Poochie and pansie is really not his best, he seemingly didn't understand that the second video was reuploaded, and didn't go all that in-depth about the Gangadiddle hunt. But his series on Disturbing Youtube Channels/Videos is kino. They may not look like much since they're all so short, but surprisingly they're still insightful and informative. And they don't have any fat, it's just him talking about cool mysterious spooky videos, what they could mean and what mysteries surround them. He tried to bring the series back after his comeback last year, but it seems like it didn't get traction so he abandoned it, which is a shame. His new content is alright i guess, inserting his mug into the videos kind of ruins the old charm of just digging some mysterious internet shit up and trying to make sense of it, and I hate that he changed the old comfy intro.

Its a horror series about a girl experiencing scarey things. There are many connections to the early 2000s popular culture like the girl being a goth, the artstyle being aking to Johan Vasquez' work and more covered later. The videos are Silent and very abstract which begs the viewer to makes sense of it. We will break down the basics then move to the nuances.
Many of the videos are references to popular things in horror movies, videogames, and shirt stories. The oldest references are Nightmare on Elmstreet, Jinji Ito Manga, scarey short stories you find on the internet, but most often it's a reference to Silent Hill a series that peaked in the 2000s. Nia often encounters a separate reality like her mundane life but darker, dirtier, and contorted monsters are everywhere. Also like SH Nia encounters this separate world when she is in an asylum or falls asleep. Often when she is in this separate world she is tortured and killed. If there is continuity with all the videos then the deaths are not fatal in this dreamworld but bad enough to disturb her or the videos can be disconnected and Nia is just a consummate protagonist, being in stories where she often dies and it does not affect the others.
The more nuanced references to 2000 many will miss are things you dont know unless you experienced newgrounds on a 28k connection. The bit rate is very low and scaled up so there are lots of artifacts, the sound is intense compressed and often has to be tweeked by fans to make audible, and the play times are never going passed 20 seconds. If you were in 2000s these were the standards you would see for most videos, especially horror cartoons youd see on newgrounds. Horror in this era was becoming more punchy with shock cuts and sudden flashes of disturbing images. Horror was now embracing fast things and throwing viewers in scenes without explanation. it's a mainstay today but that was when it seeped into pop cultre.
The next section is the actual content or "the meat."
In many videos it appears that these are all nightmares as suggest by the title I Cant Sleep however there are times when things happen outside Nia's perspective or to other people. This suggests that these events are not just dreams and happen but happen to Nia in particular or that she is aware. Further, just as there are connotation that there is a SH like nightmare dimension there are suggestions that there is a different Nia. Spher having two shadows, her having a ghastly appearance suddenly and sometimes Nia sees this other Nia doing things. Often this other Nia is seen associated with a character in a long jacket, hood, and leather gloves. The obvious comparison is that he is the Grim Reaper and he follows Nia and the other Nia for unknown reasons. Sometimes he tortures her, sometimes follows, sometimes leads her around. This other Nia has interactions we another character implied to be someone she knows from her time in an asylum, unlike Nia she is a shown to be a cold blooded killer.
ICantSleep is a nuanced horror series but that's it, it's a horror series. It takes many clitpches and things from a period of time that has been recent enough to be forgotten, not old enough to be remembered, and set the stones for what are standards for horror today. People think it is a very elaborate cry for help but it is not, its evocative horror that is effective in what these mechanisms in the new horror genre were made to do.

Things like discord servers and other sites die out and come and go. Discords get nuked and tons of info/images lost. Makes me wonder if new artist are going to have a much harder time being seen

Honestly if it weren't for the peeing in the impaling video I feel like this series would be in the clear. The rape stuff is just a pieced together theory and nothing implies Nia isn't an adult regardless. I’m not entirely convinced. This guy’s art seems a lot more amateurish, and judging by his VK (linked on the channel, still active) it’s still more or less the same. The art style similarities are just because this particular style was everywhere in the 2000s, but ICS is better at recreating it. I do believe it’s just some russian dude, but not this one.
Sure, but I don't think of an artist like him it'll be hard to just tweak his art style a bit so that it wouldn't be super easy to recognize him, also ICS art is mostly uploaded in extremely shitty quality, so it's hard to full compare.

To be fair this isn't just a 'secrit club ' thing, a lot of these small YouTube projects end up slowing down or going dark when they get a sudden influx of attention out of nowhere. Creators who were just putting things out for fun can suddenly face a lot of pressure at once and not know how to meet expectations of fans once all eyes are on them.
It all depends on the creator. The attention could also turn out to be positive thing if it brings struggling creators more money. I remember people on Cinemaphile were seething when weeb tuber made video about Fear and Hunger. That video gave that indie developer free advisement that lead to more sales.

Its a horror series about a girl experiencing scarey things. There are many connections to the early 2000s popular culture like the girl being a goth, the artstyle being aking to Johan Vasquez' work and more covered later. The videos are Silent and very abstract which begs the viewer to makes sense of it. We will break down the basics then move to the nuances.
Many of the videos are references to popular things in horror movies, videogames, and shirt stories. The oldest references are Nightmare on Elmstreet, Jinji Ito Manga, scarey short stories you find on the internet, but most often it's a reference to Silent Hill a series that peaked in the 2000s. Nia often encounters a separate reality like her mundane life but darker, dirtier, and contorted monsters are everywhere. Also like SH Nia encounters this separate world when she is in an asylum or falls asleep. Often when she is in this separate world she is tortured and killed. If there is continuity with all the videos then the deaths are not fatal in this dreamworld but bad enough to disturb her or the videos can be disconnected and Nia is just a consummate protagonist, being in stories where she often dies and it does not affect the others.
The more nuanced references to 2000 many will miss are things you dont know unless you experienced newgrounds on a 28k connection. The bit rate is very low and scaled up so there are lots of artifacts, the sound is intense compressed and often has to be tweeked by fans to make audible, and the play times are never going passed 20 seconds. If you were in 2000s these were the standards you would see for most videos, especially horror cartoons youd see on newgrounds. Horror in this era was becoming more punchy with shock cuts and sudden flashes of disturbing images. Horror was now embracing fast things and throwing viewers in scenes without explanation. it's a mainstay today but that was when it seeped into pop cultre.

The next section is the actual content or "the meat."
In many videos it appears that these are all nightmares as suggest by the title I Cant Sleep however there are times when things happen outside Nia's perspective or to other people. This suggests that these events are not just dreams and happen but happen to Nia in particular or that she is aware. Further, just as there are connotation that there is a SH like nightmare dimension there are suggestions that there is a different Nia. Spher having two shadows, her having a ghastly appearance suddenly and sometimes Nia sees this other Nia doing things. Often this other Nia is seen associated with a character in a long jacket, hood, and leather gloves. The obvious comparison is that he is the Grim Reaper and he follows Nia and the other Nia for unknown reasons. Sometimes he tortures her, sometimes follows, sometimes leads her around. This other Nia has interactions we another character implied to be someone she knows from her time in an asylum, unlike Nia she is a shown to be a cold blooded killer.
ICantSleep is a nuanced horror series but that's it, it's a horror series. It takes many clitpches and things from a period of time that has been recent enough to be forgotten, not old enough to be remembered, and set the stones for what are standards for horror today. People think it is a very elaborate cry for help but it is not, its evocative horror that is effective in what these mechanisms in the new horror genre were made to do.

I’m not entirely convinced. This guy’s art seems a lot more amateurish, and judging by his VK (linked on the channel, still active) it’s still more or less the same. The art style similarities are just because this particular style was everywhere in the 2000s, but ICS is better at recreating it. I do believe it’s just some russian dude, but not this one.
Sure, but I don't think of an artist like him it'll be hard to just tweak his art style a bit so that it wouldn't be super easy to recognize him, also ICS art is mostly uploaded in extremely shitty quality, so it's hard to full compare.

It all depends on the creator. The attention could also turn out to be positive thing if it brings struggling creators more money.
