I wouldn't be surprised if that ends up being the twist, though I'd prefer if he really is a villain who still helps Miles, or at least a dark anti-hero.

      Anonymous

I probably could see him being that way

      Yeah
Given that he's still got Uncle Aaron around and his dad was clearly enough of an influence for Prowler Miles to make a mural of him the same way that Spider Miles made a mural of his uncle, then I could see Prowler Miles being the sort of least-evil Villain on Earth 42, if not an outright anti-hero.
On the radio, we hear about the Sinister 6 Cabal and we see all these mega-corp buildings around.
But 42's Aaron and Miles go to Aaron's apartment, not one of the other organizations. Makes me think that they're unaffiliated with Kingpin or Sinister 6 or anyone else, which further suggests to me that they're Robin-Hood types

I feel he's gonna be dark anti-hero (well "dark" as far as a PG movie will go anyway).

            >Lizard Peter got crushed
            >Prowler got shot
            >Octavia got run over by a truck and probably sucked into another dimension to die
            >Spider-Man getting whacked by Kingpin.
This trilogy is gonna have the most deaths in all of Spider-Man next to Infinity War.

He's out for himself and his family in an anarchic version of New York and his mom seems safe and happy. He's an actual antihero, not just a hero with a dark theme like Batman.

      This.
After watching the movie it left me thinking that this was SUCH a better reveal than the "Who's bad guy Miles Morales of the 616 universe" we got in the comics

Remember, 42's universe has an Alchemax. Prowler wouldn't work for Kingpin or Octavius in this timeline, so he sent his son to be an anti-hero and protect his family.

If he's the hero then he did a piss poor job. Miles-42's Brooklyn looks like a third world city.

I mean he hasn't actually tortured Miles yet. Just tied him up and intimidated him so far.

So I was kinda confused, it almost seemed like Miguel had slipped into Peter B's universe since it looked like Peter B was with him when the universe collapsed. But then Peter B goes home to his universe at the end, so clearly that wasn't the case.

      Anonymous

I think it was just to show that the world collapsing and all that did have various different Spider-Men running to try and help him the same way a bunch of Spider-Men came to help Pavitr's world. It was also probably to show just why Peter was siding with Miguel on this, he watched Miguel's world fall apart firsthand so he knows that the same could happen to Miles' world and he doesn't want that happening. Without that firsthand experience, he probably wouldn't have sided with Miguel.

        Anonymous

I guess I figured Miguel didn't form the spider society until after "his" world was destroyed.

When did Miguel’s universe collapse? He could’ve gotten Peter B in the society in the time from the end of ITSV to then, there’s like at least 9 months between the two movies since he has a kid now

        Anonymous

I suspect that universes flow at different speeds. Peter's kid had enough hair that she's not some newborn. Probably a year or so old I'd bet.

Did anyone thinks during the ending of the film that Uncle Aaron is going to be the Spider-Man of Miles Universe?

      Anonymous

Not really, mainly because I knew that alternate!Miles had to show up sooner or later. And it would be weird for Miles' mom to not know who spiderman was if there was a spiderman.

      Anonymous

I just knew there was gonna be something uncle Aaron related with how much he was being brought up, it barely hit me that it’s gonna be evil Miles when he got knocked out while Aaron was standing next to him still

  21. 11 months ago
    Anonymous

So aside from the fact that Miguel is just wrong and probably in denial, why would Miles' dad "need" to die? Miles already had his Uncle Ben moment with his uncle. He doesn't "need" another one.

I wonder if they'll talk about that in the sequel.

      Anonymous

The risk is that the universe become "uncanon" meaning that it gets ejected beyond the spider-verse. Miguel is gonna have a happy ending when he finds out that rejected universes outside the web continue to live peacefully and Madame Web and Totem Spiders were forcing this bullshit.

Given that the spider from E-42 was new it means either:
    >Miles 42 was meant to be Spider-Man.
    >Peter 42 it's the same age as Miles and Miles 42 was meant to be one of his first villains or never come to be with a safer new york.
If either its the case then NY-42 really went to the shitter in the year and a half it didn't have an Spider-Man.

Wouldn't that line up with 1610 Miles being an anomaly then? Considering PS4 Peter has his own Miles with Spider-Powers and the argument being that Dimension Hopping when you're not supposed to be there leads to doom?

He is and they were going after the Sinister Six Cartel (which the TV "conveniently" mentions). This should surprise no one as Hobie AKA Prowler AKA Miles/Uncle has always been a good guy even going back to his first appearance in the 60s. He's always been a what if Peter with even less money. This isn't a shocking or impressive twist.

Uncle Aaron was literally plotting a robbery with who he thought was his Miles while going up the stairs.

I wouldn't put it past the story having Spider Miles turn Prowler Miles round and help save the spider-verse, but my biggest guess is that Spider-Miles saves his dad, and all the Spider-Men still have to deal with their dead uncles. The writers are set on taking a huge dump on all the Spider-Men to prop up Miles.
