Playing Arkham Origins as I’m going through the whole series. Happy to play it during the Holidays, fitting for the Christmas theme of the game. The Deathstroke boss fight was kino. I like Origins better than City.
I like Origins too
I liked Origins because it was the first game to let you explore Gotham (and not a run down Gotham hastily turned into a prison facility.) I think it made up for reusing the map from Arkham City by expanding on it and adding whole new locations like the bridge.

I think they're very even, I can replay either one any time and I'll feel like it's my favorite. But I think City just barely edges it out due to having more characters to play, better upgrade system (Origins completely fricked that, although the shock gloves kinda make up for it) and the voices of Conroy and Hamill. Not the voice actors in Origins were bad or anything.
same here im glad people are agreeing it gave me my favorite rendition of Bane
i wish Deathstroke didn't get eliminated so early he should be been the rival character
Origins is underrated tbh
It's main failing is the bugs, the lack of gameplay innovation, and the Joker plot twist. Putting those aside, it's a solidly pretty good game with a nice take on a young Batman story and some great boss fights.
Its story also makes more sense than City's does

The thugs are correct. Penguin has that accent just to sound tougher.
Penguin with the bottle in his skull is one of the Arkham designs I do not enjoy.

Origins needs a modern console port badly. The ps3/360 version had some nasty slowdown due to the winter weather in parts.
I'd also love full ps5 patches for asylum/city/knight to give them full 60fps modes and HDR.

Origins at 120fps on PC on full ultra settings looks gorgeous and still holds up really well.
It's a damn shame WB is almost pretending it didn't happen. The winter Christmas setting is absolute kino.
