or the inbetweens are drawn by South Koreans like most animated shows are and NK is intercepting internet comms between SK and the US

Yea, and as we all know, South Koreans get all their instructions for animation written in Chinese and then translated into Korean.

          Anon, are you moronic?
You do know that NK and China have had a very long-standing working relationship for like the past 80 years, right (with the exception of some recent debacles)?
The article even states that the servers where the files were located were accessed almost exclusively by North Korean and northeast Chinese addresses.

and you think this proves NK was animating a cartoon?

I don't see why not, this wouldn't even be the first time SK has outsourced animation work to NK.

Not even surprised, that animation was janky as hell. Bezos can't even be bothered to outsource to firstie studios.

a know a lot of shows get sent to korea to get animated but I didn't know south koreans used north korean labor in the process at all. seems like a big problem on their side.

I don't know too much about the Koreas but I know ROK wouldn't do that. They can do it fine themselves, they're also rich and first world while being the envy of their neighbors so why would we need North Koreans? Doesn't add up, it would only make them look bad.

I mean its fricking odd that somehow a U.S company could somehow directly contact North Korea so I'm only just assuming it must have been from the south side contacting the north.

SK companies don't farm out NK workers for anything, except in the Kaesong Industrial Region because to do so would be PR, political and legal suicide
Chinese (both mainland and taiwan) however do it and a lot of animation is outsourced to mainland/taiwan (who are doublesourcing it to NK in some cases, which can be illegal)

Animation shows have been outsourced to South Korea since the last 20 years minimum, even anime. This news is about they are not outsourcing to North Korea or that North Korea steal South Korea animation companies storyboards?

    This really doesn't surprise me.
North Korea literally can't defeat globalization. All the tanks and jets and nukes in the world can't dim the juicy fricking prospect that is 26 million literate Asians who live on average incomes of $75 a month.

The global economy is now in a bizarre scrambling outsourcing cycle where it's seeking new shitholes, anywhere, to wrangle slave labor because the arrogant slaves in the previous generation's shitholes have started demanding $5 an hour
