There’s been 2 spider verse events, a movie and how many tv shows and there hasn’t ever been a gay one yet? Kind of shocked it took this long in current year.
They are making a new character instead of just making an existing one gay? Sounds good to me. They'll show up, proudly declare they are gay/bi/whatever, and then never show up again in future comics outside of being in the background of a large group.
