Stay bitter, poor, and working dead-end jobs until you're 80, zoomers. Maybe before you're 30 you'll hopefully realize that "pulling yourself up by your bootstraps" is actually good advice that works if you put in a little effort. A little effort goes a very long way. And if that extra effort isn't being noticed, go work somewhere that does. Its so simple to understand its moronic.

Give up man, it's not just zoomers, it's everybody. Even in difficult jobs it's so easy to stand out just by applying yourself.
The rewards are worth it in the right job,
But even fast food, if you just get competent you can basically make your own hours, get away with way more than other employees, get a raise, or become the shift leader and get free food. You'll actually keep the resturaunt customers happy and the job less stressful it all adds up. Nobody is saying stay late and clean when you don't have to, just literally work when there is work to be done efficiently instead of like a toddler putting his toys away who wastes 20 minutes pouting and trying to get out of it, instead of trading 2 min to do it and getting to get ice cream right after.

They would probably be able to charge you with some form of fraud if they wanted but I say go for it and report back because that sounds pretty funny. You’d have to make it through initiation and at least work a handful of actual days to get the ball rolling and keep up appearances though or else you’d be found out immediately and your position couldn’t be something like a cashier, it would have to be something along the lines of a stocker.

He has a real understanding of shitty work environments and the sort of bureaucratic bullshit and people adhering to it that comes with them.

I worked in a shitty office admin job for a couple of years and the "TPS report" scene literally happened to me in my first week. I unknowingly put the wrong colour of batch header on a bundle of invoices and had three separate bosses bring it up. Thank god I escaped that place.

This is gonna fall upon deaf ears but whatever. You have to put in effort in your work and get good at what you're tasked to do.when you get good at what you do flow state will kick in and it'll make your job a whole lot easier and make the day go faster. When you want to work, you'll be in control instead hoping for god to make the day be easier for you, get good so you MAKE IT Easy. I get it, you don't want to work too hard for no extra pay. You don't want to help your israelite boss or you israelite company anymore than you want to. I used to champion the blue collar motto "if you're not doing the bare minimum, you're doing someone else's job". That attitude fricked me up more that I ever thought it would. I was miserable constantly because I always wanted things to be easy. And when things were easy, I wanted it to be even easier, there was no end to it. I was developing a Black person mindset. Don't get the section you want for that shift, you'll be enraged and it'll eat at you all day. Don't want to mop the floors? You'll just push it off until you can't anymore and then you mull on over do a half ass job when you could've gotten it over with earlier in five fricking minutes. Just do your fricking job and stop whining, you know what you signer up for, you're only hurting yourself. Shift this attitude and you'll maybe get a better job, or at least find some peace.

Tl;dr: Being lazy and doing the whole bare minimum thing will frick your mind up tenfold and basically you'll just become an entitled Black person in the end.
