>years ago Into the Spiderverse came out >everyone was amazed by visuals >"Finally something different! Surely this will mean future animated movies will want to experiment more with visuals now!" >present day >every animated movie is just copying Spiderverse now
The animation industry is never going to improve is it
I mean Spider-Verse just copied Peanuts in the first place. If you want original styles stop looking to big studio flagshits, and look into actually passionate animation by smaller studios.
I never for a minute thought it would make movies want to experiment. American animated films are too expensive and too kid oriented to ever be that weird or different. Also I can only think of like 2, maybe 3 movies that have really closely copied Spider-verse to a significant degree.
homosexual ass color scheme. Get that stupid fricking pink/purple out of there. Guys like dark blues and black and concrete. Illicit the feel of an actual city at night not a gay night club. Blood red, no stupid homosexual palettes. May as well throw your fricking money away their to marry the two and get a profit from general audiences.
just because its batman beyond doesn't mean its gonna be bruce timm style just like there are other pieces of media featuring batman in a non bruce timm style
I'm glad someone else realizes that Batman Beyond's aesthetic isn't just "dude retro 80s synthwave colors" that plagues the cyberpunk genre these days.
Much better. Took all that fricking bisexual lighting out. But now it doesn't look very comic booky. Add lots of red and you'll have something stylish.
Much better imo
People associate the world of BB with red when that’s simply not true, only the suit and the inside of the Batwing were ever red in the show
I'm so sick of pink and purple.
OG Batman Beyond had a nice tint of red following you wherever you go, but no. Let's make everything pink and purple because MUH BLADE RUNNER.
The Spiderverse guys pitched a Batman Beyond movie in a similar style to Warner Bros
They ended up turning it down but apparently the pitch was so good at the beginning the suits said “listen we’re telling you outright, we will never greenlight a Beyond film” to “….maybe” at the end
>uhhh look bro here is Batman…BUT LE CYBERPUNK FUTURE >uhhh the new Batman is a kid who’s being mentored…BY LE ORIGINAL >uhhh the new Batman has to balance being a crimefighter….AND BEING A LE HIGHSCHOOLER!???
It really is incredible isn’t it? The entire concept of Beyond shouldn’t work. It should fail at every turn, yet it’s the only “Superhero in the future/passing the torch” story that has ever fricking worked. It set the bar so insanely high and nothing has ever come close
This. I don't trust modern WB to not frick it up somehow like they did just about everything else. The color scheme already makes me feel like they're chasing the Spider-Verse audience and I dread to imagine how they'll change the writing and characterizations to try and attempt such a thing.
>NEW THING COPYING SLIGHTLY LESS NEW THING
It's literally the same color palette and visual theme as in the original series from 1999, you dumb homosexual.
The show does a lot of visually striking palettes in certain moments that really stick with you
I thought most of the show looked like this till I realized it was only for inside vehicles like this
You're pretty strong for some clown who thinks he's Miles Morales
Stfu this looks amazing
Go back
nah you go back instead homosexual
Is that because he’s black? Come on man I’m sure it takes more than just blackface to be Miles right… Right?
>tfw anons on this board are too young to get the reference
Don't worry anon, I do.
Uhhh are you answering your own implication to feel special? Well that’s pretty special alright special Ed.
I AM MILES MORALES
Unironically yes
Is that supposed to make it bad

I need to rewatch Peanuts to see if it holds up. I mostly remember liking that there was no stupid kids movie memes
I never for a minute thought it would make movies want to experiment. American animated films are too expensive and too kid oriented to ever be that weird or different. Also I can only think of like 2, maybe 3 movies that have really closely copied Spider-verse to a significant degree.
I'd honestly like to see more movies look like Spider-Verse than typical Pixar/Dreamworks style at this point, it's such a baller aesthetic.

>completely misunderstand the environment aesthetic
>completely misunderstand the character aesthetic
Thank god WB passed on this
just because its batman beyond doesn't mean its gonna be bruce timm style just like there are other pieces of media featuring batman in a non bruce timm style
It's cyberpunk Batman. It's a pretty easy to understand idea.
And they still missed it
I don't see how. Batman surrounded by a bunch of neon cyberpunk shit. It's pretty decent concept art here.
>he missed it too
What am I looking at
It seems like he redrew the face to be a lot less expressive and more like the cartoon.
Shut up redditor, stop acting intentionally ignorant
I'm glad someone else realizes that Batman Beyond's aesthetic isn't just "dude retro 80s synthwave colors" that plagues the cyberpunk genre these days.
If any DC property should use this art style, this is the right one for it.
That looks fricking awesome!
This is the one time it would be fitting
Spider-verse is cringe
It shouldn't be difficult to just do a new style for a whole movie
The original batman beyond was already stylish as frick are you really gonna b***h about the style when it makes sense here?
Too far in the other direction. The original series had some magenta pallettes for the backgrounds.
I will now watch your movie.

I want to see inque
What are these from? BB movie is being planned or something?

He's going to be blackwashed, isn't he?
No, they'll just have a lot of Max stuff
no you stupid c**t!
No way they aren't doing Blight too
Do it Batman! Take his anal virginity from behind!
SOVL

need them to never do anything to Batman Beyond.
This. I don't trust modern WB to not frick it up somehow like they did just about everything else. The color scheme already makes me feel like they're chasing the Spider-Verse audience and I dread to imagine how they'll change the writing and characterizations to try and attempt such a thing.
>Vandelay Industries sign in the background
Kramer really was Batman all along...
>Mad Stan becomes Chud Stan.
remindier that Spiderverse was made by the same people who made the Lego Movie.
They are experts in milking a good idea till people get sick of it.
>NEW THING COPYING SLIGHTLY LESS NEW THING

which was already a copy of Spider-Man 2099.
Ironic that Batman Beyond will be referred to as a knock-off no matter what, lmao.
Go back and watch the show. Neo-Gotham is not bathed in neon signs, and looks a lot more like a darker version of Metropolis.
Guess I couldn't get the opening sequence and dance club scenes out of my mind.
The show does a lot of visually striking palettes in certain moments that really stick with you
I thought most of the show looked like this till I realized it was only for inside vehicles like this
It’s okay, I’m sorry for saying you didn’t watch it, that was rude
You didn’t watch the original. The color palette is nothing alike.
This is what Neo Gotham City looks like. Not that dumbass visually bleeding red shit in the concept art
Reminder NOBODY on Production liked the idea of Terry being a clone, literally only a Bruce Timm did and he forced it over everyone else
He isn't a clone. It's still stupid, but he's not a clone.
>Trust the science Mr. McGinnis.
>But I already got 3 booster shots-
>Trust the science.
