I think Goodfellas is pretty historically accurate except for the obvious exaggerated Hollywoodization of the drama and the fact that most of the real life characters are not very attractive compared to their actor counterparts. You can tell Henry Hill was the type who had to rely on his charisma rather than his looks
absolutely. sometimes compressing/combining certain events and people bothers me in movies but with others (Goodfellas, Black Mass for example) they do it so well that it works

Was Black Mass any good? How accurate was it?

I went into it expecting garbage after reading "Whitey", overall I really liked it. Damon was kino. Not a Cumberbunch fan but he did well. Edgerton was too annoying but it didn't detract imo. I wish they had been able to show more of his life, like his early bank robberies, time at Alcatraz, and life on the run in the 90's/00's but there was only so much you could fit in there so I get it.

He was in this?

Yeah, plays Billy Bulger. Looks enough like him and does a decent Boston accent to pull it off. You don't see too much of him so it works.
After a certain point, people stop caring (caring to track you down and kill you, that is). Sammy The Bull went straight back to living in the open and committing crime. No one ever came to shoot him.
The mafia was weaker and less spread out like it used to be too. But there's plenty of snitches or people who are inconvenient who still get killed in other gangs.
He fricked up Witness protection too and was still a cokehead and dealt a bit. His wife was still a frickup too, but she eventually split.
Unironically kinda based. If you're gonna be a rat you might as well be the ballsiest, loudest, unapologetic rat you can be.
I wonder if it was a gambit. RICO fricking the mob's collective shit up definitely helped save him, but being as public as he was probably didn't hurt. He was so outspoken that no unnatural death would have been subtle.
>implying
your crispy pork belly with sweet rice cant compete with chicken and rice, chicken a la king, wild rice soup, paella or red beans and rice, chang
He was relatively normal, but intentionally walked into shit. He had a mom and dad (albeit one who beat him). But "as far as I remember, I always wanted to be a gangster".
I got mistaken for one just because I was a pothead who hung around some friends with Mexican mafia hookups. They got raided at one point, and just because I was an outsider, I was accused of being a rat. You do not want that. I'm lucky I'm alive and was able to be "logical" with them. I'd be a gore video on this site, if I wasn't.
I could say logic like I did above, and it's true. But it was also the first time I really prayed. Not trying to be preachy or anything, but maybe God had my back.
But he was right, having a regular 9-5 normie job is fricking soul crushing.
That was also the only redeeming factor of the gay arc in Sopranos, with that scene where he realised there was no way he could live as some fricking Peon, constantly wilting under a clock. Its almost better to just get whacked instead.
>witness protection
>normal
have fun sleeping with one eye open and a knife under the pillow, punk
The real henry Hill got shitfaced on Stern while bragging about being a rat.
He fricked up Witness protection too and was still a cokehead and dealt a bit. His wife was still a frickup too, but she eventually split.
>His wife
she was getting balled by this looker behind his back too

The real henry was signing cookbooks in the open like he begged to be clipped. He was a fricking idiot

If it wasn't for RICO completely dismantling the mafia, Hill would have died full of holes rather than from heart disease.
People in witness protection are extremely super fricking hard to find. Why do you think they call it "witness protection"?
Real life isn't like the movies. It's nearly impossible (except for a few rare cases) to find them.
>Misses the point of the movie
Go watch some capeshit.
>ketchup on spaghetti
Was this literal or was he calling out canned pasta sauces as spaghetti?
yes
It's like me being Asian and laughing at the soggy rice slop that white people make.

>egg noodles and ketchup
>normal
just go to the store and buy spaghetti and marinara?
What if they don't sell it in White People, Idaho?
I eat spaghetti all the time here in White People, Idaho.
wtf is shnook?
>ketchup on egg noodles
That's against the geneva convention
Yeah when you're whole life up to that point was about non stop excitement. A normal life can seem like hell
People with normal lives want better lives. And people with shit lives want normal lives.
He was relatively normal, but intentionally walked into shit. He had a mom and dad (albeit one who beat him). But "as far as I remember, I always wanted to be a gangster".
Being a rat is based if you think about it logically.

How did you convince them you weren’t?

>Average Cinemaphilener shits on wagies constantly
>Also idolizes them in the same breath
Clearly hes not average if hes disagreeing with the commonly expressed disdain for wagies you moron
Bamp
>Mr. Angelo?
>Spells it out
Nice job, zoom zoom.
>maxresdefault(28)
I don't see the problem?
Yeah wageslaveing is fricking shit. If there wasn't autism bux here I'd be a criminal too. Nothing could get me to get a job.
I'm tired of this moronic zoomer pattern.
What pattern?
