good episode. much needed character development
can't believe he turned down the tiny boss
I really loved this episode, don't know why everyone is shitting on it
Because it had moronic action sequences instead of jokes.
It reminded me of the Halloween party episode in terms of structure
I wouldn't say it's like that, Pim gets chased by a single monster
>don't know why everyone is shitting on it
They're not
People here were shitting all over it last night quite a bit but that’s just Cinemaphile for you. I liked it.
For me the joke is still funny but it's kind of wearing off. I accepted that anything can happen so it doesn't have the surprise factor of the first season. I think the tiny boss segment here is the exception, it really feels awkward and has you wondering what will come next.
But hey, it's only 10 min an episode and it never feels like it wastes time, so it's still ok.
Also I admit the twists are lazier than the first season, in S1 they all satirized the plot of the episode in clever ways, and I don't feel that here. But again I can't shit on a show that only lasts 10 minutes.
Link please? It's not on my usual place

why did the land lord orchestrate this?
because Alan is cool, I'd like to hang out with Alan too
Is zach fully writing this show?
First season was good but second has been a little boring ngl.
It lacks a bit of Michael's dry awkward humor. This season is much more focused on Zach's non sequitur weirdness.
I liked the wacky chase and the animation
the psychotic mexican cracks me up
shame cause Michael is my favorite of the two I just dont think Yolo Crystal Fantasy has the potential Smiling Friends has, bring back Damo and Darren barely cleaned up
Alan doesn't seem like the type to let someone wear shoes on his bed.
Also I really enjoyed the landlord bits I think they were the funniest of the episode. This season feels really different than the last one though and I think it has to do eith the higher budget coupled with the fact that Adult Swim is likely putting more interns and shit on their show to work on it. Also in regards to
was Michael focused on the new season of Yolo and did this make him unavailable for a lot of the creation of season 2 of Smiling Friends? I've never watched Yolo but I know it's Cusack's passion project and I think he would quit Smiling Friends before ending that.
Episode 3 had like 5 people on the writer's credits
None of them were Zach or Michael afaik
dirty brown water
me
the oneyplays cast are not your friends. you dont have to pretend to like their show.
I really dislike how they’ve suddenly started just making the secondary characters muppets. They’ve got stupid muppet mouths
his gf on the bed literally matches the painting on the wall behind Allen, amazing
Are they using the same animators and artists from other [as] shows like Rick & Morty and Bob's Burgers? This episode felt a lot like those shows and this screenshot in particular I wouldn't doubt is from one of them if Alan wasn't in there. It's too clean.
the action sequence was the worst part of the ep certainly but the mundane interactions with misc people in the world is exactly why I like smiling friends, its semi realistic and relatable and then they just add a touch of complete nonsense which is good but sometimes its too much
Worst episode yet. Seen this in other shows and it's always bad
>And then this crazy thing happens and then this happens and this happens
It's shit
Yeah it's very lazy le random
>HAHA BURNOUT DOMINATOR ON PS2 XD
Yeah these have all been pretty boring. The episodes all feel much smaller in scale and less immersive than season 1.
>this is not a flashback, i actually died
that was funny, the rest was just okay, not as offensively boring like some other people say
it's just that the "a day in the secondary character's life" type of plot feels like something that should be in the 4th season of a tv show. this show has only a handful of episodes and they're wasting it on this
Running out of ideas already?
BASKIN SLOP BASKIN SLOP BASKIN SLOPPA WITH A ROBERTS FUND!
i think this show peaked in season 1. the first episode was alright, and the president episode grew on me after watching it a few times, but this was just moronic
Mr Frog shouldn't have been on the previous episode, the campaign segment was hilarious but I can't believe they didn't use him at ALL in the rest of the episode. It feels like he was just there for fanservice.
It also called attention to how similar the episode was to the Mr. Frog episode structurally.
