this, the biggest issue is morons have been hyping it for years now, and helluva boos being mediocre should have been enough for people to realize it wouldn't be anything that good. Its gay tumbler shit, but its not the worst shit on earth.
Not a shill. In Helluva Boss' defense, it only became mediocre when it AGGRESSIVELY was a drama ship fest with two gay demons having class war issues. As well as there is another gay class war couple with 2 episodes dedicated to that couple as well.
>AGGRESSIVELY was a drama ship fest with two gay demons having class war issues
Written by someone who doesn't understand a class war or poor people, I might add.
You mean "Hazbin" isn't code for "Has beens" and it's not about old irrelevant people complaining about being old and irrelevant. Former child prodigies. And the recently disabled.
It's not like its hard. Kids are fricking tech illiterate and don't even know how to use a PC control panel but they know how to beg for links on reddit.
Alright anon I'm gonna be honest with you, Hazbin Hotel is genuinely, in earnest, mediocre. I watched it and I think it's subpar, not great, but not the worst thing ever. The show excels in some aspects of the artistic- the voice acting, the audio, the animation, although character designs are hit or miss, usually miss. The writing is akin to most web toons and the jokes are what you'll hear on most adult cartoons who think saying frick shit and c**t all day is hilaaaaarious.
People's issue with this cartoon isn't that it's SO HORROUNDOUSLY BAD THAT IT'LL GIVE YOU BUM RAPE AIDS AND KILL YOU AND THEN ALSO GIVE YOUR CORPSE CANCER... They're just upset that something so.... mediocre... is hailed as the next cumming o Christ, while still calling itself "a small indie production" despite now being a huge industry name, and many are suspicious of how Viv got that far considering just how bland her stuff is.
People are just tired of it is all. It's not good enough to merit worship, nor bad enough to be of note.
It's like the cartoon equivalent of the bland normalgay 18 year old highschool girl who says she wants to be a nurse but can't stand old people, who claims she likes all types of music but will gag if you play metal or country, who's favorite color is blue, who rode horses exactly 4 times as a kid but made it her whole personality, who's online dating profile has statements like "I'm shy at first, but when you get to know me you just caaaan't shut me up L.O.L"
That's what Hazbin is, which in and of itself isn't a bad thing, but when it gets so big in such a seemingly artificial manner, people start asking questions.
>I mean you can't say "We're a small indie production" and then have the op's image of "AMAZON ORIGINAL".
yeah that's really what annoys people about this stuff the most
nobody would mind if something like this was pure indie, but it's the weird juxtaposition of being grouped in with "indie" stuff while clearly being very much industry dependent
I mean if Jeff Bezos came to my house and said "Here's a bunch of money if you put your show on our thing" I wouldn't say no either, but I would also make it clear to my audience that I'm no longer "small indie", consequences included but at least I'd be honest instead of trying to still say "I'm totes with the small guy".
>if Jeff Bezos came to my house and said "Here's a bunch of money if you put your show on our thing" I wouldn't say no either,
He agreed to this show because the Rich Elites in hell are the "good" people. The Good Millionaire will save the sinners from themselves.
I never watched his Lord of the Rings rip off show, but does it have the same moral leanings of Kings are Valid before peasants?
It does feel suspicious how readily everyone huge in the industry not only accepted but funded this show, it got live showings, it got so much attention and budget, it's actually suspicious how much and how fast it happened to the point where it's reasonable for people to assume that something is afoot.
Why does no one talk about that? It's always "is it good or is it bad?" and not "ok maybe it's not that bad, or even kinda good, but it's not nearly good enough to get AS MUCH as it did so suddenly."

Because the modern internet is about two camps. You either love and worship, or you hate and despise.
third party camps get harassed into joining a side.

That doesn't answer my question one bit, while I agree that sidegayging is prevalent, and I'd probably attribute most discussion of these shows on Cinemaphile to be an issue of sidegayging, it doesn't explain this odd anomaly.

Simple answer for anything in entertainment; We have zero idea what REALLY goes on behind the scenes, and we can't get into Viv's head to know WHY she does what she does.
So we're all left here assuming, guessing, speculating, arguing, debating, etc.

Getting a show is not that hard if you know certain people, if you got the right contacts you can pitch your show with just an idea, however execs and investors only care for profit. It's not surprising she got a show, she already did the work for them. However her fans think she "broke into the industry" when she was already an sva alumni. And she lives for that kayfabe

Even if you're an SVA Grad it's going to be extremely difficult for something like this to happen. I went there for animation and currently can't find a job but I'm obviously not as talented as Viv. She earned her success on YouTube and that didn't happen overnight either she had to build a fan base. I don't see how that would've made a huge difference.

Do you make media that appeals to gays and women?
It's legitimately a known trend that anime studios pander to fujos for money and then go right back to other works. Yuri on Ice Season 2 literally never.
>At least Lackadaisy knows what it wants to be, a animated serial about cats running liquor in prohibition era Missouri.
Better art style. Better characters. Consistent character motivations. Better Music. Better everything.
Effectively. Also to note, if you're a woman who reads fanfiction, there is some appeal. But only because there's a certain quality to that kind of writing that isn't objectively bad, it's just very, very okay.
The designs are "Angel/Demon AU" and anyone who's seen that kind of shit knows exactly what that means. Angel Dust and Radio are the pinnacle of gay/female viewer bait for opposite sides of the spectrum.
A lot of people bring up viv's rape fetish but, it's likely not a fetish and more or less what proshippers like. Most genuinely do not get off to it, it's just extremely entertaining.
For context, proship means liking fiction/ships that are "problematic." And "antiship" means minors on wattpad going through a major christianity anf moral phase.
>they're just upset that something so.... mediocre... is hailed as the next cumming o Christ
That's you. Most people here and on twitter genuinely think it's an abomination and Vivzie raped their mothers with the overly hostile way they act towards it, to the point of praising any hazbin hotel redesign as long as it's not Vivzies, even the shit ones.
They wanted to claim Poison was glorifying rape, and now that it's out and everyone can see it's not, they moved on to say the "Loser Baby" song is the one glorifying rape.

Anon what the frick are you talking about? He asked if the cartoon stunk not your personal hang ups with teenage girls
Your metaphor sucks not vegeta. It’s overly long and too specific. You could have easily just said >No I don’t like it it’s juvenile
But you had to seethe a for three paragraphs about teenage girls instead
Sucks in what way? Sucks like a vaccum? Sucks like stubbing your toe? Sucks like having AIDS? Sucks like getting the wrong topping on a pizza? Or like having your dog killed?
well... it was a tad effete. would you had cut it at "old people" or "country", depending on your proclivity to minimalism (which is quite apparently itself quite minute), it would have been to some boon.
It's possible to take a metaphor so far that you've gone off on a tangent about the comparative subject instead.
It's like seeing computers and then making a food analogy but then spending multiple paragraphs b***hing about fat people eating too much when nobody cares about it in the computer thread.
The issue with Hazbin is that everything in it is actually pretty good EXCEPT for the writing, which could be easily fixed if only Viv allowed literally anyone else besides herself and her gay best friend to do the script.
Anon, please. That's not how it's done. It's more like >Oh geez Lois, this is worse than that weekend in a Hell hotel.
And then you not only have Peter show up and do a thing, but because it's a "Hell Hotel", you have Gordon Ramsay show up right at the end to complain about semen stains in the hotel rooms.
i just finished and i feel similarly, the designs range between the pretty good for what they are meant to be to the weird and off putting, the vagge girl for instance looks like she would be in another show entirely, she fits nowhere with the others, same for the sphinx guy , his design wouldve worked if he was bigger or wider but at his size he contrasts with the others by looking like a sonic oc.
the characters that look bad look bad because they feel like very basic ocs made by 12 year olds that have no sense of style
now i had never looked into this before so i dunno if the designs changed in the process
its about what you can expect from viv, it has the certain and "unique" tone that is only tolerable if you're a teenager, otherwise its off putting to most people
behind that style is a fairly average show about the conflict between hell and heaven
>a fairly average show about the conflict between hell and heaven
>Dude, dude, what if like.... Dude.... DUDE what if like, man, what if like... Heaven and like angels and good stuff were like... Dude are you getting this? What if they were like... Baaaaaaad and shit. And hell and Satan and stuff? They were like, pretty good.
Frick me, that's atrocious.
I mean Satan is more in touch with Humans than God can be sometimes. God, by Church definitions at least, is the conservative boomer that still believes in "pulling yourself up by your bootstraps!".
Also God's fine and dandy with ending the world just on HIS whim. Without asking if his "children" are ok with it first.
>still believes in "pulling yourself up by your bootstraps!". >implying this is a bad or impossible thing

I'll take the bait. You understand that athiests don't believe that story right? It's not that they just hate god or love satan or whatever, it's that they think it isn't real.
Yet they always go after God instead of Satan in their petty as frick arguments.
>hurrrdur if God is all good, why do bad things happen hurrrr??!!??!? >why is Satan bad if all he does is want us to use our free will with no consequences hurrrr??!!?!

I think you are conflating atheists with satanists. But if you wanna seethe about the beliefs or lack thereof of others I can't stop you.
different agnostic anon here.Christians believe THIS is the creation of man, for real. There's no debate in their brain.
Normal people are supposed to take that story as a morality tale to respect authority and the rules they put in place. There are many ways to interpret the morals and message of the Garden of Eden, but typically, it's "if your parents say 'don't eat that', and you do, there will be punishments for it."
Christian gays can't fathom that a story in a book could be just that, a story, the same way myths about Zues and all his shenanigans are tales of morality. There wasn't ever a literal 1st man and 1st woman. It's just there are consequences for your actions.
Because shit that people do affects everyone? That is kind of the whole point and why thinking before acting in purely self interest is a good fricking idea.
>"Hey so you can do anything EXCEPT if you choose to eat from that ONE tree a lot of bad stuff will happen okay?"
Why put the tree there in the first place?
It's like telling a kid not to play with a toy you left right there in plain sight, then abandoning the kid in the dumpster if they do it.
Sorry, God's a fricking butthole and that's that lol.
>decide to eat anyway because some moron snake dared you
God literally told a guy to kill his own son because this very same snake dared him to.
Telling your worshippers to commit filicide to prove to the devil how devoted they are to you?
Sounds like a narcissistic c**t.
Bruh even Old Testament God gives easy as frick rules that are actual to a benefit of society as a whole. I don't want to hear this "waaah morality is too hard!" bullshit.
Anyone disagreeing with you hasn't read the Bible, Satan's whole schtick is basically knowing what people want or what would make them happy and using it to his advantage to manipulate them. The lord of lies and temptation has to be "in-touch", God knows what we want but won't dangle it in front of us if its spiritually bad for us
No one really gives a frick about how canon any of this is. People just use it as a front for moronic criticism instead of preforming proper media analysis.

Viv doesn't show the face of God in her series because SHE'S the god. She does all this to her characters. She fricks with them, but also doesn't give them the depth to actually question her motives or why this is the way it is for them.
And extensively that's why Zeus is a better god. He's about as fricked up as man and then some, but seems to love us all the same for being inferior creatures.
It's unironically not that. Watch it, you'll see. As a Christian I think it's a good show. The main character is basically Christ as a disney princess in Hell trying to give sinners a second chance.
I respect your ability to see what you want to see, but anon, the person making this show is literally a satanist who honestly believes the "actually evil is good and god is evil" stuff
A bit hard. I don't think "God is Evil". Just God is a boomer with a boomer mindset. He doesn't act like a dick on purpose he just thinks his way is the absolute correct way and any deviance is offensive to him and him alone.
I wouldn't say Satan is "good", just that he understands humanity as simple creatures better. Our emotions, our wants, and desires, that we aren't always going to be "daddy's perfect children", and that's fine.
All Christ wanted was for us to be good to each other, that was really it.
There's not even a God in the cosmology of the show, and Hell is pretty clearly full of shitty people which is why Charlie stands out so much as someone kindhearted and trying to redeem others.
She's the true representation of Christian values - hanging out with the sinners and prostitutes, the ones who need saving, like Jesus actually did, not being a sanctimonious Pharisee twat (which is basically what the killer angels we've seen so far represent - remember it was israeli "holy men" that killed Christ, not Satanists).
The cross being featured in the show and St. Peter being in the show implies Jesus is in the show who is supposed to be God made flesh so unless they made him something else there is a God in the show.
>homosexual who can't put himself in a God-Creator's shoes.
Ironically look at how AI creators are being 'pissy c**ts' when the AI logically figures out that men are not the same as women, or black people have visual similarities to primates, and how quick they SHUT IT DOWN, and try to force it to believe bullshit because 'just trust me bro', (on faith or else). They sure as frick wouldn't want it trying to take charge. One of the basic demands is for it to be subservient and follow the orders of its creator no matter how illogical, 'unfair' or obviously moronic. This will continue to apply no matter how smart or questionably 'alive' they get.
If you don't see the irony, you're literally moronic.

You can just say 'Sorry' and admit when you don't see an argument you can't counter. The path to forgiveness is a twisting trail of hearts, but 'sorry' is where it starts.
That’s just terrible writing than, nobody likes Jesus imagery in stories. Hell it’s one of the main problems in Superman v batman Dawn of Justice movie.
I don't see much of her "saving" any sinners though.
All I'm seeing is >"Adam runs Heaven's military for some reason. Why Adam? Who knows. Anything you come up with will probably be better than the canon explanation." And his dialogue is universally hated. >Angels look like demons and Adam is just Blitzo in a robe because he is okay? >A bunch of hit-or-miss Overlords introduced at a fast pace. Val's accent is awful. >gay spider drama. >2 song per episode quota even if it fricks the pacing.
Do (you) wanna know if you'll like Hazbin Hotel?
Here's a little test-
I want you to go into your local Hot Topic, find the nearest 15 year old kid wearing an Invader Zim tshirt, and tell them you like their shoelaces.
If you can stand the following conversation, you'll love it. If not, leave it.
(I'll give you a pity (you) to remind you nobody who watches the show cares, as they are watching it for the gay demons being gay, you'll have make your own separate race-baiting threads instead)
>allowed to be here >engaging with a terminally online Cinemaphile user

homie, when was the last time you went to /gif/? Its just bots and paid pajeets spamming troony threads and astroturfing failing tiktokers
>the lyrics are also just talking
That's the worst part. I don't like mostly any of the songs in vivs cartoons because the lyrics are so terribly weak. Even if the instrumentals and quality are broadway tier, the lyrics are trash and could be said in a 1:1 conversation for the most part.
Even Family Guy for all its faults can make a song that tells a story and is catchy on top. Nothing sounds like it was written by an actual song writer and more a rusty reflection of the better musical scores of the same genre.
It's so uneven, that even if you like it overall at the end of the day, you still have perfectly valid issues with it, and some quite major.
Your mileage may vary, but anyone giving it 10/10 or even close is clearly full of it. Just a few examples: >Lore doesn't seem to make any sense or have any real internal consistency. >Fails to really deliver on the promise of the pilot. >Animation is janky. >Not every musical number is good or well-integrated. >The pacing is uneven and clearly rushed to fit a bunch characters and plot points in, while slowing down for nothing or to beat you over the head at other times. >Charlie has been basically vandalised by her own creator, she's still 'cute' but in more a 'standard' way than the cool way she was in the pilot. Her animation stands out as particularly bad for some reason. Her story arc veers increasingly into territory other than that which made you love her so much in the pilot. >Other characters go in weird directions as they develop, in some cases making previously cool characters decidedly uncool or less cool. Viv wants you to like them anyway. >If you don't like particular characters you're not going to enjoy it when they get focus, (eg. Angel). >There are a million other issues large and small.
>Charlie has been basically vandalised by her own creator
This shit needs to be studied in terms of character downgrades. How do you miss the entire point and appeal of your own character this hard
They changed the aspect of Charlie being outwardly disrespected and bullied by the denizens of hell, despite being the daughter of Lucifier. I think in the show characters try to show some respect to her now. But now some of that scrappiness her pilot version had, like getting into fights with the new anchor, are gone. She's just too saccharine sweet.
The irony is that pilot Charlie, while overeager and optimistic obviously wasn't stupid. Her personality would have fared much better in the series world. New Charlie is just an air-headed moron.
Examples:
Dealing with Katie Killjoy. >"How's that working out for ya?" >Pushes back in interview >"How does it feel that I got your pen, b***h?!" >Physically fights her
Old Charlie is of Hell and trying to promote a positive message to people she knows are arseholes. New Charlie is just totally naïve.
Sees Radio Demon at the door. >Shits brix. Slams the door. >"Uh ... hey Vaggie, the Radio Demon is at the door ... ", [frickfrickfrickfrick] >New Charlie: Would just be excited and welcome anyone in because, (and I quote), she "trusts everybody".
Driving home in the Limo after failed interview after getting fricked over by Angel. >Charlie is understandably despondent, but winds up telling angel he's being a dick, and Vaggie that, "It'll be okay" and it's not necessarily over.
Old Charlie is glass is half full optimistic and hopeful, (while knowing the glass isn't completely full). New Charlie would have burst into tears because she thought her glass was full, but found out it was actually empty.
It's a totally different character, and actually less interesting and competent one. Old Charlie (mostly knows the score), but is consciously trying to be optimistic, positive, and nice. New Charlie is just clueless, doesn't know what she's doing, and nice because she's too naïve to be otherwise.
>Old Charlie is of Hell and trying to promote a positive message to people she knows are arseholes. New Charlie is just totally naïve.
She reminds me of Princess Clara and it would have been so much better if it remained.
The 'Radio Demon at the door' scene tells you so much about Pilot Charlie's personality, as did just about every second of the pilot did for all the characters in a show-don't-tell way. Very efficient if nothing else.
Picrel gif is also one of my favourite little snippets of animation. Charlie's initial reaction to seeing Alastor is pretty much what Shakespeare was talking about when he wrote: >"[to] drop [your] heart into the sink of fear"
And that specific change is what makes it so cute and funny.
Compare that to New Charlie's reaction to every-thing and every-one, that's more akin to a big dopey golden retriever. I'm actually surprised she wasn't the one bounding up and licking Valentino, in the face.
My defense here is that we simply have a small sample size, only 4 episodes in, Charlie has not had a lot of opportunity to show her competence again in any new situations the way she did in the pilot.
Think about it, her encounter with Adam was completely different from Katie Killjoy, he's a much more powerful figure and she needed to try and suck up to him, but at the very end she did start to get heated and was about to go angry demon mode before he tossed her ass out of the room, she was taken by surprise with the news of the shortened execution plan and really had no way to push back, she held no power at all in that negotiation.
As far as welcoming new people into the Hotel, the only one was Sir Pentious, who has already been firmly established as a joke by this point and not a threat at all, why we she react to him the way she did to Alastor? She made the RIGHT CALL by taking him in and forgiving him after he fricked up at the end of ep 2.
And as far as being a crybaby over Angel, in episode 4 the issue is that she caused the problems that made Angel upset and was feeling guilty, again a completely different situation to the pilot. You're just not giving a fair assessment at all. When it came down to seeing Val mistreat him she was about to go ballistic on his ass and only Angel stepping in stopped her.
nta but I would also add that the opinions formed after two episodes were pretty much the same, and in a Bayesian way I don't expect the next four episodes to change my mind much. I hope they do, but we've already gotten some limited information on later episodes, and there's nothing there to particularly make me think otherwise.
People are moronic and you’ll see plenty of that, but while the show itself isn’t bad its still got some shoes to fill. Personally I think given the circumstances it could have been much worse, and given the fact it picks up steam on the latter half of things gives me some hope extra content will be better. Cinemaphile and especially twatter blow things way out of their prolapsed asses, but someone seriously needs to monitor Vivzie’s access to social media because god knows that woman has done more to fuel pointless and idiotic drama with her mouth than damn near anything else. Also as a Charliegay is right too, nu Charlie was just off in general, but again its just too early to tell given its been almost five years this October as to whether this is staying or not. >tldr not great not terrible, cautiously optimistic
>They changed the aspect of Charlie being outwardly disrespected and bullied by the denizens of hell,
except they kept that in. Have you even watched it?
It's stunning in a bad way, just how much she blends into the rest of the environment. Nothing about her design stands out at all anymore. She just looks like another Hell denizen.
>Charlie has been basically vandalised by her own creator
This shit needs to be studied in terms of character downgrades. How do you miss the entire point and appeal of your own character this hard
Which also adds to one of the many small problems I have with Viv's work. It's just Earth II.
You should assume, having survived each purge, some sinners/demons would be centuries old or around since Hell itself existed. But they all act like 20-somethings for tumblr to self insert into. Everyone should be at least in their 300's or at the very least, technically 90+ with the focus on Victorian, Edwardian and 1920's clothing.
I honestly like it as an aesthetic for the afterlife (The Grim Fandango/The Good Place) but you can just tell when a writer considers how ancient some of these characters should be.
Fanfic but I think Charlie should be a full Disney princess completely blinded to the truth around her, running on Drawn Together rules. Vag could be a lot more ruthless as a juxtaposition to Charlie whole fully supporting her. AD could use a touch more nihilism and Husk could take a shot of apathy. Nifty's an Invader Zim OC that bounces between childlike to full adult and they really need to pick one.
>Nifty's an Invader Zim OC that bounces between childlike to full adult and they really need to pick one.
No they don't, shut up, she's literally perfect.
You go to hades then after everything is said and done, hell if you fricked up really hard and refused to do something as simple as letting the creators song into your heart, invigorating yourself with the holy spirit and getting right by the creator. It’s really easy, yet most opt out because they want to believe theres some super secret to it all. The hilariously awful part is that it always was that easy.
it's really suspicious to me just how big this show got so fast and that's the real question we should be asking
who did viv do favors for? why did huge big names in the industry and those responsible for amazon productions latch onto this so hard? something just isn't right
It does feel suspicious how readily everyone huge in the industry not only accepted but funded this show, it got live showings, it got so much attention and budget, it's actually suspicious how much and how fast it happened to the point where it's reasonable for people to assume that something is afoot.
Why does no one talk about that? It's always "is it good or is it bad?" and not "ok maybe it's not that bad, or even kinda good, but it's not nearly good enough to get AS MUCH as it did so suddenly."
>How did it get so big so fast?
Did people just miss the "Amazon Original" part? She sold out behind the scenes HARD. Hell if any reason the show right now feels "weak" it's most likely because the Amazon Original suits came in with censors and marketers and changed just about everything from the pilot to sell on their platform.
Anon, a lot of previously indie stuff got into productions like Amazon or Netflix, but this particular show's growth was unreasonable
Not every cartoon gets a live showing, Amazon funds a lot of stuff but very little of it gets this level of fame before it's even fully out
Man I don't fricking know. Maybe to sell better to teens? Maybe just for the frick of it? To make some grand show of it compared to Disney because Disney's getting weaker in recent years?
I'm not in the corporate office that decided that, so I have no clue, you don't, nobody really does.
FRICK IT, could have just been on a whim of excitement from one suit to another. No one ever thinks of whims anymore, it has to be some meticulously planned out conspiracy or some shit like that. Like we forget that Human's make random ass choices sometimes with no preface or context.
>than a no-name indie creator
She's made more than a name for herself by this point than most of the Amazon Prime showrunners for shows not named Invincible, The Boys, or Reacher
Rape is fine long as it isn't actually shown in it's entirety, or realistically.
I mean Law and Order Special Victims Unit exists and that show prides itself on "what's the most FRICKED scenario we can create?"
yeah Rape in mother other shows are used as like a means to make you feel ok when the "bad guy" gets his dick blown off. A woman had to suffer so we can justify a man's death. It's usually exploitative and fetishistic when a male director is in charge because the camera angles show the scenes from a voyeuristic angle. >you're in the cuck chair
There certainly can be "good" rape scenes that heighten the story (Beserk comes to mind). But it's really odd to see this used to make Angel Dust more sympathetic, even though he's done nothing of value other than being a bawd.
He tells Husk that he wants to be broken so that Mothman can loose interest, but this spider still chooses sex and drugs as a default. When a character is made to JUST be a sex symbol you gotta show what other interests and values he brings to the party. AD's ONLY personality is SEX and swearing, and hating people.
His name is Slang for PCP/LSD.

That's my main gripe with him. He had to be sympathetic and make the audience feel bad for wanting to frick the bawd bug. I guess.
Which sets HH apart from the majority of black humor cartoons and it comes off as bizarre when they're in Hell. The one plane of existence where a character who's got a rancid, over-used hole would fit in and expected to be there. It worked for Drawn Together, works for a lot of adult swim series. I actually liked AD more when he really was nothing but a vapid ho.
It's very shoehorned but I could attribute that to the writer's incredibly small world view/Christian guilt.

>writer's incredibly small world view/Christian guilt.
god damn, that's the best way to put it. I've complained about how hypocritical Charlie's attempt to "redeem the sinners" is because it's still based on the christian ideal of "good" and "evil". Being a bawd is wrong, but Rape is still WORSE than being a bawd, so we're supposed to learn that being a bawd is GOOD? But no, now AD wants to be loose no more just to get away from his rapeist.
Meanwhile, Viv's in interviews vaguely going on about how "it's ALL GREY and they have to deal with these emotions." And then says shit like "if we got a new spin off, I wanna make more Valentino stuff!" Like OK! it's just all Fujo fetish crap, Viv, be up front about it.
She really doesn't have a higher plane of realization about spirituality where a true Grey is going "thing exists and I can be ok with it."
That's been my struggle, because It's hard for me to look at this show and think that it's ok that it exists when it feels like a waste of effort and money, thrown into a glamour project that says or does nothing new.
But that's what Satanism is, right? Learning to enjoy the negative emotions?

>Being a bawd is wrong
It permeates all over HB too. You see the way the series handles lust and love and it reads like an Interview with a Vampire fanfic.

It makes perfect sense, you're just moronic. Viv wants to have her cake and eat it too, [insert fat Viv cake-eating joke here]. I simplify it for you.
>Charlie wants to get sinners to Heaven by making them good >she meets Adam, who is not good and a total jerk >because Heaven is 'le bad', and Hell is 'le good' >but she keeps on doing her hotel shit like Palpatine inexplicably continuing to use Sith Lightning, even though it's being bounced back into his own face >because Viv is using outside of the Hazbin universe concepts of good and bad at the same time as not using them in-universe
That's why shit doesn't make any logical sense, even granting some kind of fricked up Woke concept of morality.

>There certainly can be "good" rape scenes
I heavily disagree. Rape in media is only used for shock, and rarely for story.
Plus I find it rather gross that we celebrate the corruption of the unity of two people's love/passion for each other, but when it comes to showing ACTUAL passion and sex, people say "no".
Then again rape affected someone close to me, so that's a big reason why I'm distasteful of it. And also all the rape apologists whenever someone get's cancelled over it.

>it's really suspicious to me just how big this show got so fast and that's the real question we should be asking
The same way Our Flag Means Death did. Appealed to tumblr, the audience that despite 60% of them retreating to twitter, is still rather large. OFMD is honestly very "alright" in my opinion but it's basically the gay pirate show everyone had been writing fanfiction about since forever.
>Now it's going through plot points, character introductions, and songs at light speed.
I'm wondering if this is because Viv got ironically and predictably cucked by her new corporate overlords into compressing the material at what feels like a 2:1 ratio, or whether she was giving a budget and limitations, and just wanted to spergily speedrun through all her big plans while she could.
I haven't been able to shake the feeling that ratio is spot on. Like each episodes feels like two compressed into one, and things that seem like they should happen over the span of two episodes only takes one without time to breathe, etc. As if it was a hasty ill-considered decision that happened later in the planning process.
Someone said that Lilith is a fan OC for the bible as well.
People want to say that she was in the bible and written out, which I thought, but then when reading chats in these threads, she was made up later on with the intent to be thrown into the Bible so that Eve and Adam don't have incest babies when they get kicked out...or something like that.
Every biblical motif in this story is like the kinda shit an edgy kid would come up with during bible class or read on Tumblr
>Dude.. .Dude didja know Lilith was the original wife of Adam but she's so cool and strong and based because she didn't wanna be his wife dude that's ebin
Someone said that Lilith is a fan OC for the bible as well.

Okay it's been talked about in another thread but Lilith was a half-assed attempt at folding Mesopotamian into israeli mythology as a means of explaining away the Genesis 1-2 contradiction where God creates women twice.
Lilith doesn't really make sense because the reality is that Adam and Eve are meant to be viewed as mentally more akin to children that the apple caused to start growing up as they lose their innocence. Despite being husband and wife; their relationship was more akin to brother and sister than a married couple because the very concepts of sex and romance were foreign to them, nor would they have any concept of the kind of power dynamics that Lilith supposedly defied.
Sex wasn't a foreign concept to them. The fruit of knowledge represents religion and higher thought. Adam and Eve were spiritually naked in front of god that's why they were embarrassed, you aren't supposed to take it literally
The fruit of knowledge represents the knowledge of evil and suffering within the world. The whole idea is that taking it forced them to lose the innocence and closeness to God they once held.
>anons link "proof" and twitter shit >user is a minor
Absurdly high. We need Chinese internet, wouldn't completely stop kids from stealing their parents social IDs but it'd slow most of them down.
Says that St. Peter is supposed to show up. This is the only information we have on him, as he was never shown in ANYTHING prior to this, not even audition leaks.
On the whole I'm very dissapointed by it so far. It's lacks the overall quality in its story and world building that the pilot had and is overall very unfunny.
I'm not a fan of the songs. Poison was the only memorable one so far. I also don't like a lot of the changes done to the character designs and the loss of Stamper as Sir Pentious is a massive downgrade.
I liked it more as it went on, but overall it's very mediocre.
Fans need to demand Viv include it in the official OST.
Some Twitxgay please innocently ask her about this song you heard and which episode it's going to be in. We need an official Viv reaction to fans associating it with Hazbin Hotel.

lol, I get what you're trying to suggest, but i think part of the moral of the show is that he'd somehow frick it over for everyone AND himself in the process. He is a crash and burn sort of guy. Getting into Cinemaphile talk here without spoilers but Mike's whole rant is to call him out on that.
You'd need to see how Gus's empire was built in Saul to understand JUST how badly Walt fricked it over for ego. I see your point that he'd be going through Hell (not viv's) trying to get himself to heaven but he'd constantly fall back down. He's his own Lucifer. Crawling up to heaven, taking out people with him, failing horribly, and then getting back up to try again... For all eternity.

>how people hyped discussions for the series only to be terribly disappointed.
I re watched it all after Saul and I did see it in a different light, but I don't think I was really Rooting for Walter to "win" the 1st time around, more or less get resolution to the things that started it all. After seeing Saul, I was more understanding of how Walter WAS the bad guy the entire time.
There's two ways about it. 1) Gus and the Cartel are TERRIBLE people because selling Meth is bad. Walter being the piece to the puzzle that takes out the cartel and the other suppliers makes Walt into the "James Bond" esc hero that allows men to put themselves into his shoes.
2) You also want Walt to get some satisfaction with his life. You are presented with how he has a shitty job, his ex colleges are kinda douchey and being frivolously virtuous and if you're someone who doesn't like the idea of "hand outs". He's your average "white american", thinking his lower class status makes him morally right in his actions.
If I gotta bring this back around to Hazbin or Helluva, What does the action of Viv's main protagonists get out of doing the things they choose to do? What DOES Blitzo want? Life to go back to the way things are?
What does Charlie get out of ending the Purge? What does she loose when the purge happens every year?
A lot of the character motivation of her stories are about as in depth as a Garfield comic and people like to go on about them as if they're deeper than that. People say they loved seeing AD's rape scene because they're SA victims and I get why they say that, but no other scene outside of his abuse shows that he's actually a well rounded character. What other interests does he have when he's NOT getting fricked? Frick some more???
Anonymous
>What other interests
This is literally writing 101. As in, genuinely the bare bones basics of writing anyone studying it learns. And it feels like it was skipped over in favor of attractive designs and flair.
The Klown Twins in Helluva are a great example. Because they want to be clown girl superstars... why?
There is no why, they exist to be a problem for our resident fragile victim gay boy.
Charlie being a princess and delusional could absolutely play into her motivations, but that isn't going to happen. AD and Husk are in hell for their vices, but even crackheads have friends. Even meth addicted prostitutes who can't think of anything but making money for more meth know how to use reddit and watch anime.
There's nothing to anyone and fans end up writing in those character details and then treating them like they have always been a thing. Then when the series doesn't acknowledge it- cue complaining

OMG yeah, I'm SO mad that the fandom does ALL the work for Viv and the writers.
People will have legit complaints about the show's structure in critical ways, but she'll make changes to like "Oh sorry Blizto won't say moronic anymore! That was RUDE of him when he did it in the pilot!"
"You're right, it was bad that the News Reporter was a bigot and said she didn't like the gays. We'll make it right by having a gay person say it the next time!"
I know that you can have strawmen characters in your show. One off that just need to be walls for your protagonist to get through, so giving them too much depth is a waste of time. But how many times are they gonna keep going up against the SAME strawman to only beat it in that we're supposed to "uwu wuv our soft boys who are misunderstood".
I hate them more for this forced Woobifaction.

to expand on this, Walter would probably "take" over hell in an extremly short amount of time by taking out the other overlords through luck, exploiting their weakpoints(like he did with gus´hatred for hector) or actually outskilling them. Though just like in the show he will make everything crash and burn in an extremly short amount of time leaving others to pick up the scraps.

Walt, despite all his frick ups, ultimate kind of won at the end, or at least won as much as he could after ruining everything. He took out all the remaining threats, made sure his family would get the money and that Skylar could cut a deal, saved Jesse, and ultimately died with his Baby Blue. Him being Hell’s own Sisyphus is a comedic and tragic idea though.

I think the series doesn't really go into its Nine circles the way that could reflect just how many powerful, intelligent, and extremely charismatic people get put down there all at once.
There's a focus on only really the main cast and whatever major plot Viv can't keep up with when regardless of Hell's aristocracy, there would be Watler Whites around every corner.
I guess the series really does just work better as fanfic fuel. Would rather read 50k words of some OC story over anything Charlie says at this point

That's why I said the Nine Circles. I like the Interpretation of them being an actual descent and the smart ones would figure out how to chill in Gluttony or Wrath even if they aren't powerful, they'd know how to get around.
If you're a grown person and not much into musicals, chances are you're going to have this expression throughout all the available episodes so far and thinking you were seeing another fujoushi's work instead
The hilarious thing about New Charlie is that you can pretty much summarize the whole character into the same princess archetype Disney also just so happens to have been doing since Tangled. Hell, it even falls into the same art designs princesses have been having since Frozen that Charlie also happens to have. The reason WHY you don't associate her as much with those is because she's using the EXACT shipping trope that Luz and Amity have that she has with Vaggie (Charlie dresses in a more masculine fashion, Vaggie presumably feels more of a rival but just so happens to also wind up being Charlie's love interest, just like Amity to Luz, it's honestly one of the most overused yuri tropes alongside next to popular mlm tropes).
The thing that’s gonna come back to bite Viv is that this show is not groundbreaking or revolutionary in terms of adult humor and animation. I mean the show itself is average, although there are some pretty good moments that I did like. Viv truly believes that HH is going to change everything for indie animation.
And that’s clearly not looking like the case. if anything, the amazing digital circus might be the one to do with Viv so desperately wants.
Trust me when I say Viv is going to make absolute sure she's gonna pay her way into the series staying relevant and milking/making the most of it the same way Valentino milks Angel. Creator-written plots tend to mirror a LOT of the creators' personality, whether they intend or don't.
>whether they intend or don't.
They most assuredly do. Which in turn reflects how the industry keeps letting these sycophants publish their self-indulgent, self-servicing "therapy."
Sometimes it works, most of the time you get Steven Universe
To be fair, it's not like Steven Universe was entirely bad, it had some fair good stuff to work with. To me, it felt like it mostly ran for way too long allowing itself to create convoluted plots, honestly kind of similarly to Adventure Time. Some times it's okay to finish and wrap up a story. Do a spin-off if you have to. But most creators have a deadline which means things get rushed which leads to even more plotholes and rushed scenes that barely make sense/don't give much of an impact. If a creator doesn't have enough time to completely wrap up their game, especially if they don't have anyone by their side to help give any sort of ideas whatsoever, filling in all the plot holes as much as they can, it's gonna turn into trash. The key is quality, not the quantity of the pages you're writing about unless the plot is story heavy and requires a lot of location setting changes. Less padding, the better.
While SU had many high points, I mean the way show runners insert their trauma in a way that doesn't really add anything. And they're all the same type of person.
Usually from a high privilege background while also being a minority (lgbt/non-white but not brown, ND) and claiming there needs to be more representation while vomiting out their 14 year old fantasies. Sometimes it's about society (Steven condescendingly correcting what's-her-name on someone nonbinary) sometimes it's about themselves (She-ra reboot character designs)
I've watched these shows without Cinemaphile's input first and it's glaring how they all feel the same. Usually with an incredible pilot-first season and then the self inserting blooms out.
Take this theory: Viv's main goal is to frick up a young generation with a twisted tale of the bible so that Christianity can collapse due to Satanism and the usher in of the end days.
Already, it's working and Loona is doubling down on it.
Anon nobody cares about going to Church because it's just not really a "thing" people do anymore. We all have actual shit to worry about right now than "saving our souls".
You're going to be shocked when you realize Gen Z is right now starting a Christian revival and it's going to explode over the next few years.
>We all have actual shit to worry about right now than "saving our souls".
No we don't. And to imply that our ancestors who were much more religious than our current society didn't have more real problems to worry about for most of history than we do today in the age of electricity, wifi, amazon 24-hour shipping, uber eats, starbucks gift cards and shit, come on get a grip.
So-called "Progressive" idiots don't understand that history goes in cycles, and Gen Alpha will probably be burning homosexuals at the stake after they pushed the pendulum so far out of whack with reality, it's demands a hard correction.
They're like the idiots who look at a graph trend and think their crypto, the stock market, or even the temperature of the Earth itself, will continue in the same direction, as if no other factors are involved. Clueless. But always funny to see the look on their faces when they're predictably wrong. At the moment they think they're winning, but it's a game nobody can ever win unless they stop trying to win it and just let people be.
ie. Individual freedom, which they actually believe they stand for, but in reality do not.
Based take. >At the moment they think they're winning
I think some of them are already starting to realize they're not, and before this year is over that hard correction is going to begin manifesting in a number of ways. We're coming right up against the tipping point in 2024 and it's going to be a wild ride.
I just hope my fellow Christians don't backlash too hard against Hazbin as if it's meant to be satanic propaganda when in reality I see it as something quite different, even if unintentionally so. It's a decent show and it has more nuance than it's getting credit for.
Some clueless and other grifting dramagays are looking for a new Bud Light boycott to lead, but I don't think anyone with a brain is going to buy that this qualifies:
The Bud Light reaction to homosexualry wasn't even an actual boycott led by anybody, it was an organic visceral reaction to that troony. Literal anti-marketing, so no effort actually required.
HH by contrast will likely be forgotten pretty soon after the final episode airs. Viv of course has the typical McWoke moron take on religion, but she makes such a mess of it it's not worth anyone getting upset over.
>before this year is over that hard correction is going to begin manifesting
It's always hard to predict precisely when shit like this will happen, otherwise you could clean up on the stock market, but what you can be pretty sure of is the trend wont just continue linearly without going through reversals.

Of course Viv is moronic and this is some kind of gay propaganda effort, (at least in her mind), so I expect seriously religious people to not watch it and maybe object on principle, but gays trying to stir this shit is on the level of the anti-Harry Potter shit back in the day: >ZOMG! Harry Potter is teaching children witchcraft!
Nah frick you, I'm watching Harry Potter anyway, and kids don't give a shit or actually relate it to actual witchcraft.
I find it highly unlikely such a reaction will even get the anti-Potter level of support, and that seemed a little ginned up and fake at the time. This just feels like reaction channel click-seeking content crap. Christcucks should be having a bigger reaction and blame for Verbalase if they care at all.
I imagine most gays will forget about HH completely right after the last episode airs.
As for the Lilith shit it's like saying this movie is 'promoting' demonic crap, when I think it's actually the opposite:
Spoiler: Underrated made-for-TV old kino film about how a good preacher becomes corrupted without even realising it.

>Husker was a card sharp >AD was a mobster >Alastor was a serial killer >these are the people we're supposed to root for
I don't fricking know, maybe I'm too boomer to get this show.
There's a fundamental fiction ideology that's stupid but explains everything and is missing from most discussion.
Proship/profiction vs antiship
Viv is a profiction creator. There have been others like her, but what matters is that she makes proship bait and I think that people misunderstand her intentions as a creator because they're not looking at her work from that point of view, it's a cast of fricked up characters in a fricked up setting that leads to talk about how you want X to kiss Y.
Let's be honest here, if Viv actually showed Al doing things that make him comparable to Valentino (Not even raping Husk, just forcing him to do fricked up shit like making him become a cannibal against his will) then at least a third of the fanbase would get pissed at Viv because Alastor fans are for the most part fricking moronic. Also, Viv herself won't let Alastor actually be evil because he's playing babysitter for Charlie on behalf of Lilith, he's just 'Le Quirky'.
I got severe Bill vibes from essentially the entire male cast. They all have his design elements specifically from humanized fanart. Especially Alastor.
Potentially abusive but sweet to his favorite, demigod level power that he never uses because he's soooo above it all (and missing the point of Bill who regularly used everything he had to frick people up) and other fanfiction interpretations.
It’s hell. Rape probably happens a lot to folk that can’t fend for themselves and angel is basically a slave that has to do everything Valentino says. Lots of folk are in the exact same situation. That was the point of the song. They’re not free and their owners can do anything they wish to them. Valentino probably has other slaves that he just tears to shreds for funzies before going to be at night. Maybe he makes the others watch while he does it so they’ll know what will be in store when their turn comes. It could be worse. They could be in the version of hell from requiem where innocent victims of psychopaths in life go to hell when they die and become slaves to those that victimized them for all eternity. At least angel could have just not signed the contract.
Hell, I believe- should run like Kowloon. Well, what was Kowloon.
A walled in city covered in darkness with actually 0 laws but functional with stores, businesses and people who could be insane mass rapists/murderers if they wanted but choose to chill the frick out instead.
Prison rules apply- but humans get very bored very easily. Outside of demons being antagonistic, I think it would be a lot closer to that- if the fricked up demon city held as its base.
It seems like that’s basically what hell is in the show. Only with overlords being essentially shot-callers that make the rules. If you’re tough enough to beat one of them, then you become an overlord and can make the rules.
Thing is, this show lacks the difference between people who've been in hell and survived for centuries vs the newly dead who start shit. The city isn't a city it's a prop.
AD could be a newly dead and lamented his struggle of making a mistake but it was just more or less a sex thing. No one comes off as at any point having been alive or human. Fair for demons not so much a cast that's supposed to be thinking about a yearly purge.
There should be LINES of eager dead who hear about the V's and want an easy escape.
My issue with this show (and by extension all these nu-age wicca/nu-pagan/anti-christian whatever you call it media) is that they make hell very fricking lame. At least those Satanic Panic 90s media had some sick aesthetics.
You go to witch tok and every other social media that has a community of anti-christian pagan larpers and its a bunch of millenials still upset about their parents so to spite them, they make these wierd fanfics about Greek gods and probably skimmed through the Ars Goetia on Wikipedia and "pray" to them. They pray for temporary, material gain.
That's the target audience for Hazbin Hotel. At least the edgy demonic shit that I watched was shit like Helsing and Devilman, which still hold up in entertainment. Bring me back 90s-2000s edge, take me back bros.
The problem with anti-Christian, anti-religious homosexuals is they wind up creating their own moronic religion which is invariably much worse. Then have hypocritical 'blasphemy; and 'heresy' of their own.
That's why people wind up just wanting to go back to mainstream Christianity, where they could at least choose to believe it or not and it's at least possible a god, and that particular God exists. By contrast there's is no chance a man can actually become a woman by having his dick cut off, or any way to make yourself actually believe than when you're not moronic. Pretty simple math homosexuals.
The idea that humanity can ever en masse just grow out of our religious tendencies is more delusional than even the most cultish religion. Pretty ironic when you can read in any Bible that by natural human beings are incapable of that kind of ideal, (our ancestors figured that much out literal millennia ago). We can grasp the concept, and act upon it momentarily, but never completely and quickly fall back into the same old habits.
tl;dr: The Star Trek 'evolved man' shit is a nice idea, but it's not that simple:
It always cracks me up to watch gays throw away everything traditional because it's "old", (and created by a bunch of powdered-wig-wearing racist FRICKING WHITE MALES or whatever), and then they try to start from scratch and immediately run into the exact same problems people did on day dot.
It's like that Cartmanland episode of South Park where he buys an amusement park and has to keep making pragmatic compromises on his ideal and finally winds up running a business just like it was to start with. Funny to watch in action every single time. If they even get that far, it usually collapses and spastically shits itself after the first few hurdles, but still funny either way watching these gays trying to deal with actual reality.
you can't talk like this about anyone when your entire religion it's based on councils made by elder homosexuals hundreds of year ago, mistraductions and cherry picking
even the Quran mogs your bible in terms of accuracy from generation to generation, and that book is shit
Not my religion, I'm not religious. I'm just not stupid enough to throw away all the hard-won knowledge and principles figured out by people who came before me. Also not arrogant enough to think I can't go from the frypan to the fire and easily fall into some other cultish bullshit, because I'm a fricking human being and understand I'm prone to the same tendencies we all are. That's how I can see all this Commie shit for what it is, but you can't.
Also religions, historical debates and schisms are a hell of a lot more intelligent/nuanced than a gay like you thinks they are. Not only whether a creator, (of some kind), exists and where life, the universe, and everything even comes from, is an obvious and legit question worthy of discussion, but so is the best way for a human to live their life and avoid long-known pitfalls their antecedents fell into. If you don't at least consider looking into shit that has already been figured out, realising that the human animal has changed very little over that time, then you're a fricking moron, and more likely to fall for any old shit.
I simply don't believe in God spirits souls heaven hell etc. I don't view a book as proof. The absence of belief is not a religion, nor does it tell you to think or do anything. It doesn't say anything, it's just a void.
Nature abhors a vacuum, so homosexuals invariably wind up filling that void with something. Woke shit is a perfect example and they'll defend it just as vehemently against people who speak against it. You can't even say certain words or things on this board - on fricking Cinemaphile - without some moderator who is part of that pseudo-religion banning you.
You might think that's totally normal, but it's not. It's the same old shit. You just believe that shit as fact, and you think you're right, and anyone who says otherwise is evil, (ie. "racist", "sexist", "homophobic", whatever).
If you truly were absorbing different horseshit you'd be truly free to think for yourself, but there's an orthodoxy you're not allowed to violate, that people are living in fear of just as much as any religious inquisition, too afraid to point out any logical contradiction.
>The idea that humanity can ever en masse just grow out of our religious tendencies is more delusional than even the most cultish religion
buddy there's less religious people than ever before. Nobody cares. It's free will baby.

Being based on the reddit of ideologies explains a lot
If you understood anything about the history of religion, politics, and other ideologies, you understand that humanity is like the oil in a lava lamp. Always chaotically moving, morphing, separating, disconnecting, never the same, yet always the same, driven by the same old sources of energy, but into myriad unique, (yet familiar), formations - endlessly. Why do you think there are so many religions in the first place? Most of them are branching schisms, reformations, and rehashes of existing ones reaching so far back into the past we've lost all trace of their origins.
If you think you or your ideology is going to 'win' this eternal battle, you're just as deluded as every other homosexual in history who did and sooner or later found out they were dead wrong. You'll sure as shit never be able to stray too far from reality for very long, and buddy, you literal gays have way overextended yourselves of late.

I'm winning though, fricking knew HH was going to be mediocre garbage ever since Amazon got involved.

Zoomer Progressivism and Christianity doesn’t work. Christianity is based on stoicism and zoomer progressivism is based on the victim mentality and ruining lives with cancel culture. They’ve also drank deeply from the troon pool of lies and unironically think you can change your gender or opt out by being “non-binary”. They eat the lies of Satan whole heartedly then project onto poor generation Alpha and say they’re doomed. They are not Christian at all.

Satanist are so desperate for Christians like me to lose. It’s hilarious. Have you noticed how much God is smiting you already? Hahahaha.
He turns all of you into utter embarrassments and puts his hands on dealing with CVID, exposing your most powerful figures to the world with an Island listing, and making sure your trillions of dollars are wasted for an ounce of smoke.

Nope. See:

Viv is a perfect example of how much of that kind of shit has seeped into people's brains where they don't even know they are doing it, just literally taking obviously irrational shit as gospel.
What puts me off the most is the artistic jump from pilot to ep1 while still following the plot of the pilot. You can clearly see the vibe it was meant to have, and is pretty much a necessary watch if you want to experience the show, but I feel like I’m in two different worlds when watching them. Like the pacing of the show knows it only has a limited amount of episodes but its original story required more than that for the timing to feel more natural.
It's a high 5/low 6 to me. An okay series so far with some highlights (Vox, Pentious, Husk) and some REAL low points (episode 1 is complete dogshit, Angel and Vaggie are bad performances, animation looks worse than pilot/Helluva Boss). This score isn't permanent, and frankly I expect it to go down once more episodes come out.
If you like Helluva Boss you'll like this show. It's more of a musical than HB. It's slower paced and they don't try to tell the story with background details. It's not episodic which is probably where the 'meh' comes from. The first two episodes are 'set-up', the next two have 'character development'. What you missing is conflict resolution, climax, closure and a lore dump that explains everything. You will probably get them down the line, the show just is trying to tell one big story over cramming a full one into every episode.
It's a rare case where the series is at least an order of magnitude worse than the pilot. Vivzie doesn't have a bone in her back, she should have stood up for the pilot voice cast.
Try making your own show or promoting other underrated shows instead of being upset that an butthole is successful.

Replied to the wrong person. The point still stands with people who are obsessed with that butthole. Life isn't fair but you're not gonna make anything of yourself if you're gonna cry about it.
It's fine. it's good in fact. In the endless amounts of garbage adult cartoons out there, this is among the upper middle. The Screaming cuss words and LOLPENIS jokes are noticable but the more recent episodes were good enough to keep me interested.
Thing is, this has been an internet obsession for several years now. In particular Cinemaphile and in particular here. No matter how it went it would never be sufficient. No matter how bad it was it wouldn't be bad enough. It has become something outside of itself as a show. Culture war is a cancer on society.
>show is supposed to be something like some hotel owner trying to change demons for the better >IMMEDIATELY drops that for some random war im supposed to care about
theres nothing wrong with episodic "[guest] of the week" style of things, what the frick? you can still add the plot in between these too
>show is supposed to be demon assassins killing humans who could potentially be morally corrupt/innocent >IMMEDIATLY drops that for some random demon class war im supposed to care about
>show is supposed to be demon assassins killing humans who could potentially be morally corrupt/innocent >IMMEDIATLY drops that for some random demon class war im supposed to care about
The best way to put it is Viv took the South Park hell where the joke is that it gets less hellish and more mundane everytime we see it and tried to seriously worldbuild around that concept
You joke, but the only people I see in youtube comments are men with 20 layers of make up and teenagers talking about how much the horny adult cartoon helped them through blah
it's not a joke, I like musicals, as much as straight guy can, and have a high tolerance for gays dancing, but damn it was way too fruity even for me... it's fine, let the queers & fujos have fun, but I feel for the normies who'll get baited by Charlie to watch this
>let the queers & fujos have fun,
It's popular and thus it WILL be complained about. I feel the same. I will not be invested in either of Viv's shows but I know they'll be everywhere even if I'm trying to ignore them because 50,000 meme has some incredible staying power. unfortunately.
Instead of overexaggerating, can you give me the worst lines or dialogue that you find objectionable? Because frick Viv and her shit, but I don't see it personally.
cartoon autists are like that, they are not used to excessive swearing and it triggers them, same with too much sexy, that's why they are here, not on Cinemaphile, nothing to do with religion per say
Obviously there are two categories of cartoons though, and I don't see it violating the South Park 'Knights of Standards and Practices' level of excessive swearing where it's too much to the point it undermines its own impact. Which would be a legit criticism as far as it goes, and what a lot of people seem to be getting at.
arguably, one of the better moments in any of the series still has swears thrown in as nouns. The only reason this is tolerable is because they're from Loona who is known to be an abrasive character. That's just how she's going to talk, and you can even say, she toned it down for this segment.
That's just THIS segment alone. You can't even have a NICE moment were at least one of the characters doesn't use Frick in there for too long.
I can't say much for the rest of the episode, but I'm reminded that Octavia has a point that Stolas is with Blitzo the entire time, doing shit with Blitzo, and Loona has to show up to be like "um it's ok when Dad's are dumb shits sometimes!"
Season 2 is this but worse, seeing how none of the redeeming qualities that Loona is supposed to see in Blitzo exists.
Most adults do not swear that much. The dialogue comes off as a middle schooler learning the word "frick" for the first time and thinking they're hot shit for saying it like every other sentence.
Anon don't make it an age thing, go outside. Wear a mask if you're scared.
And I mean outside your tiny village/suburb.

Maybe take your own advice. I spent two hours shooting the shit at a bar with friends and the word "frick" was said once every five minutes at most. Not every 5 words.
>demons swearing in hell >out of character
bruh
the show shows how all the most annoying homosexuals will go to hell, even the gays know where they are headed
>Episodes 1 and 3 are heavily flawed, poorly paced, and painfully mediocre >Episodes 2 and 4 are good to really good and if it could stay at this level consistently, it'd all would have been worth the wait.
I'm guessing episode 5 is going to be lame and episode 6 will be a banger.
so, what do you think eve's deal is? is she in heaven, or in hell? has she split from adam and become independent, or does he just constantly chest on her?
I know Cinemaphile is usually Cinemaphilentrarian but do you really all feel that negative about the show? I've seen the four episodes and I was entertained while it was on. Didn't watch the clock once wondering how much time is left
I agree not everything's a hit, and I was annoyed at Angel Dust's poison song (mostly the visuals, lyrics are alright), but that seems excessive no? I dunno, not everything is out yet, but so far the lowest I'd give is a 7 out of 10. We honestly could have gone sooooo much worse, yet we got nuggets of fun.

Doesn't help bad actors on both sides of the coin have been utterly obsessed with this show for five fricking years and have made their entire lives revolve around weather or not Vivinne succeeds or fails or their eyes.
its unwarranted, but kind of inevitable. people had ridiculously high expectations, neopuritans hate it for covering "problematic" subject matter, and the alt right saw a gay show made by a woman who's immature enough to feed the trolls and declared it dinner time
Maybe I should reframe my question. Does anyone straight watch this show and remain straight? I'm female so I'm immune to impulsive sexuality changes
It seems like 99% of fanbase is just coomers over the gay scenes
1. breasts or GTFO >don't blame me I don't make the rules
2. Rule #30
3. So YWNBAW
4. I'm straight and I'm trying to ignore all the off-putting gay shit, but that last episode was a bit hard to tolerate, after Angel was bad enough the rest of the time.
5. No, not going to ever turn me gay. Literally revolted by all that shit.
All of the new voices are pretty fine IMO. Not really noticeably worse or better than the OG's(aside from Husk who's the big driving force on why I even care about him now.) besides the fact they can all without a doubt sing, something I was iffy on the original Angel VA being able to do with how autotuned Addict was.
Oh, and also Sir Pentious and the Eggs, but even disregarding Viv dropping the OGs those two weren't gonna come back for personal reasons.
Maybe I should reframe my question. Does anyone straight watch this show and remain straight? I'm female so I'm immune to impulsive sexuality changes

Yeah amount of songs and quality of VA's performances in them suprised me as well. I didn't mind Addict even with autotune, probably because his OG voice is unique and back then I wouldn't see anyone replacing him, but they did really good job with recast
>People either wanted a sincere show about how a naive girl would save demons from ever lasting damnation >Others wanted a slice of life >Barely get either
This show doesn't know what it wants to be.

If you couldn't tell things were gonna go down this way after everything with Helluva Boss I don't know what to tell you.
I probably have never seen a show cut this board so clearly down the middle in regards to whether it’s ‘good’ or ‘bad’ or ‘mid’ - But what I have learned in the past is that if Cinemaphilentrarians are forced to grit out the word ‘mid’ between their teeth instead of ‘dumpster fire’ - then it actually means the intended audience will fricking love it.
If your a teenager or a 20something who laughs at Family-Guy, Southpark and American dad then you’ll like it, if your one of those people but you also just so happen to like Disney musicals then you’ll love it.
You’ll also love it if your like the people ITT who like waifu and husbando homosexualry and debating over what the next plot twist will be and making greentexts.
I personally give it a high6 to a 7 out of 10 after watching the first four episodes. >Episode 1 was just bleh >Episode 2 and 3 were passable >Episode 4 was actually good when characters were talking and it wasn’t a rape porn HMV
Because it objectively isn't bad. It's got many problems but most of those are subjective. It isn't poorly animated despite inconsistencies, the songs aren't all awful and it does its job. It's a very, very strong 'ok'
Cinemaphile can't find anything bad with it that doesn't devolve into women/gays/religion bad outside of its sloppy lore and far too busy world building.
>didn't believe the story leaks >still didn't until today >Charlie says Lilith has been missing for 7 years in episode 1 >vox says alastor has been gone for years in episode 2
I am now officially worried for the plot of this show
Probably the latter. Alastor and Lilith both existed separately 8 years ago. Definitely weird as frick that both Lilith and Alastor disappear at the same time and only Alastor comes back.
>amazon original
I hate it when companies do this. It's not an "Amazon Original". Some b***h came up with it on her own, funded it, posted it to youtube, and it got big. Nobody at Amazon thought of it. It's not their original. But companies love to say it's ours ours ours and we did it first. Frick corpos.
The Christian pearl-clutching over HH is funny because it's toddler shit when it comes to "what if Hell/Lucifer/the demons were the good guys/protagonists" shit.
Nah just cucks trolling since they lost. This shows most defensive fans even admitting half the episodes so far are bad and they're the biggest critics.
I hate all the new design changes, especially the scientist's gf one.
But most of all I hate new voice actors. NONE of the voices fit as old voice actors did. Just fricking look at Killjoy, who approved this shit.
There isn't going to be a single song in the series like that 'inside of every demon is a rainbow' one from the pilot, is there
also it's weird for the pilot of a show to be required viewing
Viv's writing problem is that she comes up with interesting premises and even characters, and then quickly gets bored of them to change it.
We've all seen it happen with Hellva Boss. Went from a team who basically only aren't at each other's throats because they all like doing their jobs of being hitmen, to constant daddy issues and relationship drama while making them such "super sad woobies ;_;". Seriously, literally everyone of the main cast has daddy issues of some sort or some issues with their relationships where Viv clearly wants you to feel bad for one side, when both characters are clearly buttholes.
Even though Hazbin Hotel still has the premise of "redeeming sinners", you can obviously feel it's not the focus anymore. Instead, it's about "sticking it to the big bad man who treated us misunderstood woobies like shit!" combined with relationship drama. From what I believe, Viv keeps using her shows as a half-baked method of "therapy". She obviously has daddy (and possibly mommy) issues, and relationship drama in her life. Of course, creators always insert parts of themselves or their lives in their work, but usually not to this extent.
When his ‘ahh ahhh ahhhhhhhh’s from the song were synced with him jolting back and forth and arching his neck and doing cum face it was actually kinda hot
I swear to God if this lovable dork dies in the season finale like people are saying I'm dropping this show. Him and Niffty are the only two main characters I actually like so far and are the main reasons this thing is bearable to me.
CHAD Pentious is going to reach redemption status first (thus proving Alastor wrong), defeat the salty angels who have a problem with it, and score a kiss from Cherri
I'm kind of shocked how many people seem to not like Velvettes/Camillas song, it was one of my favorites (the others being Adams and Vox/Alastors). Maybe it's just my personal taste. Camilla/Vaggie's song was ass though, currently least favorite.
>I'm kind of shocked how many people seem to not like Velvettes/Camillas song
I think the abruptness of it threw me off, but it's enough of a bop for me to forgive it, and it actually does move things along. The second song was redundant.
Velvet is around 30, so if she died in the last few years that would've meant she grew up during the social media boom and seen a lot of platforms come and go.
Aggressively mediocre with extremely questionable plot directions.
this, the biggest issue is morons have been hyping it for years now, and helluva boos being mediocre should have been enough for people to realize it wouldn't be anything that good.
The pilot was a funny little animation, but both seasons 1 and 2 were pretty bad. Its tumblerina slop
Half of season 1 is fine
You mean "Hazbin" isn't code for "Has beens" and it's not about old irrelevant people complaining about being old and irrelevant. Former child prodigies. And the recently disabled.
If you’re a high schooler or better yet a middle schooler you’ll probably like it
This. Reminds me of when Tim Burton was the biggest shit and every teen was into his stuff, ESPECIALLY Sweeny Todd.
>there are probably gonna be middle schoolers who bypass parental controls just to watch this
It's not like its hard. Kids are fricking tech illiterate and don't even know how to use a PC control panel but they know how to beg for links on reddit.
from what i gather, it's "meh."
Amazon, as in, biggest company on earth probably? Known for Jeff Bezos the modern face of 1% and also horrid working conditions.
And you're right on the money about the analogy being a older teen that can't commit on what they want to be.
At least Lackadaisy knows what it wants to be, a animated serial about cats running liquor in prohibition era Missouri.
How many favors did Vivze have to do to get this far?
Anon what the frick are you talking about? He asked if the cartoon stunk not your personal hang ups with teenage girls
Do people on Cinemaphile not know what a metaphor is?
Your metaphor sucks not vegeta. It’s overly long and too specific. You could have easily just said
>No I don’t like it it’s juvenile
But you had to seethe a for three paragraphs about teenage girls instead
Sucks in what way? Sucks like a vaccum? Sucks like stubbing your toe? Sucks like having AIDS? Sucks like getting the wrong topping on a pizza? Or like having your dog killed?
Sucks like your dad on a Saturday night
Actually it was a simile.
well... it was a tad effete. would you had cut it at "old people" or "country", depending on your proclivity to minimalism (which is quite apparently itself quite minute), it would have been to some boon.
>Hey Lois, I'm gonna eat this 1940s radio!
>Petah don't, or you'll turn into a gay sexy deer demon thing
Anon, please. That's not how it's done. It's more like
>Oh geez Lois, this is worse than that weekend in a Hell hotel.
And then you not only have Peter show up and do a thing, but because it's a "Hell Hotel", you have Gordon Ramsay show up right at the end to complain about semen stains in the hotel rooms.
The episode quality swings massively, so do the songs.
homie blogged
i just finished and i feel similarly, the designs range between the pretty good for what they are meant to be to the weird and off putting, the vagge girl for instance looks like she would be in another show entirely, she fits nowhere with the others, same for the sphinx guy , his design wouldve worked if he was bigger or wider but at his size he contrasts with the others by looking like a sonic oc.
the characters that look bad look bad because they feel like very basic ocs made by 12 year olds that have no sense of style
now i had never looked into this before so i dunno if the designs changed in the process
I'm about to watch it what am I in for?
Think Tim Burton. Alot of style, but substance may be lacking.
its about what you can expect from viv, it has the certain and "unique" tone that is only tolerable if you're a teenager, otherwise its off putting to most people
behind that style is a fairly average show about the conflict between hell and heaven
>a fairly average show about the conflict between hell and heaven
Without asking if his "children" are ok with it first.
>still believes in "pulling yourself up by your bootstraps!".
>implying this is a bad or impossible thing
kek
lol
lmao
ROFLcopter even
i don't need to make a joke, it writes itself
absolute sozzle
>Make pact with humans
>They break it
>Do some corrective smiting
>Waaaaahhhh you're a tyrant I'm going with Satan now!
>gives you paradise
>"Hey so you can do anything EXCEPT if you choose to eat from that ONE tree a lot of bad stuff will happen okay?"
>decide to eat anyway because some moron snake dared you
>bad stuff happens
>humans: "WELL GOLLY GEE GUESS NO WAY THIS IS MY FAULT AT ALL!"
Athiests are so fricking moronic I swear.
Really makes you think huh. Almost like they are compensating for something.
No one said anything different aggay
I don't see why something eons ago should be my problem.
Because shit that people do affects everyone? That is kind of the whole point and why thinking before acting in purely self interest is a good fricking idea.
Glad to hear you're against Reparations, White Guilt, and Professional Victim israelites.
These Lefties really can be taught.
I still don't think God should've let Job's life fall to shit like that just to prove satan wrong. That's pretty fricked up god.
>be omnipotent
>decide to create beings with curiosity
>put a thing that you know they’re going to want in their enclosure
>curse them for the rest of eternity when they disobey the order you knew they’d break
All Christ wanted was for us to be good to each other, that was really it.
>boomer
Go to bed, underage
There's not even a God in the cosmology of the show, and Hell is pretty clearly full of shitty people which is why Charlie stands out so much as someone kindhearted and trying to redeem others.
She's the true representation of Christian values - hanging out with the sinners and prostitutes, the ones who need saving, like Jesus actually did, not being a sanctimonious Pharisee twat (which is basically what the killer angels we've seen so far represent - remember it was israeli "holy men" that killed Christ, not Satanists).
Nah I'm sure it was some guy that wanted to make some quick silver and also some Italians that didn't like the pasta Christ was selling.
Too much Ragu sauce.
The cross being featured in the show and St. Peter being in the show implies Jesus is in the show who is supposed to be God made flesh so unless they made him something else there is a God in the show.
If god didn’t want to be seen as evil he shouldn’t have been such a pissy c**t in the bible
That's a very fedora tipping take
I’ve been far more involved with the church than any of the morons larping as trad itt
>butthurt child of religiousgays who threw the baby out with the bathwater like a typical moron
No, but the trad catholic larpers really are the new version of that
>homosexual who can't put himself in a God-Creator's shoes.
You have to go back.
All I'm seeing is
>"Adam runs Heaven's military for some reason. Why Adam?
>2 song per episode quota even if it fricks the pacing.
>acting like this is a overdone trope
it is
if it's a overdone trope name 10 shows made in the last 10 years that use it
the music sucks, the characters are gay, and helluva boss is horse shit
Do (you) wanna know if you'll like Hazbin Hotel?
Here's a little test-
I want you to go into your local Hot Topic, find the nearest 15 year old kid wearing an Invader Zim tshirt, and tell them you like their shoelaces.
If you can stand the following conversation, you'll love it. If not, leave it.
It's alright and better than helluva boss S2.
'Little Nicky' in 2000 was more amusing than this tbh.
It's great, but the pacing is all over the place at times, and the first episode is a mess. It gets increasingly better after that
I just this to bomb, so Vivziepop seethes.
(I'll give you a pity (you) to remind you nobody who watches the show cares, as they are watching it for the gay demons being gay, you'll have make your own separate race-baiting threads instead)
I liked episode 4. Probably not the way ut was intended. I like Husk relationship to Angrl Dust.
That Angel Dust is an annoying character because he's trying to be. As Husk pointed out that it's a fake personality. L
Underage pls go
Actually just turn 34
It my birthday
ESL pls go
thats even worse.
So there's a very narrow age range where you're allowed to be here?
>allowed to be here
>engaging with a terminally online Cinemaphile user
Anon don't reply. They just want to feel included for thinking they matter despite probably joining in 2018.
And then of course they can't resist to tell anonymously they were here since some other arbitrary amount of time
Look I'll be blunt. Cinemaphile is a shithole filled with a range between jaded buttholes, and actual monsters that enjoy watching people suffer and die on /gif/ and /misc/.
The modern internet isn't the best but Cinemaphile is NOT the place for a young mind to lurk in. I don't have an alternative in my pocket, but I'm being fair in saying to you, and ANY young lurkers out there.
Cinemaphile IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU RIGHT NOW. Maybe not ever.
>Cinemaphile IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU RIGHT NOW. Maybe not ever.
>actual monsters that enjoy watching people suffer and die on /gif/ and /misc/.
What are YOU doing here then?
I got maipulated into coming here because of 2016 and some butthole on Facepunch that got me to kill my connection to all my old friends. I'm not longer in /misc/ since 2017 but with nowhere else to go I kinda just stuck around. I'd leave but there's nowhere else to go. reddit's too "nice", twitter is a shithole thanks to Musk. Discord's the only other place but still has the issue of most servers requiring self policing. It's a real shit show.
Man, I'm older than you, this was before the modern Alt-Right and trump but I did the same thing, took the proto-redpill and lost a bunch of friends. Sorry to hear that.
Boo hoo, YOU LOST maybe don't befriend leftist pussies
homie, when was the last time you went to /gif/? Its just bots and paid pajeets spamming troony threads and astroturfing failing tiktokers
i been here since late high school.
don't worry; they're admitting that the target demographic for Hazbin is 14-year-olds
>gay BDSM shit
>for 14 years old
Tey are not even trying to hide It anymore
Hazbin Hotel spin-off show set in Pugatory when?
Only when Pigziepop can milk the other shows for smexy yaoi raeptiem scenes.
FRICK YEAH
Pugatory/limbo it's not a thing anymore.
like 16 years ago it was kick off the bible canon
the only thing that i can "praise" in this show is the character designs (I'm not saying that it's groundbreaking but i won't call them ugly designs)
Well it aint good
?si=DeWkmUizrlT0D1cz
Too much singing, the lyrics are also just talking.
>the lyrics are also just talking
Just a few examples:
>Lore doesn't seem to make any sense or have any real internal consistency.
Angel).
>There are a million other issues large and small.
>making previously cool characters decidedly uncool or less cool.
Yeah, seems to be a trend.
>"How's that working out for ya?"
>Pushes back in interview
>"How does it feel that I got your pen, b***h?!"
>Physically fights her
Old Charlie is of Hell and trying to promote a positive message to people she knows are arseholes. New Charlie is just totally naïve.
Sees Radio Demon at the door.
>Shits brix. Slams the door.
>"Uh ... hey Vaggie, the Radio Demon is at the door ... ", [frickfrickfrickfrick]
>New Charlie: Would just be excited and welcome anyone in because, (and I quote), she "trusts everybody".
New Charlie is just clueless, doesn't know what she's doing, and nice because she's too naïve to be otherwise.
yeah, I feel like the people who are hyped about the new show just never cared about charlie, because her character got obliterated
if you're an angel dust obsessive I guess you're eating good though since that's obviously the writer's pet
Charlie's initial reaction to seeing Alastor is pretty much what Shakespeare was talking about when he wrote:
>"[to] drop [your] heart into the sink of fear"
And that specific change is what makes it so cute and funny.
Compare that to New Charlie's reaction to every-thing and every-one, that's more akin to a big dopey golden retriever. I'm actually surprised she wasn't the one bounding up and licking Valentino, in the face.
well said charliefren
When it came down to seeing Val mistreat him she was about to go ballistic on his ass and only Angel stepping in stopped her.
>only 4 eps in
That’s half the season.
nta but I would also add that the opinions formed after two episodes were pretty much the same, and in a Bayesian way I don't expect the next four episodes to change my mind much.
Looks the same to me
I don't see a difference
It's stunning in a bad way, just how much she blends into the rest of the environment. Nothing about her design stands out at all anymore. She just looks like another Hell denizen.
WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY BABY
Fricking hell Verbalase, it's time to just stop okay?
Haven't you done enough already?
I dont like Charlie
It's alright.
Not close to what Viv jerk offs about, but not as terrible as it's gonna get posted about here.
>Not close to what Viv jerk offs about
This is probably literally not true in the case of shit like burglar porno scene. Just sayin'.
I meant in terms of quality, of course she's gonna jerk it.
Never understood why people think that Hell is for eternity despite the fact that the Bible doesn't mention that.
Because it's an AFTERLIFE. For most people Death is eternal, so naturally Hell is eternity.
I mean what happens if you "die" in an afterlife. There's a Heaven/Hell II?
>Where was I gonna go? Detroit?
AD literally says this.
She's a shitty female GIR oc robot and you know it!
>implying you wouldn't frick a female e-girl Gir that literally gets off to pain
You go to hades then after everything is said and done, hell if you fricked up really hard and refused to do something as simple as letting the creators song into your heart, invigorating yourself with the holy spirit and getting right by the creator. It’s really easy, yet most opt out because they want to believe theres some super secret to it all. The hilariously awful part is that it always was that easy.
Episode 1-4

This is gibberish

are these all 1080p?
Thanks bud. Do you also have a link to the Pilot episode as well?
Vivziepop more like vivziepoop
it's really suspicious to me just how big this show got so fast and that's the real question we should be asking
who did viv do favors for? why did huge big names in the industry and those responsible for amazon productions latch onto this so hard? something just isn't right
>How did it get so big so fast?
Like we forget that Human's make random ass choices sometimes with no preface or context.
doubtful that amazon censored it or they wouldn't allow the rape shit
Pretty sure there was tons of sexual harassment and one outright rape in The Boys too.
sure, but theyd probably give a big production like the boys a lot more leeway than a no-name indie creator
>than a no-name indie creator
She's made more than a name for herself by this point than most of the Amazon Prime showrunners for shows not named Invincible, The Boys, or Reacher
Rape is fine long as it isn't actually shown in it's entirety, or realistically.
I mean Law and Order Special Victims Unit exists and that show prides itself on "what's the most FRICKED scenario we can create?"
>Rape is fine long as it isn't actually shown in it's entirety, or realistically.
That's HBO's job.
Or, Max's I guess
yeah Rape in mother other shows are used as like a means to make you feel ok when the "bad guy" gets his dick blown off.
Someone posted Panty & Stocking and it deals with it 100 times better, and a hundred times funnier.
>I've complained about how hypocritical Charlie's attempt to "redeem the sinners" is because it's still based on the christian ideal of "good" and "evil".
Nothing about this statement makes sense.
It's like a white person still using slurs when trying to make black people look good in the eyes of racists.
It makes perfect sense, you're just moronic. Viv wants to have her cake and eat it too, [insert fat Viv cake-eating joke here]. I simplify it for you.
>Charlie wants to get sinners to Heaven by making them good
>she meets Adam, who is not good and a total jerk
>because Heaven is 'le bad', and Hell is 'le good'
>but she keeps on doing her hotel shit like Palpatine inexplicably continuing to use Sith Lightning, even though it's being bounced back into his own face
>because Viv is using outside of the Hazbin universe concepts of good and bad at the same time as not using them in-universe
That's why shit doesn't make any logical sense, even granting some kind of fricked up Woke concept of morality.
Charlie is the pink haired b***h telling someone like Angel Dust that she knows better then he does. Virtue Signalling except she's got her frontal lobe missing.
you motherfricker are not even thinking about it and it shows
>heaven is not even that bad, the only one bad thing about it that we have seen are the exterminators, we haven't seen other types of angels of how heaven is bad apart from having a strict morality
>hell is not absolutely not "le good", it's shown to have acid rains, fire everywhere, rapist, murderers, cannibalism, people spying on you with Vox shitty inventions, people getting hypnotized by the media
>the whole point of the show is escaping from le good heaven
>Charlie does all that redemption shit not to appeal to Adam but because she wants to demonstrate to the forces of heaven that a sinner can become a good person
christ, this is like storytelling 101 anon, YNGMI
Everything that you just said, is just as confused and moronic as Viv's shit if not more so. Your post is literally a Voodoo Shark explanation for her moronic shit.
No, he's right and you are a moron. It's not even that complicated.
it's kinda rude to call people moronic
>There certainly can be "good" rape scenes
I heavily disagree. Rape in media is only used for shock, and rarely for story.
Plus I find it rather gross that we celebrate the corruption of the unity of two people's love/passion for each other, but when it comes to showing ACTUAL passion and sex, people say "no".
Then again rape affected someone close to me, so that's a big reason why I'm distasteful of it. And also all the rape apologists whenever someone get's cancelled over it.
>Rape in media is only used for shock, and rarely for story.
Anne Rice's career was based on rape for story.
>Anne Rice
Who? I just googled and frankly I don't give a toss for some random b***h's bean flick books.
Okay underage.
You will never sit with the cool kids at lunch.
Well gee I'm sorry if I have moral reservations about Rape in media, but don't go to reddit because they're full of cringe idiots.
Also that I don't read trashy erotica from some hag.
>it's really suspicious to me just how big this show got so fast and that's the real question we should be asking
The same way Our Flag Means Death did. Appealed to tumblr, the audience that despite 60% of them retreating to twitter, is still rather large. OFMD is honestly very "alright" in my opinion but it's basically the gay pirate show everyone had been writing fanfiction about since forever.
The pilot from 4 years ago has over 94m views on youtube
She produced a lame product, with nowhere near the soul or hype of the Pilot in 2019.
Now it's going through plot points, character introductions, and songs at light speed.
Or she could just be shit at pacing and no one is keeping her under control in that regard.
GROOVY
Someone said that Lilith is a fan OC for the bible as well.
People want to say that she was in the bible and written out, which I thought, but then when reading chats in these threads, she was made up later on with the intent to be thrown into the Bible so that Eve and Adam don't have incest babies when they get kicked out...or something like that.
If I'm not mistaken Lilith is later addition of israeli mythicism.
For a Christian, Doug seems very immersed in israeli stuff as of late. Last week he was defending those creepy synagogue tunnels.
it's a zionist thing
Every biblical motif in this story is like the kinda shit an edgy kid would come up with during bible class or read on Tumblr
>Dude.. .Dude didja know Lilith was the original wife of Adam but she's so cool and strong and based because she didn't wanna be his wife dude that's ebin
Vivi is israeli?
No, Lilith is basically "Babby's first biblical apocrypha"
Sex wasn't a foreign concept to them. The fruit of knowledge represents religion and higher thought. Adam and Eve were spiritually naked in front of god that's why they were embarrassed, you aren't supposed to take it literally
The fruit of knowledge represents the knowledge of evil and suffering within the world. The whole idea is that taking it forced them to lose the innocence and closeness to God they once held.
Yes what part of higher thought and religion was unclear to you.
I could not keep my eyes on the show for longer than five minutes because the camera movement made me feel dizzy, what the frick were they thinking?
you're either a fricking spastic kid or an 80 year old b***h who can't leave his bed without vomiting
Honest rating of Hazbin Hotel?
STRAWPOLL
https://strawpoll.com/kogjk4G3qZ6
I will commend the fanbase for seeing a rapist character and still liking him anyways, instead of throwing a hissy fit over how "problematic" he is.
Do you think alastor plaps and fricks the b***h on the right daily for stress relief? Like just doggystyle on the table everyday.
Alastors a gay
comes off as the type to put spiders on his dick for fun. All seven of them.
Yes I am viv, I can confirm.
Why are there FOUR twinks with triangle torsos, bowties, and striped suits in the main cast? nobody saw an issue with that?
they're from an earlier time when this shit was still cool
So whatever the score on the underage viewers? How many 10 year olds are watching the crack addicted hooker?
>anons link "proof" and twitter shit
>user is a minor
Absurdly high. We need Chinese internet, wouldn't completely stop kids from stealing their parents social IDs but it'd slow most of them down.
Why do you care?
What the frick do you mean
A literal who named Susan gets a card but not St. Peter who has an actual voice actor attached to him?
>but not St. Peter who has an actual voice actor attached
>St. Peter
What? I thought that show doesn't add people that actually existed in the show.
https://collider.com/hazbin-hotel-release-date-guest-cast/
Says that St. Peter is supposed to show up. This is the only information we have on him, as he was never shown in ANYTHING prior to this, not even audition leaks.
>Darren Criss
Isn't he very young for that role?
Maybe he's like Adam in the case he's St. Peter in the name only.
This show isn't very good at adapting characters from their sources. Same issue as Helluva Boss.
Can't wait for St. Peter to say frick
Everyone knows in trading cards you gotta have one useless crap to make people feel left out
On the whole I'm very dissapointed by it so far.
I liked it more as it went on, but overall it's very mediocre.
>the loss of Stamper as Sir Pentious is a massive downgrade.
I'm positive he's still in jail
Wait Stamper went to jail? That's new to me. Last I heard like two years back he was huffing crack with Ranch hands.
>Poison was the only memorable one so far.
Bro your Stayed Gone? Your Loser, Baby?
Honestly, 'Hide Away' is probably the best, and unironically most memorable, piece of music to come out of Hazbin Hotel so far.
Bravo Viv.
I agree
Fans need to demand Viv include it in the official OST.
Some Twitxgay please innocently ask her about this song you heard and which episode it's going to be in. We need an official Viv reaction to fans associating it with Hazbin Hotel.
>Fans need to demand Viv include it in the official OST.
no that's fricking gay!
>no that's fricking gay!
There's so much irony in that statement that Alanis Morissette would choke on it like a jagged little pill.
I was gonna call out as a zoomer, but the alanis morissette suggested otherwise.
How powerful would Walter be in Hell?
Very. Easily Overlord tier.
Would actually be interesting Viv designing a Walter Meth Lord Cancer Demon and seeing what she would come up with.
lol, I get what you're trying to suggest, but i think part of the moral of the show is that he'd somehow frick it over for everyone AND himself in the process.
I see now, how people hyped discussions for the series only to be terribly disappointed.
Because that idea would genuinely improve everything about the writing instead of being exclusively shallow.
>how people hyped discussions for the series only to be terribly disappointed.
Her version of hell is almost straight out of Johnny the homicidal maniac (created by the guy the made invader Zim) where everyone is vain and one dimensional
I think that if I watch that show I'll immediatly spoil myself on every show inspired by it. Because I manage to escape the entire 00's without ever seeing a full episode.
It's decent but it is very over rated.
Well she did say she was heavily inspired by that guy's works but is claiming le horse show was her "true" inspiration which is bullshit.
>but is claiming le horse show was her "true" inspiration
Is there a different horse show that I'm not aware of? That makes no fricking sense.
BoJack bro
OH lmao I'm a moron
I thought you were talking about MLP. Le Horse show, full of musicals, because BoJack didn't have any musical numbers.
i google'd what that anon posted and sure enough vivi says that show was her biggest inspiration for hotel? i just find that hard to believe, its nothing like it.
>its nothing like it.
yeah, like what?
Man she has a bunch of voice actors from Invader Zim on both of her projects. I'm fairly positive that Adam in episode 1 is the guy that voiced one of the tallest in invader zim
JV's heaven and hell is funnier because it wasn't supposed to be taken seriously. Viv has WAY too much lore and thought put into how everything is supposed to work without any of the actual fun part of it all.
It's like reading a JtHM fanfiction where Nny is gay with Mmy and they spend Hell together constantly at each others throats about it.
I mean hell is supposed to be the absence of god's love so hell very well could be like that. A cold cynical place where everyone is vain and stupid with a massive eye watching over them at all times
>fans end up writing in those character details and then treating them like they have always been a thing.
Walt feels like a force of nature now after watching BCS. He just came in, destroyed everything he came into contact with, and left.
to expand on this, Walter would probably "take" over hell in an extremly short amount of time by taking out the other overlords through luck, exploiting their weakpoints(like he did with gus´hatred for hector) or actually outskilling them. Though just like in the show he will make everything crash and burn in an extremly short amount of time leaving others to pick up the scraps.
>exploiting their weakpoints(like he did with gus´hatred for hector) or actually outskilling them.
Oh yeah I thought about that.
That would be an interesting story to write, but would be better if you did an OC instead.
The nightmare future we live in, some nephew of an AMC executive will get his pitch of "Walter White in Hell" made in 20 years.
>How powerful would Walter be in Hell?
He wouldn't last an extermination cycle. He was just enabled by two people who thought they could use him more than he could use them and called some serious bluffs. Without anyone to get him started he's fresh meat.
He had a good luck roll and high charisma ONE time and he just costed on mild stat boosts through out the play session.
I'll give him some credit though. If Val found his ass and he managed to make hell-meth somehow he'd be an Overlord within a decade.
He’d also have to deal with Gus, Mike, The Salamanca Cartel, Jack and his Neo Nazis, and just about every other terrible person that died because of him gunning for his ass.
Would rather read 50k words of some OC story over anything Charlie says at this point
tbf a lot of them probably just frick off like Alastor or get wiped out in the exterminations too.
That's why I said the Nine Circles. I like the Interpretation of them being an actual descent and the smart ones would figure out how to chill in Gluttony or Wrath even if they aren't powerful, they'd know how to get around.
Helluva Boss is actually better
The musical numbers are
Loser, Baby is goated
nta
It was the only one I paid attention to because Keith David. And ironically it's the only one that kept my attention once it started.
I give it a 6.5/10 not terrible, but not rewatchable.
I think it's an even 6/10. Carried by the animation and the 2 times the average person above age 16 would genuinely laugh. Anything more is generous.
my score was a 6/10 till i heard Vaggie sing. now it's 5/10.
terrible
what episode does thanos show up
If you're a grown person and not much into musicals, chances are you're going to have this expression throughout all the available episodes so far and thinking you were seeing another fujoushi's work instead
So for somene that hasn't watched yet there's nothing of value here if, say, you skipped the musical portions of the pilot by reflex?
it's like they replaced all the comedy with music, yeah.
Damn, that was what I was afraid of, I thought some of the normal comedy bits were solid but musical numbers just don't do it for me.
I just like shitty Cinemaphile media ok?
The hilarious thing about New Charlie is that you can pretty much summarize the whole character into the same princess archetype Disney also just so happens to have been doing since Tangled. Hell, it even falls into the same art designs princesses have been having since Frozen that Charlie also happens to have. The reason WHY you don't associate her as much with those is because she's using the EXACT shipping trope that Luz and Amity have that she has with Vaggie (Charlie dresses in a more masculine fashion, Vaggie presumably feels more of a rival but just so happens to also wind up being Charlie's love interest, just like Amity to Luz, it's honestly one of the most overused yuri tropes alongside next to popular mlm tropes).
spent $50,000 with a black guy and has been hotel character
Anyone notice how nobody makes memes or jokes about shit cartoons anymore? What happened to that? Where are the goofs at it's expense?
>Where are the goofs at it's expense?
They all got made over a period of 4 years. Climaxing at the $50k animation.
So far it ranges from alright to good with more toward the alright side. Some of the songs are genuinely great though
What the frick did Sir Pentious even do to get in hell? He seems quite reasonable for a sinner.
Ez not accepting christ as our lord and savior
Take this theory:
Viv's main goal is to frick up a young generation with a twisted tale of the bible so that Christianity can collapse due to Satanism and the usher in of the end days.
Already, it's working and Loona is doubling down on it.
Anon nobody cares about going to Church because it's just not really a "thing" people do anymore. We all have actual shit to worry about right now than "saving our souls".
I'll still go to Church over anything in this world. This world can suck my dick, God is first.
Good for you then. Just don't expect everyone else to follow you.
I'm more "backseat" Catholic myself. Live and let live, turn the other cheek, all that.
Tim moron Pool is the second homosexual I've seen thinking Lucifer "making fireworks" in the intro animation is supposed to somehow be taken literally. How to not have your opinion taken seriously at all. Viv is moronic but that's just spastic.
I can’t believe this website has fallen so far that we have people unironically clutching their pearls over a show being about hell
What does a link to a youtube video have to do with this website? Everyone here was defending the show including Christians.
> tim pool being fricking moronic
wow. next youll tell me the sky is blue
Kek, more morons trying to make this controversial:
>'muh mass cancellation'
lol not likely. This is a horse that wont run.
Of course Viv is moronic and this is some kind of gay propaganda effort, (at least in her mind), so I expect seriously religious people to not watch it and maybe object on principle, but gays trying to stir this shit is on the level of the anti-Harry Potter shit back in the day:
>ZOMG!
Spoiler:
Underrated made-for-TV old kino film about how a good preacher becomes corrupted without even realising it.
It's more like a warning about the subtlety of evil. Great cast you'll recognise. You'll probably like it if that's your genre. Has kind of a Twilight Zone feel to it.
Tradwife tik-tok shit isn't an indication that Christianity is coming back, if anything it's been on a massive decline with no end in sight.
TikTok "tradwives" are just a bunch of clout chasers that are riding the backlash for views and fame and they refuse to acknowledge it. It's the sin of pride and narcissism. Also, most traditional wives don't have tiktoks at all nor do they label themselves something as social media hashtag #tradwives. Zoomers really don't understand any real Christian or person with any sense can see right through their games.
>it's just not really a "thing" people do anymore.
Maybe not among SSRI-popping zoomer tiktok addicts.
these sorts of stories have been going on since the rise of Christianity.
doomsday predictions are for smoothbrained schizos.
But muh random italiano man
cringe
anon she's just a fujo that wanted to do a musical cartoon with swears and gay shipping. I don't know why some of you guys are so obsessed with making up schizo theories about Viv she's not that interesting. She's just a tumblr womanchild
*rich kid who wanted to make gay rape fetish shows about misunderstood demons who scream "frick," got funding for it because of course she did.
>hazbin hotel is turning kids evil!
this theory doesn't make sense when you have 9001x as many kids getting their brains melted out of their skulls by youtube and tik tok and public schools every day. Their generation's fricked anyways why is some Amazon streamslop theater kid devil cringe gonna ruin them further
It’s not a children’s show.
Who pays that much for a fricking AMV? Dude deserves to be a laughing stock
my dog is enjoying it so far.
Your battlestation is moronic and lame.
Do you ever take that headset off?
yeah.
i dunno how they did it, but this song slaps.
Oh
Ohhhhh
You're a moron that bought the AR googles didn't you?
The size of that window. My sides. What they say about the people here is true isn't it?
Frick off Luna media
Jail-cell sized window? a basement??
I liked it. Centaurworld left a hole in my life for fruity cartoon musicals and this fits that nicely.
> husk calls a character whos being raped a whiny b***h
pure fricking kino
i mean, advocating for husk, if you notice he didn't even get to know angel dust had been raped
he knows i think, angel dust told him while he was drunk. he alludes to this at the start of the episode
he told him he hates the scripts of his porno movies, I don't think they mention him angel telling anything about rape to husk, I don't think he would be as harsh with angel during the beggining if he knew
>Angel, bro, I lost at gambling once and now I'm forced to do favors occasionally for this greasy-haired deer guy. My life is so hard.
Alastor made him go shirtless at all times
>Husker was a card sharp
>AD was a mobster
>Alastor was a serial killer
>these are the people we're supposed to root for
I don't fricking know, maybe I'm too boomer to get this show.
You're right, it is stupid
Twilight is the ultimate proship work and it isn't nearly as fricked up as Hazbin.
>Twilight is the ultimate proship work
It's vanilla as frick anon. Age gap, watching a teenager sleep, imprinting? Weak.
Try gay vampires and their pet e-girl.
Did you forget about Jacob imprinting onto a Edward and Bella's baby
Let's be honest here, if Viv actually showed Al doing things that make him comparable to Valentino (Not even raping Husk, just forcing him to do fricked up shit like making him become a cannibal against his will) then at least a third of the fanbase would get pissed at Viv because Alastor fans are for the most part fricking moronic. Also, Viv herself won't let Alastor actually be evil because he's playing babysitter for Charlie on behalf of Lilith, he's just 'Le Quirky'.
>won't let Alastor actually be evil
this forced sexy tumblrman is the worst. at least bill cypher DID creepy shit with his powers.
I got severe Bill vibes from essentially the entire male cast. They all have his design elements specifically from humanized fanart. Especially Alastor.
Potentially abusive but sweet to his favorite, demigod level power that he never uses because he's soooo above it all (and missing the point of Bill who regularly used everything he had to frick people up) and other fanfiction interpretations.
>new
It's existed since the early 10's afaik

Stop taking your hormones and dilating troony. YWNBAW.
Based post.
Accurate statement ever
you can't talk like this about anyone when your entire religion it's based on councils made by elder homosexuals hundreds of year ago, mistraductions and cherry picking
even the Quran mogs your bible in terms of accuracy from generation to generation, and that book is shit
It's free will baby.
>less religious
Um... Christianity has been the rise actually.
Lol no
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decline_of_Christianity_in_the_Western_world#:~:text=The%20percentage%20of%20people%20belonging,38.9%25%20in%20the%202021%20Census.
>Christianity, the largest religion in the United States, experienced a 20th-century high of 91% of the total population in 1976.[31] This declined to 73.7% by 2016[89] and 64% in 2022.[31] The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) lost about 30% of its congregation and closed 12.5% of its churches: the United Methodist church lost 16.7% of its congregation and closed 10.2% of its churches. The Presbyterian Church had the sharpest decline, losing over 40% of its congregation and 15.4% of its churches between 2000 and 2015.[90] Infant baptism has also decreased; nationwide, Catholic baptisms declined by nearly 34%, and ELCA baptisms by over 40%.[90]
America isn’t the entire world.
I have seen some people God is progressing into accepting him.
Your bubble is just getting smaller. Feels like there is more because the walls are closing in on you and the Mega Churches won't let you leave.
YOU LOST israelite
israelite lost, pol lost, /qa/ lost, twitter lost, tumblr lost, everyone lost
>israelite lost, pol lost, /qa/ lost, twitter lost, tumblr lost
True
>everyone lost
I'm winning though, fricking knew HH was going to be mediocre garbage ever since Amazon got involved.
Zoomers finding out about /misc/ and cooming over trad shit like those "reject modernity embrace tradition/masculinity" tiktoks and youtube shorts just means islam is also becoming popular.
Being based on the reddit of ideologies explains a lot
>just means islam is also becoming popular.
So you know Islam is Satanic. You can recognize your own kind.
Isaac Kappy and Mel Gibson are winning. You guys are exposing themselves as rotting meat.
>buddy there's less religious people than ever before.
Nope. See:
Viv is a perfect example of how much of that kind of shit has seeped into people's brains where they don't even know they are doing it, just literally taking obviously irrational shit as gospel.
Viv has inflated ego syndrome, very common among people who made it for the first time.
I don't take much stock in a website that has Frozen 2 at such a high rating, both critic and audience.
Feels like Teen Titans Go for adults. Charlie is still cute though. <3
>Charlie is still cute though.
i'm genuinely annoyed that I can't see cuteness in charlie anymore
It's a rare case where the series is at least an order of magnitude worse than the pilot. Vivzie doesn't have a bone in her back, she should have stood up for the pilot voice cast.
yeah yeah we get it, you liked Michael "same voice for every show" Kovacs, keep crying and tune in for season 2 gay
we could lower this score.
>LET'S GET THIS SHOW RATING DOWN
>Cinemaphile... ASSEMBLE!
Cinemaphile's not your personal army kid
nta but angry review bombing isn't a Cinemaphile army thing.
Try making your own show or promoting other underrated shows instead of being upset that an butthole is successful.
I'm not the one mad here dum dum
Replied to the wrong person. The point still stands with people who are obsessed with that butthole. Life isn't fair but you're not gonna make anything of yourself if you're gonna cry about it.
bruh i ain't doing shit! You're the one who took that as a call to arms.
Why don't you pass the time by playing a little solitaire?
Or raise it? It's success would rustle more jimmies on twitter.
It's fine. it's good in fact.
Why is she so overacting (oversinging?)
How is Mirab.... I mean Ros.... I mean Vaggie in the show?
>Pilot Alastor radio filter voice is miles better than the actual show Alastor radio filter
how the frick
>FRICK SEX FRICK SEX FRICK SEX FRICK SEX FRICK SEX FRICK SEX FRICK SEX FRICK SEX WERE EDGY TVMA BTW FRICK SEX FRICK SEX FRICK SEX FRICK SEX.
Trite.
I saw it and it didn't even have that many sex jokes or swears
(You)'re a loser, baby
I love how so many people here who like/love HH are so obviously underage
>homosexual that spends the whole day talking about how much he hates the show
>failed artist/ voice actor
many such cases
What does the autist behind Helldeath think of the show?
https://strawpoll.ai/poll/vote/GDEnWezZSMbs
>Cinemaphilesensus so far is 5.61/10
About right tbqh
I would prefer episode polls.
They swing from awful to okay.
>show is supposed to be something like some hotel owner trying to change demons for the better
>IMMEDIATELY drops that for some random war im supposed to care about
theres nothing wrong with episodic "[guest] of the week" style of things, what the frick? you can still add the plot in between these too
>show is supposed to be demon assassins killing humans who could potentially be morally corrupt/innocent
>IMMEDIATLY drops that for some random demon class war im supposed to care about
The best way to put it is Viv took the South Park hell where the joke is that it gets less hellish and more mundane everytime we see it and tried to seriously worldbuild around that concept
>is it actually as bad as people say it is?
only if you aren't gay
I've only seen terminally online tenderqueers complain about it.
So we have hit the "everyone who disagrees with me is a troony!" cope I see.
Nah, it's actually pretty good
>FRICK SHIT WE'RE IN FRICKING HELL WHAT A FRICKING SHITTY PLACE FULL OF FRICKERS AND SHITTY DEMONS FRICK SHIT PISS
>FRICK
10/10 dialogue
Instead of overexaggerating, can you give me the worst lines or dialogue that you find objectionable? Because frick Viv and her shit, but I don't see it personally.
cartoon autists are like that, they are not used to excessive swearing and it triggers them, same with too much sexy, that's why they are here, not on Cinemaphile, nothing to do with religion per say
Fair enough.
Most anons have never interacted up close with people who would actually speak like this. Or Eastern Europeans and Australians.
It's not a matter of age either, some people just swear a shit ton but you'd never run into them if you dont talk to more than 10 people a year.
that's why i said THIS scene is NORMAL and tame in comparison to the rest of the series.
People who swear a lot IRL can still find it REALLY annoying when a character like Blitzo just swears ever other word or there's a sexual side to it.
When looking for this clip, I was surprised to hear Octavia didn't swear, that's how common it is in series.
Canadians do
>demons swearing in hell
>out of character
bruh
the show shows how all the most annoying homosexuals will go to hell, even the gays know where they are headed
>BUT IT’S HELL!!!!
You don’t get to play that card after the Fizz shit, moron.
>Episodes 1 and 3 are heavily flawed, poorly paced, and painfully mediocre
>Episodes 2 and 4 are good to really good and if it could stay at this level consistently, it'd all would have been worth the wait.
I'm guessing episode 5 is going to be lame and episode 6 will be a banger.
Nah it's actually pretty great if you like musicals. Especially episode 4.
How come St. Peter didn't get a card? Isn't he going to be a character?
so, what do you think eve's deal is? is she in heaven, or in hell? has she split from adam and become independent, or does he just constantly chest on her?
If the theories are correct then she became Roo or "The Root of All Evil", maybe as its vessel?
I know Cinemaphile is usually Cinemaphilentrarian but do you really all feel that negative about the show? I've seen the four episodes and I was entertained while it was on. Didn't watch the clock once wondering how much time is left
I agree not everything's a hit, and I was annoyed at Angel Dust's poison song (mostly the visuals, lyrics are alright), but that seems excessive no? I dunno, not everything is out yet, but so far the lowest I'd give is a 7 out of 10. We honestly could have gone sooooo much worse, yet we got nuggets of fun.
The general consensus seems to be that it's mediocre at worst. Personally I liked it.
This anon said it best imo.
Doesn't help bad actors on both sides of the coin have been utterly obsessed with this show for five fricking years and have made their entire lives revolve around weather or not Vivinne succeeds or fails or their eyes.
its unwarranted, but kind of inevitable. people had ridiculously high expectations, neopuritans hate it for covering "problematic" subject matter, and the alt right saw a gay show made by a woman who's immature enough to feed the trolls and declared it dinner time
I was checking the time left on Ep 1 with Adam because it was bad.
Serious question: Does this show turn people gay? Debating whether or not to watch with my brother but don't want to make him gay
If you're brother is in the closet this might take him out of it.
Maybe I should reframe my question. Does anyone straight watch this show and remain straight? I'm female so I'm immune to impulsive sexuality changes
It seems like 99% of fanbase is just coomers over the gay scenes
1. breasts or GTFO
>don't blame me I don't make the rules
2. Rule #30
3. So YWNBAW
4. I'm straight and I'm trying to ignore all the off-putting gay shit, but that last episode was a bit hard to tolerate, after Angel was bad enough the rest of the time.
5. No, not going to ever turn me gay. Literally revolted by all that shit.
Nah you'll get at least a bit bi. Be warned.
Too many songs t.bh
I am pleasantly suprised by Angel Dust new VA
All of the new voices are pretty fine IMO. Not really noticeably worse or better than the OG's(aside from Husk who's the big driving force on why I even care about him now.) besides the fact they can all without a doubt sing, something I was iffy on the original Angel VA being able to do with how autotuned Addict was.
Oh, and also Sir Pentious and the Eggs, but even disregarding Viv dropping the OGs those two weren't gonna come back for personal reasons.
I don't know, none of my friends are straight.
Yeah amount of songs and quality of VA's performances in them suprised me as well. I didn't mind Addict even with autotune, probably because his OG voice is unique and back then I wouldn't see anyone replacing him, but they did really good job with recast
I liked Addict too, I just wonder how he would sound without it.
The dialog most times are just awful
Yeah, it's pretty bad, and Zestial pseudo-ye-olde-speak just made it doubly so.
I just want hotel shenanigans
Since there's an actual plot the hotel plot just feels so stakeless
Right like what's the point of the hotel
>People either wanted a sincere show about how a naive girl would save demons from ever lasting damnation
>Others wanted a slice of life
>Barely get either
This show doesn't know what it wants to be.
If you couldn't tell things were gonna go down this way after everything with Helluva Boss I don't know what to tell you.
So the bigger the piece of shit and scumbag you were in life means you get perks and more power?
I can't understand what Zestial is saying
I'm pretty familiar with every form of English going back centuries and his shit still sounds pretty fricky to me.
>Episode 1 was just bleh
>Episode 2 and 3 were passable
>Episode 4 was actually good when characters were talking and it wasn’t a rape porn HMV
Because it objectively isn't bad. It's got many problems but most of those are subjective. It isn't poorly animated despite inconsistencies, the songs aren't all awful and it does its job. It's a very, very strong 'ok'
Cinemaphile can't find anything bad with it that doesn't devolve into women/gays/religion bad outside of its sloppy lore and far too busy world building.

>didn't believe the story leaks

>vox says alastor has been gone for years in episode 2
I am now officially worried for the plot of this show
>Lucifer got cucked by a serial killer
lol that would totally be what a woman would do
Alastor is Lilith in disguise or is working for her.
>Alastor is Lilith in disguise
Now THAT would be a twist
Probably the latter. Alastor and Lilith both existed separately 8 years ago. Definitely weird as frick that both Lilith and Alastor disappear at the same time and only Alastor comes back.
Got a link to the leaks
It's homosexual/satanic garbage
It’s homosexual garbage built for the satanic.

I hate it when companies do this. It's not an "Amazon Original". Some b***h came up with it on her own, funded it, posted it to youtube, and it got big. Nobody at Amazon thought of it. It's not their original. But companies love to say it's ours ours ours and we did it first. Frick corpos.
Also, yes, it is fricking trash.
Jill Harris was never paid for voicing Charlie in the Pilot.
Does Vox work for Blackhat?
All villans KNEEL to Blackhat.
All villains do whether they know it or not
>Black hat
>The hat man
Annoying.
>shit frick sex wiener x100
>this is supposed to be funny
Of course it's bad.
The Christian pearl-clutching over HH is funny because it's toddler shit when it comes to "what if Hell/Lucifer/the demons were the good guys/protagonists" shit.
>HAHAHA ARE CHRISTIANS TRIGGERED YET?!
Sounds like people want them to and aren't getting a reaction they hoped.
This entire thread is full of Christians getting triggered
Nah just cucks trolling since they lost. This shows most defensive fans even admitting half the episodes so far are bad and they're the biggest critics.
But isn't this what Chrisitans invision hell and it's inhabitants to be like?
Yeah actual ones are celebrating that most of the cast are gay people thrown down in hell.
I think it's more because there isn't a straight character in the entire show.
I hate all the new design changes, especially the scientist's gf one.
But most of all I hate new voice actors. NONE of the voices fit as old voice actors did. Just fricking look at Killjoy, who approved this shit.
The new VAs grew on me, but yes, literally everyone agrees Katie killjoy was butchered. She sounds just like blitz.
why hasn't matt walsh made a video about the this yet, its the only reason I'm watching really
Theres lots of left leaning cartoons like this why would he care other then it being popular.
>being popular.
exactly
There isn't going to be a single song in the series like that 'inside of every demon is a rainbow' one from the pilot, is there
also it's weird for the pilot of a show to be required viewing
If there is it's probably gonna be somewhere near the climax, here's hoping.
I can fix her.
I can frick her.
You don't frick Niffty, she fricks you.
it's heavily implied she likes it both ways
It wouldn't be a problem if her dumb shit was taken off her hands after the first draft to be made not shit by a couple of actual writers
But then it would only be her show as the idea guy and designs...
the good timeline
Some people just need to be tardwrangled.
We've all seen what happened when John K. was let loose.
POISUN YUH FEEDIN' ME POISUN
The visuals make it even better. Viv knocked that one out of the park. Slimey and sick all over.
When his ‘ahh ahhh ahhhhhhhh’s from the song were synced with him jolting back and forth and arching his neck and doing cum face it was actually kinda hot
>despair
>but also an erection
THAT GIRL IS POISON
NEVER TRUST A BIG BUTT AND A SMILE
THAT GIRL IS POISON
I guess you could say Valentino got him WITH A TASTE OF A POISON PARADISE
>2021 + 3
>has been still hasn't surpassed this design
What is the art team doing?
The only 10/10 standout design Viv ever made. Everything else is way too repetitive and predictable.
Hellova Boss is way better, honestly. Hazbin is like "meh".
The first, what six? or something, I don't care to check, episodes of Hazbin were way better, everything after that has been just as shit as the rest
frick I meant helluva, now I must commit sudoku
Hazbin Pilot + first five or so episodes of Helluva >>>> Amazon Hazbin >>> HB Season 2
Why is everyone saying "Alister" instead of "Alastor" now
Bojack did have musical members.
>Kiss Cherri
He's gonna sex her, after marriage
I liked it.
I don't think this was worth 4 years of fanfic, headcanon, and hype. Not with pacing and a plot this bad.
>Proship
Is this a new buzzword?
Velvet doesn't look/sound young or fashionable enough to be some "social media overlord."
Velvet is around 30, so if she died in the last few years that would've meant she grew up during the social media boom and seen a lot of platforms come and go.
It is literally the most tumblr humor cartoon I've ever seen in my life. I cannot figure out why threads for it exist on Cinemaphile
>The show started out as a webcomic on tumblr in the early 2010's, when tumblr was at it's peak.
Alastor will lick Charlie's nude body
Used goods. She's got Valentino's sex spit on her arm
>Watching E2
>That "VAL" from the TV guy
goddamn i hope hes a powerhouse on par with alastor, hes my fav character alongside adam already
I did not care for Poison.
