packaging.
I second this. Put a stupid bendy toy in the package.
I have no idea what that expression on the packaging is trying to convey.
I believe they were trying to make it look like the transformation sequence where they yell "Bionic Six", but the artist who had to draw it by hand wasn't working in the show (and he had to use very simple colors since printers weren't that advanced back then as you can tell by some comic books of that decade).
Yours looks like she is tied up at the mercy of her captors...

the Rainbow of shit actually made toys and not just shitty videogames?
LJN was a toy company at least until 1990 when they close the toys division. They entered the videogame market in 1987
which was then absorbed by Acclaim in the mid '90s regurgitated back up in 2000 to make one game before being slurped back up again while Acclaim itself was put down by the Mouse in 2010.

They also had Thundercats along other with less... successful things like some ill-chosen tie-ins and the Entertech line of water guns that got some kids killed by panicky cops.
wasnt that movie either pg-13 or r? kids werent supposed to be watching it, why would you license a toy line
Was the show any good?
>Was the show any good?
its somewhere below GI Joe / Transformers / Shera / heman and above shit like filmation's ghostbusters. Its about on par with COPS or the robocop cartoon. The randomness of the villain designs and half of the superhero family are really what hold it back. Like, the hero team has a robotic gorella. Like...why? It didn't help or save Filmation's ghostbusters. So why do it again?
its kind of like what if someone made the Incredables right after the bionic woman was hot and popular and then kind of flubbed half the design.
there's an updated B6 Gallery on ehentai.
Not much but it's slightly better than the earlier fan art of the Series
Went to rule 34 and yeah the earlier Bionic SIx were maximum ug.
Why is it that some cartoon series have slim pickings both quality and quantity for 34?
too many shows, too few artists.
Because most R34 artist usually dont draw someone if they didnt grow up watching their cartoons, unless someone pays for it or is a current trendy character
Cinemaphile also suffers from this. There's no pics of that chick from Mad Bull 34
Perrine Valley? There's 4 pics of her from a cg set on a paheal but that's it.
There would been no pics of obscure OVA waifus if it werent for autists like pepi
>obscure OVA waifus
this guy is a good follow if you like abscure waifus. Does photo collections for reference to artists.

sadly no bionic six folder yet.
What are Timon and Pumbaa doing there?
who are these furry critters?
Is this the flavor of the month thread?
man I hope so
kinda wish her cartoon hair looked more than her normal form, with the strands going a bit on the back
That bothered me too
>Toyotaro: WRITE THAT DOWN, WRITE THAT DOWN
Are we already dead? I'm too smitten with Toon Meg to let it go, but I can't draw
alot of stuff about her on deviantart
is there? what are you searching for? I look for Meg Bionic six and find nothing
"Bionic 6"
Cinemaphile doesn't have the pull it used too.
Threads like this where a cute cartoon character is discovered use to be alot more active than this, with more artists.
Under rated design. She has good colors and eyebrows.
It got ruined when the T people took over, specially after a certain date 3 years ago.
Tourists were 2016 not 2021.
Also in general more people prefer Discord and Twitter than old and frick Cinemaphile.
>Also in general more people prefer Discord and Twitter
twitter isn't good for long conversations
discord can suck because you get group think. Like you'll get like 5 guys that will just argue with what another 5 guys say by default. OR it just becomes an echo chamber completely.
As annoying as some of you are, I'd still rather argue or discuss something with someone that has a real opinion and isn't just arguing to get cool boy points with their discord bros.
Also, there is the problem of actually finding discords about topics you like.
>twitter isn't good for long conversations
That doesn't stop people chopping up blog posts into like 10 different posts to fit all their shit in it. I hate it. Just use a BLOG then. Problem is no one reads those anymore.

us old gen Ys and Xs need to take back Live Journal. Frick the boomers and the zoomers.
>2016
Cinemaphile's been going to shit for a lot longer than that. The biggest problems are, in order of importance: smarphones, the deletion of /misc/, and the creation of /misc/.
Dont say the ''T'' Word man, you know what i mean
Humpin the thread wont do good, it was saged already.
Tigger?
Who owns the rights to this show
NBCUniversal owns it and they take down Bionic Six content on Youtube.
She looks like an ozamu tezuka characters
Not really.
this was a good thread.
welp, i say goodbye to the thread by leaving this. https://files.catbox.moe/tagt3e.png
all accounts you post art on plz
https://twitter.com/Bunshirisan
bueno. thank you.
nice
>Tan line
I love you
You are incredibly talented
You guys are all pathethic, she is NOT gonna become the new Flavor of the Month, not even a week.
this image annoys me for some reason
Why?
i think its the artstyle
I may be wrong, but I think he meant to that weird mouth shape that been placed, like pic related. Look how her mouth has been placed in that frame.
like it looks like something thats supposed to be animated on ones
Surprised nobody has posted that DA user that does that well animated toonifications.
Link?

They had a change to give her bigger boobs :DDDD
hey, you drew this? noice! what filter did you used?
Man, you gotta check your VCR man, that video quality is pretty bad.
pretty good.
what other cartoons had a toonification episode
There is an issue in Mantra where she has to fight a demon that manifested himself as a Loneytune type Wolf and mantra has to learn about toon logic to defeat him
Now we're cookin with gas
Technically Channel Chasers, and now that I think about it, I feel like there's way more "toon character escaping to the real world" episodes than "someone entering another world and becoming a cartoon" ones
It was part of the entire concept of /Kidd Video.
So is SB99 gonna like draw her?
