Apparently Disney has now made Obi wan a homosexual. I think its a threat to the actors that if they keep doing poorly they'll be sucking dick in the next movie and doing other degrading things.

yeah there's a problem way too much fricking floating rocks in these movies.

Obi wan was a solid 10/10 until this scene. if rocks actually hit Darth Vader (also known as Anakin FYI) at a velocity high enough to shatter, Vader would be torn to pieces.
Although, perhaps Darth Vader was using some kind of Force-shield to stop most of the kinetic energy.

        >Although, perhaps Darth Vader was using some kind of Force-shield to stop most of the kinetic energy.
You answered your own question. Scene and show in general was still unnecessary though. Their "reunion" in ANH is more potent if it happens directly after RotS.

The power level of the force has gotten so fricking stupid.

This is fairly standard display for a Jedi. It could've worked better in a different context and with the show having superior writers, but it's not inaccurate or lore breaking at least.

I'm not even a star wars fan but why the frick is a blue saber wielder like Obi using the force to that degree? I thought blue saber users were supposed to be more adept at sword play while those more in tune with the force had a green saber? That's shit I'd expect from Yoda or Sidious but not this guy?

I gave up 25 minutes into the first episode. The horses in the first Assassins Creed game thats 15 years old had smoother movement than that camel thing in the first episode. That first fight in that bar in the beginning was peak cringe. That little girl chase scene did it for me. Turned that shit of and decided that this is either made for 12 year old or for morons. Never looked back.

I think people were expecting a show about Obi-wan learning the ends and outs of Tatooine and maybe scenes of him keeping a young Luke out of trouble while staying in the shadows. Instead we got him leaving the planet and going on adventures with a young Leia and having confrontations with Vader. Which all felt like remember this remember this. It also harkened back to the prequels which I know a lot of homosexuals here don't want to admit were really really shitty. Also the show looked really low budget. And the Black person inquisitor which was just /misc/tard bait. There was nothing to bridge the gap between Obi-wan being this great jedi general to being his full of wisdom and guidance character people loved in the Original trilogy. Just a waste basically but way better than all the other Disney Wars crap.

      Anonymous

Yeah basically this. Obi-Wan and Boba got their settings switched. I don't know how to exactly describe it, but Obi-wan was always cool because he was wise and knew the subtleties of the world. He's the one to use slight of hand and strategies. Learning how to force ghost from Qui-gon the maverick is literally that, a trick. His character doesn't need to go on a fetch quest. That's something you give to a child. Obi-wan's character just had his world turned upside down, put him in situations where he can be drawn between doing things the way he used to and doing something new. Then once he learns to view the world differently he gets his reward.

  36. 2 years ago

Because nothing happened. It was an entirely self-contained story that ended where it started with no change in any of the characters or in the setting as a whole.

It's what inevitably happens when you make a "filler" prequel set between two other movies that both feature the same characters. There's no tension, and there's no character development, because we already know where the characters start out and where they're going to end up.
