I thought Riddler and Catwoman were weak. Other then that it's probably my favorite now.

Finally a Batman movie that doesn’t have bat nipples or guys in grass skirts playing drums

It looked good and Pattinson is a good Batman, but the story was mid.
    Nolan is still king.

Best is batfleck for looking like actual batman and Keaton for being in an actual watchable batman movie

If they take out the wacky "villains" it's not entertaining at all. Not sure if you can call them villains or not since they make you like the new ones. It's just a guy doing some karate and he doesn't even fight anyone or anything corrupt.

They screw up the story, plot and direction for the modern stuff

Liked the cinematography and overall direction of the film, didnt like the blackwashing of characters and some of the monologues ware really corny. Overall I think it was the best Batman movie since the two Burton films but thats not saying much since both Snyders and Nolans versions ware awful.

Liked the overall aesthetic and tone. The costumes, sets, colors, music, etc. It isn't much but it's nice when someone takes a played-out genre and does something at least a little different with it.

Casting was great too. I really liked Pattinson as a young Batman and Farrel as Penguin. Catwoman was hot and I like Riddler being an incel.

The story had a good premise but wasn't put together that well. The detective stuff was straight forward and not particularly intriguing and it was all way too long. There was no reason for it to continue for as long as it did after Riddler and his goons were defeated.

the Batman is not only a shit Batman movie but a shit movie in general.
    >bad dialogue
    >Bruce is an emo twink
    >the gimp mask
    >marketed as ultra realistic but fails
    >the flying squirrel suit scene
    >wants to be Nolan 2.0 but failed
    >blacked Gordon for some reason
    >Catwoman is a black transvestite crackhead
    >Riddler is a reddit shitposter
    >Terrible third act
    >Batmobile is a regular muscle car but BLACK

I hated how batman instantly solved the riddles. I'm not sure if it's that way in the comics and they're just sticking with the source material but it felt boring. At least pretend like the questions are tough. Also the last 30 minutes seem to drag on forever for some reason.

I actually thought the opposite. It was hyped as a detective movie but Batman was one step behind literally everyone. He would just show up and the cops would spoonfeed info. Or he just flat out gets the riddle wrong. Batman was kinda moronic.

The movie was pretty good but Colin/Penguin were like out of some totally unrelated and far more campy movie.
It was tonally bizarre to go through a gritty Crow-esque aesthetic and a fairly "realistic" Riddler and then deal with the Penguin hamming it up and chewing scenery like it's some cheesy shlock.

I also thought that the Falcone/Catwoman thing was kind of just there, pasted onto an already finished script.

The script is terrible. Seriously the whole "url" thing is so goddamn cheesy. And the third act is pretty bad.
Visually it's amazing though, with a great score. Pattinson is a great Batman, Farell is a great penguin and italian guy is a good Falcone. But the rest of the casting

the writing reminded me of a stupid person thinking theyre writing a very clever detective movie
    >lets use a classical song and make it different so it sounds eerie! .... no I dont know any classical songs, I'll just search top 10 songs and pick the one I know (Ave Maria)
    >lets make the riddler like the zodiac killer because....le real I dont know
    >lets have one of the riddles be about a mistake in spanish. Batman wont know this one
    >there should be a scene where Batman and riddler meet like in Heat but it turns out riddler is le clever somehow makes more bombs along the sea wall in vehicles that the police ignored for weeks

As a Hispanic the "rata alada" twist was pretty stupid lmao. I also hated the lens choice as the fricked up dop and distortion gave me a headache similar to the one I had with the Snyder zombie casino movie. The rest of stuff I've forgotten, was ok I guess.

The wypipo rant was cringe, not the wypipo bad message itself but that it was delivered with zero conviction. Her hot latina bimbo lips should have been right in bruces face raining saliva and spanish slurs other than that it was decent

    Too dark to be fair
    Not even Bruce
Batman is very dumb, but I'll give him a pass on that because it's his ssecond year as the Bats

A tad too grounded, but I guess all these years of MCU has changed superheroes for me for a bit

I felt like in a way the movie was trying to set the mood that it was like the 90s or before cell phones, maybe flip phones just getting circulated, but then catwoman felt like she was right out of 2020

the only criticism I had while watching it was when Alfred almost died and it was supposed to be this whole big emotional deal but it fell flat for me because (1) we barely spent any time with Alfred and their relationship wasn't very developed, and (2) we knew he wasn't going to die because it was the first fricking movie, they should have saved Alfred's life being threatened for at least the second or third one.
overall though I honestly think it's the best Batman movie yet, I loved it.

I dislike that you can't watch this movie during the day. Even if you have an OLED the slightest bit of light getting through the curtains makes it indecipherable.

So is it the worst film version of Gordon? I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed Jeffrey Wright's version. I don't know if I thinking it's the best but I liked how often he showed up to shoot the shit with Batman and also his enthusiasm to help Robert Battinson during his climactic battle with a bunch of Riddler goons. I think it's a pretty good Alfred take as well Andy Serkis was good although I thought his weakest scene was when he's talking to Bruce in the hospital bed about Falcone. The scene where he just insists Bruce wear his cufflinks for some formal meeting was vastly more interesting. Riddler should of been involved directly in the final showdown. Catwoman was okay I guess.
