The kids nearly get smashed a truck in one of the Halloween episodes, and Bob is almost cremated. But yeah, probably the most movie the movie could be. I don't know what the Simpsons even did
That's why I stopped watching it. I really enjoyed the first few seasons, but now it just feels like the same stories being repeated but even more bland. Also all the Belchers just feel like their annoying traits are dialed up to 11 except for Bob.
Pretty much. You can completely skip over it in terms of impact to the status quo. They should’ve gone to some exotic new location or taken a road trip or something.
So you're saying Godfather is a long episode of the Godfather tv series and added nothing that strayed from the original? and so was Independence Day the movie and also Superbad the movie?
I just watched it like an hour ago. It was pretty good. Nothing ground breaking but enjoyable. They didn't go crazy with the songs so it wasn't overbearing. Solid mindless fun. Though the scene in the car, Jesus...and I was worried Tina's boy crazy b plot would be terrible, but I think they've caught on less is more there.
Of course since this is co people are gonna rage because it didn't fit their ultra specific criteria that would make it groundbreaking. I swear for a place all about a certain form of entertainment you would swear they were clinically incapable of enjoying things.
Like every other movie based on an animated series yea
Nah, Rugrats, Casper, both Beavis and Butt-heads and even TTG had uncommon elements from their own shows
it was nice, i liked it
The Belchers don’t almost get buried alive in a car in an average episode. That shit was fricked

Notice how all of these examples are from Seasons 1-3. The show has definitely lost its edge at this point so the movie was refreshing
it's so plain and almost formulaic that i don't know which ep is from what. I really dont understand what carries this entire series.

Bob was nearly devoured by a giant mechanical shark in one episode, them surviving threat of near death is normal.
The Belchers sound like a bunch of bad assets when you put it that way.
the plot of the movie was just the season 4 finale but bigger.
it was still good but it hardly broke new ground.
Bob almost drowned under the pier before.
It's agreed that the movie was an enhanced Wharf Horse
The animation alone made it worth seeing in the theater. I don't care how many shadow memes normies make
It was like "Wharf Horse" in writing quality.
Why the frick isn't Fanny in jail? I know Felix is a nincompoop but Fanny served her purpose.
Having post Get Out Peele in your movie is too good to pass up.
I'd rather have Bill Hader.
>Movie can get fricking Ant-Man to do 3 lines as a horse
>Still had to replace Hader
Even weirder considering he was in Lightyear.
Good.
Yeah, liked it a lot.
tbh that's all I want in an animated movie.
Maybe for a TV movie

You wouldn't get a sequence with sophisticate use of space, action, animation, as the chase beneath the wonder wharf in a regular episode.
But this movie has everything you said, anon do you know what you're talking about?
Reading comprehension motherfricker
What were you expecting? Its fricking sitcom about a israelite who flips burgers. Not allot of room for high art.
It's high quality, not simpsons movie tier animation, but it's really good. Bobs Burger the show looked better than FG and Simpsons anyway
>[flash animated cartoon] looked better than [the hand-drawn ones] anyway
Anon what are you talking about? Bobs Burgers was hand drawn
>It WAS just a long episode with shading and more frames of animation
If your mindset is like that all movies are just long episodes or pilots.
op is dumb

That’s honestly good though, when a Movie based on a show gets too big in scope it fricks up the series (I.e. Recess, Doug, Rugrats).
>with shading
Yes
>more frames of animation
No
Its rated PG-13, but could have easily been PG.
