>two autistic gays fighting over a girl and school days
>girl made a v-tuber that eventually loved the mc then decided to kill people to "make him happy"
Garbage anime
>v-tuber
Read more sci-fi you moron.
I know she's a holographic virtual idol, i'm just using a buzzword for the lolz
Doesn't matter. The story, characters, and action are all lame.
The animation is the only good thing about it
Deliberately being an idiot doesn't make you less of an idiot.
Cope and seethe
You're clearly incapable of grasping when Plus was made and how ahead of it's time the story is and that simple fact that thay it still holds up well to this day.
The story is triangle cuck love shit. It's not special
You can describe any story that reductively, it's not a sign that you've made any substantial critique though.
If anything it just exposes you as a midwit
Honestly, Sharon Apple is just (Hatsune Miku + Hal 900) but considering the overlap between vtubers and idols I think it it's an appropriate comparison
Alternately, you might consider looking at the other Super Dimension entries, Orguss and Southern Cross.
>Orguss
I'm around 2/3rds of the way in and it's already one of my favorite sci-fi anime, right up there with Patlabor TV (+ The New Files) and the various Leiji Matsumoto stuff.
>fun cast
>episodes take full advantage of the ”world in constant flux and chaos”-premise, while leaving room for downtime
>stellar soundtrack
>pretty good drama/romance
I recall anons here shitting on it a couple years, but the only talking point I remember was the rampant use of recycled footage.
>Southern Cross
Very mediocre show, but I'll admit that the mothership episodes were pretty enjoyable, almost as good as the SDF Macross arc where Hikaru and Lisa got captured while Max sneaks around in a Zentraedi uniform (that whole three-parter is genuinely my favourite part of the whole franchise).
*a couple years ago
Orguss huh. Shit starts getting certifiably wacky once they start closing in on Muu. Ending is actually quite beautiful even if I had no idea what the frick I just watched. Odd show but I did kinda like it, the sequel OVA is absolutely worth watching though. In fact it’s excellent and I like it better than the original by a wide margin.
Orguss 02 is quite a different beast, but yeah, it's great.
>I recall anons here shitting on it a couple years, but the only talking point I remember was the rampant use of recycled footage.
There's been more than a few more niche shows that got historically shat on and for the life of me I had no idea why once I actually watched them.
I think with Orguss specifically, it’s the early episodes that really throw people off. When I first watched it I was sort of expecting Dunbine mixed with Macross but it’s a lot different than that. The first 13 or so episodes are extremely slow and meandering at times, I remember when I first watched it I actually started to fall asleep (the episode where the Chiram commander with the sunglasses who totally isn’t Olson trust me gets introduced) but once they start introducing the crazy time warp displacement stuff and the world starts to open up more I think it gets a lot more interesting. The show being more lighthearted and having goofy characters like Mome and Jabby running around probably doesn’t help matters and the core trio of Kei, Mimshi and Slay are all really quite unlikable and horrible for a lot of the early run before they start bouncing off each other better. There’s also the stock footage issues and some of the more bizarre story elements like the ‘Emaan become barren after they hit 18’ and the sheer amount of cuckoldry going on that rubbed me, and I’m sure loads others, the wrong way. I think once Athena gets introduced is when the story starts picking up speed and the final rush of episodes once they get to Muu are really good
>the sheer amount of cuckoldry going on that rubbed me
>All that terrible opinions and taste
Go to Harmony Gold's office I bet you could get an internship and you can be their handjob boy.
>plus is shit
You'd probably really like Delta then. it's the only other series that has the tone of the original.
none of them really capture the same style & tone as the original, no
7 is my favorite
I want to try 7 before I leave Macross.
the recent ones look like girly fan-service crap so I won't bother
>DYRL is shit
debatable but whatever
>Plus is shit
I don't know what you were expecting from that show but most anons pissing their pants *definitely* won't help you if that's what you think
>Should I stop here
The rest of the show is incredibly polarizing, each a mutated shadow of the original, so honestly you're better off dead stopping or *heavily* reading into 7 and Frontier before deciding if you want to watch. I personally recommend 7 for the SOUL and banger music, but it's a fricking long haul compared to everything else
Watching all of Macross is not that big of a task it’s like watching 3 gundam shows at most
>just say things are shit or great with no elaboration or discussion
brilliant
