Solo will tough to beat. They literally filmed the movie twice back to back after replacing directors. Factoring inflation they spent $345 million on the production budget alone. Almost certainly half a billion after marketing. Then couldn't even make $400 million worldwide. Absolute disaster.
It was alright. Acting was fine, effects looked fine, story was forgettable but the chemistry was fine. It was just fine. Highlight was probably Han meeting Chewbacca and speaking Wookie.
Actors in general have gotten more and more unappealing. Every time I see an article on the next generation of "stars" I have to fight back the urge to vomit.
I thought parts of it were actually quite good too, or rather very Star Warsy, in spite of its disastrous development.
I think it was a mistake to release the film after TLJ, it took a huge audience apathy hit.
