I actually work at a funeral home cemetery. It's important to preplan and prepay as best as you can for the inevitable. So many people come crawling to me in their 80s, ready to discuss the arrangements they'd like to make island they're shocked at how expensive it is. Meanwhile, there are total chads that made monthly payments on their arrangements decades ago for a FRACTION of the price (some dude bought 2 plots with markers for him and his wife back in the 60s for 800$ total. Prices have since tripped or quadrupled). Also don't be a fricking dick, if you have loved ones and family that could survive you, throw down some money and get your wishes on file with a funeral home so when you die they don't have to spend a bunch of money and argue about what sort of burial or cremation you wanted.
Of course you'd promote a business model that has absolutely no meaning to me at the moment of my death. Once I'm gone, existence ceases to have whatever meaning it did have in the first place, so it doesn't matter what happens!
That said, I would prefer cremation and scattering (or burial, it's all the same after cremation), with no meaningful memorial marker. I can ensure that this happens by dying without friends or family, a common occurrence where the county deals with the final disposition of the remains. Watch the documentary film "A Certain Kind of Death", which details this process.
so I guess let the tax payers pay for your cremation? Real nice and dignified way to go loser.
Why do I need to spend money on a burial?
whether you go with a cheap burial or a cheap cremation, it costs money. If you don't pay it your surviving loved ones will, or the tax payer. Also, if you've already made arrangements that means your loved ones can actually mourn and celebrate your life when the time comes instead of arguing about who pays for what and "What would anon have wanted?".
Why would I give a shit? I will literally not exist anymore to care about any of this, and I will absolutely die before everyone else because I'm unhealthy as frick so I'll never have to deal with anyone else's shit either lmao.
>Why would I give a shit?
The same reason you have life insurance-- it's not all about you. funerals are for the living numbnuts
[...]
having your remains (whether cremated or in a casket) Stored in or above ground with a marker allows for surviving loved ones to have the closure and comfort of being able to "visit you". not everyone is sentimental like this, lots of people just scatter their ashes. But lots of children and grandchildren and friends appreciate being able to "visit" their loved ones after they pass. As I told the anon above, this stuff is for the living. It's not all about you, it's about easing your loved ones pain upon your passing and not leaving them with a bunch of questions and a bill.
Plan or don't plan, makes no difference to me...Eventually you WILL die and end up coming to me or other mortuarys as a stiff. And we get paid whether it's your money, your kids, or the tax payers.
>loved ones
The only reason i'm still alive is that if I died they'd come to my funeral. Fortunately, all I gotta do is outlive them so I can happily die alone and unloved without any of those people around me.

He's trying to play on the idea that you might not be a nihilist and a sociopath, and that you might actually care a little bit how other people feel after you're dead. Don't let him succeed. Maintain your atheistic, nihilist dick energy.
i have two life insurance policies one from my work and one just thru an insurance agent in the family so i'm not worried about it. if my math is correct my family will get like at least $60,000 after all is said and done
Not me, I will conquer death

too slow haha
>dying as a fricking newbie
shamefur
I used to be able to do it with alt codes but they nerfed it and now I can't do it anymore
Just get cremated and have your ashes dumped in an ocean or forest.
No one is visiting your grave after a year or two, it's a waste of money and time for all involved.
I am just gonna get buried next to my yard.
